Dolphin retreat, a 3000 sq. ft. OCEANFRONT beach house sitting atop a high dune, was recently remodeled in 2005. The house comfortably sleeps 16and has panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean which is a few yards below. A large deck overlooks the beach and ocean. The master bedroom suite has a private bath, a satellite TV/DVD/VCR and access to the ocean-front deck. All bedrooms are spacious and individually decorated. Granite kitchen countertops, maple kitchen cabinets, and Italian tile add to the beauty and charm of this OCEANFRONT home.

Two fully furnished oceanview dens with cable TVs offer plenty of living space. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room as well as a gas grill bring the comforts of home to your vacation.

The beach is easily accessed by a private dune walkover. The walkover has benches steps from the sand and water. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach recreation accessories are provided.

The house is ideally located for easy access to renowned golf courses in Ponte Vedra (home of The Players Championship) and St. Augustine. House is 5 minutes from Old St. Augustine and 10 minutes from two large outlet malls. Orlando and it's theme parks are a short two hour drive and make for a perfect day trip.

  • Although my family's beach vacation didn't work out due to family conflict, Ahmed and Wanda were both very nice, informative and flexible. They answered any questions that I had in a timely fashion. If we are able to get things back on track for another vacation, we will definitely keep you in mind. I'm disappointed I didn't get to experience Dolphin's Retreat in person but hopefully one day I will. Thanks Ahmed and Wanda for all your help!

  • We had our wedding on October 20, 2007. We could not have picked a better place. The view is one that you just have to see for yourself to believe it. The accomodations were perfect for our large families. We would recommend this house for a perfect vacation for anyone.

  • We just stayed at Dolphin Retreat & loved it. Can't rave about the beach & the house enough. House was in good shape & well stocked with dishes & linens & beach chairs & toys. Plenty of room & 1st flr den was great for separating the kids from the adults. We had two families but could easily accomodate three. Initially were concerned about being in Vilano Beach & thought we should have stayed in St. Augustine Beach but now prefer this area for proximity to downtown & everything. Very likely to stay here again next year - kids want to boogie board some more!

  • Does it get any better than this? Dolphin Retreat is perfectly named as you can walk out on the deck in the morning to watch the sunrise, dolphins swimming and pelicans eating the schools of fish that seemed to love to camp out right in front of the house. The kids loved hunting for shark teeth - we found a ton! 15 members of my family visited and had a blast. We had four couples and seven children and never felt cramped. The shared shower was a surprise and I'd switch the twin beds with the full size in the room with the trundle but other than that it was awesome. (Web site descriptions aren't quite accurate - queen and 2 sets of bunk beds downstairs, upstairs - master king, king, twin beds (share a bathroom - interesting shower), full and trundle in same room). It is less than 10 mins away from "downtown" and the neighbors were very friendly. Be sure to visit Cap's around the corner for dinner or lunch, the atmosphere outside with the trees and the water is incredible. Thanks for a memorable week!

  • I rented this house 1/2 week with my sisters, the other 1/2 with friends. The house was perfect for both. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, and separate living areas were great for kids! This house is perfectly appointed for a small or large group and we will definitely be renting again next summer!

  • The house was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly. Our group included my husband and I, 3 of our 4 children, one daughter-in-law and two grandsons. The house was comfortable and spacious, the weather was perfect and the ocean was just where we wanted it...right outside the window. Thanks for offering a great vacation home.
