The main floor includes a formal entry hall with large closets, formal dining room, library, powder room, staff kitchen, sun room/breakfast nook and large formal living room with fireplace and french doors leading to a private garden terrace. At the top of the stairs, the maid's quarters have become an enchanting children's room. A modern guest suite with a family TV room and separate entrance through a private courtyard, includes a fully-equipped private office, full laundry facilities and another 3/4 bathroom.
THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE DETAIL
From the bound volumes of Twain and Gibran in the lighted bookcase, to the sheet music on the baby grand piano, and the silver cocktail tray by the living room fire, this level of care and attention is beyond the domain of hotel service. The family's personal touch is everywhere, welcoming you like an old friend to the gracious charm of this storybook home.

About: Luxuriate in the sophistication of vibrant urban life from the respite of a quiet, beautiful and tranquil retreat just moments from Seattle, the cultural center of the Pacific Northwest – this is what we offer to you. We have spent countless meticulous hours to prepare for our guests what we seek when we travel – a home away from home that is beautifully furnished, spacious, clean — qualities of a fine hotel; with the convenience of a private home, fully equipped and functional, yet free of the personal items of the owner. We have created what we cannot find anywhere else in our travels. We are humbled by the bounty of our lives and are deeply pleased to be opening our homes and sharing our lifestyle with others while designating a portion of the revenue for philanthropy. It is a fresh idea that inspires our guests as much as it does us. Through this endeavor we have met many wonderful, like-minded individuals and philanthropists. It has been a pleasure beyond our fondest expectations. To learn more please visit LuxuryHomesforPhilanthropy on the internet. We hope you’ll choose one or all of our homes for your visit, enjoying these exclusive private homes while expanding the possibilities for philanthropy.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Known for its tree-lined streets, petite sidewalk cafes, independently-owned gift shops, clothiers, and eateries, Madison Park is the kind of neighborhood where proprietors are still likely to learn your name. A few blocks away is Washington Park Arboretum, a spectacular urban green space on the shores of Lake Washington. Comprised of more than 230 acres of winding paths, jogging trails, horticultural gardens, internationally recognized botanical collections, this lush parkland is open every day of the year. This graceful, historic enclave is a short 10-minute drive from the heart of the city where ferryboats ply the busy waterfront, the legendary Pike Place Market is in full swing and Seattle Center's Space Needle and Experience Music Project add their own sparkle to the city's eclectic mix. Seattle is known for its robust cultural life. Blessed with a fine collection of museums, galleries and independent booksellers, the city is said to be home to more coffee shops per capita than anywhere else in the country. Seattle's theatre, ballet and opera are presented in exquisite venues: from the opulence of the Paramount and Fifth Avenue Theater, to the sophistication of Benaroya Hall and the intimacy of ACT Theatre, there is something for every cultural palate. Known nationally for its focus on fresh, whole foods, innovative cuisine and bistro dining, Seattle is also a shopper's paradise offering everything from pocket-size boutiques to the finest luxury retail.
