  Mary's condo is perfect for a beach getaway! The listing description and photos are very accurate. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. The kitchen is stocked with all necessities one might need to do any cooking. There is plenty of furniture, tv's in all bedrooms, cable, wifi and most important it is right on the beach! The pool was great to use also! Mary was great to work with and always prompt in responding to any correspondence. We are looking forward to renting this unit again!! Our favorite dinner was take-out from Uncle Vinny's. Mary has a book full of info including a list of favorite restaurants in the area.

  Mary's condo was perfect for my family of four and my parents (6 total) The kids loved being steps away from the beach (sand! seashells! waves!) and the rest of us loved being able to hear and see the waves from the living room. Fort Fisher Aquarium and the Civil War Museum are only 10-15 minutes away (and right next to each, so you could do them both in a day), and the ferry over to Southport is fun too. We enjoyed feeding the birds from the ferry -- they take food right out of your hands! Mary was very helpful, quick to respond to emails, and didn't seem bothered at all when I had to call her in the late evening. We really appreciated her hospitality and professionalism. Oh, and I did a lot of research, and this is really the best bang for your buck!

  I would certainly recommend this condo to any one - Mary, the owner, was terrific - even loaning us queen sheets since we don't have that sized bed. The unit was clean and unbelievably equiped with everything you could imagine needing. We had not stayed in a condo or house in 15 years so I brought everything including dish soap and paper towels. However we could have left it all at home because Mary had thought of it all - we could have come with only our luggage ! The only disadvantage was the stairs to the 2nd floor but the view made the climb worth it. We will definitely consider staying there next summer.

  We had such a great time at this property! It was more than adequately furnished and equipped, and the location is unbeatable! The unit was super clean and ready for our arrival. We enjoyed MANY local restaurants and bars. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it was fully stocked and ready to go for anyone wanting to make a meal! The photos and description are right on....the reality is even better! Mary was very easy to work with and very responsive to questions, etc.. Be sure to take the ferry over for a day in Southport and visit the Christmas Store! We definitely want to come back. Our only issue was the smell of the water, but that is just part of the area. Hilton Head has the same problem! This place is an unbelievable value for the money. Oceanfront....sigh....

  The unit was right on the water with great views. The rooms were good size, but the unit is old and in need of serious upgrades. Looks like the owner does not want to invest too much in the property. Was provided only 2 rolls of TP for 4 people for days, and no paper towels. I would not recommend this unit. Carolina Beach itself is average. The water was clean and sand was soft, but there looks like a lot of erosion. The boardwalk is a dive. Young kids will enjoy the rides. Will probably return to Wrightsville Beach next summer.

  Owner response: I am sorry to hear this renter was disappointed. He rented for 4 days, the weather was not great.I continually update the condo unit. I do several projects per year.The renter was upset that someone had taken off the decorations on the wicker mirror & the glue showed. He emailed me pictures. I will be replacing it at the end of the renter season. As for paper products, they are not provided, other than a roll of toilet paper to begin the stay. I will be leaving extra rolls in the future. I provided him with extra fully reclinable beach chairs. The prices at Wrightsville Beach are double & triple the cost of my rental unit. Mary

  It was my family's first trip to Carolina Beach, and it was as my kids say the best vacation they ever had. location of condo was perfect. Super Clean. plenty of room. We plan on returning to this condo next year, The beach is so close. Mary the owner was a pleasure to work with.

  This condo is even better then pictured. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves is fabulous. Being on the second floor makes for unobstructed views. Short walk to the beach and then miles of beach to walk. The porch is a perfect shady place to hang out when you have had enough beach time. Conveniently located to restaurants and grocery store. Barbara, the owner, was very available for questions. Nice books of suggestions of things to do. The pool was having some repairs and she arranged for us to use the pool at another condo complex. We were only two people but this place is plenty big enough for more. The kitchen has everything you would ever need which made eating in a good option. It's quiet and a great place to relax.

  We had a wonderful time. All information listed were accurate. The condo has a great location, beautiful ocean view and is well equipped and maintained. Especially the kitchen has everything and more than is needed including the cleaning supplies and basic spices. Lots of storage space to unpack and to feel like at home. The owner is very attentive and responsive to provide the guests with a great comfort. We forgot to bring the hair dryer and 30 min later the dryer was provided to our condo. Every question I had prior to arrival was answered very fast by email. We definitely will rent this condo again when vacationing in Carolina Beach. Thank you!!!!!!!

  We really enjoyed the deck; large enough to enjoy meals for 4, a great shady spot to get a break from the afternoon sun and very pleasant in the evenings to enjoy the ocean view. The beach was even closer than I expected based on the pictures (and I thought it looked pretty close). The unit was clean and very well kept, and we had everything we needed for a great week. Thanks!
