IMMACULATE well furnished & well maintained 2nd floor ocean front condo. This unit is built on the left side of the condo, sort of a bump out unit, at A PLACE AT THE BEACH. It has a direct ocean view from the master bedroom & deck.The deck is connected to living room, as well as master bedroom. The living room also offers a good view of the ocean. Beach is just steps away. Comes with a fully equipped kitchen, free WIFI , expanded cable TV & A LARGE BEAUTIFUL POOL. We purchased NEW TWIN BEDS & SEALY mattresses April 2012 for the 2nd bedroom.New high quality SEALY MATTRESS purchased 2011 in master.. Both bedrooms offer very comfortable sleeping. There are 3 flat screen TVs with DVD players & an assortment of DVDs & cable in all 3 tvs. NEWLY UPDATED porch furniture,table & 4 chairs & 1 adarondak chair.New living room chairs.
BEACH TOYS & 4 BEACH CHAIRS & UMBRELLA PROVIDED. EASY PARKING.
THIS IS A GREAT FAMILY FRIENDLY vacation location.
There is a wide beach expanse ensuring plenty of room even at high tide.The beach walkway is only steps away from the unit.There is an enclosed outdoor shower for residents just as you walk off the beach & into the condo. THERE IS AN OUT DOOR GRILL & picnic table for residents. The fishing boats & cruise boats are nearby along with the board walk & good restaurants. There is also a fresh fish market near the fishing boats. There is a good view of the harbor from the deck.
One ASSIGNED parking spot. A second spot is on 1st come 1st served basis. .The North End Fishing Pier is within easy walking distance. It is an 8 minute drive to Fort Fisher, the museum & the aquarium. The Ferry to Historic Southport is about 10 minutes In addition to history, Southport offers great eating & antiquing. Historic downtown Wilmington is about a 15 minutes drive. There are horse drawn & walking tours & restaurants ,antiquing & shopping. Free fireworks on the island every Thursday night in the summer.
The flat screen TV's & sleeper sofa are recent purchases. .
Kayaks, bike & golf cart rentals available on the island .

Very clean and well appointed. It had everything we needed for a great stay. The reserved parking spot was an added bonus. Mary was very responsive to our questions and the payment process. Overall, the location was close enough to everything, yet away from it all, at the same time. The beach is a short walk down the public access, located right next to the property. We really enjoyed ourselves at this lovely ocean front condo. The condo is exceptionally well kept - very clean with all the amenities - beach chairs, beach toys, wi-fi, and a well- stocked kitchen. What a great deal - we felt like we were so lucky to find such a nice place for the price. Most of all, Mary is a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be be back here again. Make sure to read the book in the kitchen and take her recommendations on restaurants!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Wonderful place to stay!!!!! The Condo was "awesome" according to my 6 year old. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire property. The condo was clean and well kept. It had everything we needed. The kitchen was stocked as well as our home......wow! We couldn't believe how QUIET the stay was. I was leary that there would be noise from neighboring condos. We honestly never heard any noise except an occasional person walking by. At one point, we spoke with another vacating family and we joked that the walls must be sound proof. I have to say the balcony was our most favorite spot! Beautiful!!! We had many meals there and many times we just sat and enjoyed the peace. The beach is literally only about 100 steps from the door of the condo. I only know this because my son wanted us to count. Plenty of sand and beach unlike some other places that seem to no beach at high tide. The pool was great! Lots of room to sit & relax. The pool was very clean and it ranges from 3ft-to at least 8 ft. There is shade for those that do not like the sun. Mary was wonderful! Great to work with and she was prompt to return calls and to help with any questions. The recommendations of places to visit and things to do were perfect for our family!!! She has even provided a book inside the condo with local places to visit and menus. The only thing less than perfect was only 2 washers in the laundry room downstairs and people tended to leave their clothes in them for some time after washing. Not really a big deal for me because as a Mom I am used to waiting. Take plenty of quarters. This was a much needed vacation for our family and I am thankful that Mary was so kind as to accommodate us in every way!!! We would hesitate to return again and again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family of four stayed a week at the condo. It was perfect for us. Great price for a comfortable stay. The condo is well maintained, and the condo complex is as well. My favorite part was the view of the ocean from the master bed. One thing the pictures don't show is that there is direct access to the deck from the master bedroom. A plus. TV's in all rooms. A mix of books and videos, and beach equipment. No washer and dryer in the unit, but there are some within easy access one floor down (bring quarters). We loved the close access to the beach. Although public parking is right off the deck, so there are people coming and going, but not a big deal. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and seeks to make sure your stay is enjoyable. I came to trust her recommendations on places to visit and places to eat!! I recommend this unit and hope to stay our next visit to the beach!!!Recommended for: Families with young children.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We enjoy shelling & watching the shrimp boats & dolphins swim by. If we can tear ourselves from the beach, we love to take the ferry to SOUTHPORT & feed the seagulls on the way. We wander through the town read about the sea captains & see where they lived;then we meander through the OLD cemetery across the street from the old prison, which is a must tour & we have a great lunch before we return .
We also love to go to the aquarium, a short easy drive away. .
