Why the Owner Chose Montgomery Estates
After vacationing in beautiful Lake Tahoe for 15 years, we decided that Tahoe was always going to be a special place for our family to enjoy for years to come. We started by staying in hotels, then purchased a timeshare that we used throughout the year. Finally, we decided to find a home in a quiet, forested neighborhood, away from city noise, but close enough to enjoy the great Lake Tahoe ammenities: water, casinos, and skiing, without having to drive very far. Montgomery Estates was the answer, and we have loved vacationing here ever since. Check it out, and you'll see why this is such a special place in Lake Tahoe!
The Unique Benefits of this Chalet
We have recently remodeled the chalet to provide a more pleasant accommodation and amenities for your enjoyment. These include a new 2-car garage with wireless remote, new entry with wheelchair accessability, artwork and decorations throughout, new king and queen-size beds and furniture for bedrooms and loft, upstairs master bedroom has a large skylight to view the stars at night or the forest during the day, large flat screen TV in the living room, and a large rock fireplace to get cozy at night. Being adjacent to State Forestry land, you'll be able to take walks or hikes, and even snowshoe throughout the area on established trails.

My son got married in So.Lake Tahoe and he found a home on the HomeAway site for the wedding party, but we needed additional space for more of the family so I found this home just a couple miles away. It was so much easier - and less expensive - than renting hotel rooms in town. The owners were so responsive to my request, the home was in perfect condition and we enjoyed the wedding much more with such a great place to stay. I highly recommend this site and this home when looking for places to stay.

My family has been renting homes in South Lake Tahoe for over 10 years and we just returned from our third visit to this home. It's a wonderful property and we view it as a our home away from home. The neighborhood is in a convenient location, it's quiet, and the neighbors are very friendly. The house is in excellent condition and contains everything needed for a family vacation (cable TV, modern appliances, two showers, comfortable beds, etc). It's very clean, sleeps a good amount of people, and the bunk beds downstairs next to the master bedroom are great for families. The owners were very easy to work with and very responsive to our needs and questions. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking to get away in South Lake Tahoe.

We love this cabin!!! It's very cozy, clean and comfortable and really meets all your needs for a home away from home. Location is great, only minutes away from Heavenly and maybe 10-15 minutes from Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resorts. We've stayed there a couple of times and have been very pleased with the exceptional customer service provided by the owners. Would definitely recommend this place and actually looking forward to staying there again!

My group of friends came up here for a 3 day, 2 night trip, and the location worked out perfectly for those who wanted to go to Heavenly Ski Resort (literally minutes away), Sierra-at-Tahoe (less than 12 minutes drive), or just go for a drive around the Tahoe Lake area. This cabin housed and slept 9 people VERY comfortably with the spacious rooms and general layout of the interior, and the kitchen is supplied with all sort of utensils for most cabin trip cooking needs. The cabin had special instructions for keeping the heater above a certain level, so please follow them to avoid needless troubles. I also want to mention a special thanks to the owners for being so courteous and supportive of our stay at their cabin (and post visit). Thanks again for having us, and we will definitely consider this cabin as a priority next season!
