My husband and I moved our family to Redondo Beach in 1976. We heard about the Mediterranean climate and safe beautiful beaches and decided this was the perfect place to raise our young family. Our eldest son learned to surf and it soon became his lifelong passion, while our youngest son enrolled in the junior sailing program at King Harbor Marina, kindling a similar aquatic interest, which later evolved into an interest in tournament waterskiing, which he continues to this day as a national level slalom skier, competing in sanctioned tournaments throughout the Country.
The Santa Monica Bay and, more specifically, Hollywood Riviera, and Redondo Beach provide unique opportunities for you and your family to enjoy, as we did, the tranquility of the Pacific Ocean environment with many places to see and year-round outdoor activities to enjoy during your stay.
A little history about this section of Los Angeles... The Hollywood Riviera (which is just South of our location in Redondo Beach) was the brainchild of Clifford R. Reid, who began developing this area of 604 acres in 1927 for the Huntington Land Company. In Clifford's eye, the area looked similar to the French Riviera, which he had visited on vacation. Clifford was also entranced by the movie industry, and envisioned this area south of Redondo as being a natural location for the Hollywood set. Today, the Hollywood Riviera is the jewel of the South Bay, with gorgeous views, perfect weather, and a friendly community that thousands are proud to call home.

Why the Owner Chose Redondo Beach
The Esplanade is one of the most beautiful locations in the world. It has the charm and ambiance of a Mediterranean beach resort.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Walking/biking distance from many local area attractions, including the Redondo Beach Pier, King Harbor, and Palos Verdes. The Pier is a favorite location for dining, snacking over the ocean or just walking through the shops and buying souvenirs. Sport fishing from the end of the Pier is a popular event. In the summer, there are weekly concerts and special events. Just North of the Pier is the famous International Boardwalk with the largest amusement center on the West Coast. There are many popular attractions here, including the Redondo Beach Fun Factory (with over 300 arcade games and kiddie rides), several fish markets, shops, eateries, and gift shops. Bring your kids to the Sunshine Kite Factory for a free YO-YO class (4pm on Saturdays) or select from a huge assortment of kites of all sizes (and for all ages). Nearby Riviera Village is a perfect place for browsing, strolling, and stopping outdoors for espresso and dessert. The shops are a lively mix of swimwear, sportswear, objects d'art, antiquities and California original art.
