  Must say a few words about Nah Yaxche - we stayed 6 days with our friends (2 couples). We had such a great time! The property is just as shown in the pictures for a perfect stay and the kitchen has everything you would need to cook, blend etc. for a great stay; all you need is food. And they provided the basics to get you started which was great. If you don’t want to cook you should have Flor cook for you – really good. The snorkeling in Soliman Bay is GREAT, although you have to kayak out a bit over the turtle grass - It’s an easy kayak trip. OH, did i say it had Great snorkeling!! House is great, easy to book, great experience.

  We spend a couple of weeks at Nah Yaxche with our four-year-old son and his grandparents. We had tried an all-inclusive previously (in Costa Rica), which we didn't really care for, and so wanted to try something different. Nah Yaxche was the ideal set up, with the grandparents in the nice cottage/bedroom steps away. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the house was clean and well-maintained. Obdulio and Flor were gracious and helpful; our one regret is that we ran out of time to ask Flor to prepare a meal. Next time! We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the surf every morning, and then taking our coffee/smoothies out onto the beach to start the day in a relaxing manner. Some days we spent entirely on 'our' beach, puttering and reading and building sandcastles, enjoying the shallow water and gentle waves. Other days we went to the beach in Tulum for bigger waves. We did some trips close by and further afield: Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve, the ruins at Tulum and Muyil, Chichen Itza, Valladolid (charming town). My father and husband did a couple of birding trips, too; the one to Rio Lagartos to see the flamingos was a big hit. I'd definitely recommend this property. Booking was easy, and even a slight wrinkle in our plans was dealt with quickly and professionally by David. If you book...enjoy!

  Nah yaxche is a totally comfortable and relaxing place. Perfect for two couples to have plenty of privacy and luxury. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped, and stores in Tulum made shopping for food a pleasant adventure. Flor and Obdulio took great care of us; we had Flor make us one of her memorable (and large) meals. Trips to Tulum and Coba and the bio preserve south of Tulum were great, but we were always anxious to return to our beach paradise. We will try hard to figure out how to return.

  Just spent an absolutely idyllic 5 days at Nah Yaxche with my husband, our 2.5 year old son and my brother. Can't recommend the place highly enough for a group of this size. It's a perfect beach for a little kid: the water is warm and clear, the waves are gentle and the sand is clean and fun to play in. We were obviously not the only ones who thought so; we were surrounded by families with young kids. This is a quiet area, so if that's your speed, it should work for you. Our son was out playing on the beach every morning, while one of us sat in the sand with him the other ones lay in the hammock and read. Obdulio and Flor took great care of the place and us. Flor cooked us a couple of delicious meals (try her mole!). When a watermelon we bought turned out to be overripe, she made agua fresca for us! Drinkable water is supplied, there are towels, kayaks, everything you need. (You will need a car, though, this location is not convenient by van or taxi.) Our son just loved his first kayak ride! It's also very well located for dining out in Tulum and sightseeing. A very special place!

  Nah Yaxche is a well maintained and nicely landscaped property on an absolutely gorgeous bay. The beach is at your doorstep and is beautiful fine, white sand. The second bedroom and bath is in a separate building (literally two steps away) and the layout is perfect for two couples or for families with older children. The bay's barrier reef is within easy reach by kayak for excellent snorkeling. The bay is lacking big hotels and condos, so stay in Cancun if you want the party scene. But it's hard to imagine a nicer spot if you prefer a more tranquil, natural setting. Tulum is great for an evening out, and if you want more action Tulum beach offers a wide variety of beach front restaurants, bars and activities. Nah Yaxche is about 15 minutes by car from the town of Tulum, and you will need a vehicle for grocery shopping and to take advantage of all that the area has to offer. The Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba (45 min) are impressive. Highly recommended!

  This was our first stay in Mexico and we got lucky with our rental and location. Nah Yaxche turned out to be perfect for my wife and I. We were looking for a guiet, secluded location to just relax. It was so peaceful there. The pictures are exactly how the area is...beautiful. We had everything we needed to just relax on the Carribean. Soliman Bay is very secluded and calm. We went snorkeling off the coral reef directly out from our beach house by canoe. We had our very own private beach, and the caretaker kept it clean every morning. I loved just sitting under the Palapa with a drink and a book, watching the waves lap up on the beach, stingrays and manta rays calmly floating in the bay, birds diving for fish, and the crabs wandering the beach, hiding from the beach walkers, with their little eyes poking out of the sand. Oh, and the sunrise is incredible. The property was very clean and well kept. Obdulio and Flor took very good care of us and the property. It was nice knowing they were on site behind our lodge if we needed them. Flor cooked us her personal dinner, not once but twice! Plan on an authentic mexican feast. One thing I noticed was very few bugs and only an occasional mosquito. We stayed in the main house which has everything we needed for the two of us. Some friends of ours stopped by for a couple days and stayed in the adjacent casita. It was like a nice hotel room for them, they were impressed compared to their hotel in Cancun. This was our first rental on VRBO, and we were skeptical. But the owner was extremely helpful and we had absolutely no problems with payments or his assistance. Very trustworthy owner. Although our stay was secluded and private, we could easily find our way in to Tulum for any amenities we wanted. The town is nice and quaint. Though it has it's touristy shops, it is nothing like Cancun. Very laid back. We had access to mayan ruins and beautiful ocean beaches, eco waterparks, and plenty of great restaurants within 10 or 15 miles from our lodge. We were so set, that we cancelled our last five days in Belize and stayed in Tulum. We plan to go again to this same property and would highly recommend it to anyone. Sounds sappy, but it's true. We truly loved the place.
