Spend a week with your loved ones on your own private stretch of Caribbean sand! Open the patio doors to our beautiful house and you are literally standing on a secluded Caribbean beach. Your children will be able to play in the sand and calm water, marveling at hermit crabs and pelicans. As the sun sets and the only sounds are the waves and birds, you will be glad to share this memory with your family or friends.
Our property, Nah Yaxche, is located in Bahia Soliman, a private beachfront community 10 minutes north of Tulum pueblo. The Great Maya Barrier Reef breaks the waves in the turquoise water 200-300 yards from the beach. Take a kayak out a mere 30 yards into the bay and jump in for a private snorkling experience in calm shallow water. In the evening, maybe a margarita, the sound of waves and the sunset? Or if you have children, they will love taking the short drive into Tulum to shop for Mayan arts and crafts or dine on pizza or tacos.
Having lived in the Caribbean, we can assure you,it is not possible to have a more private and intimate Caribbean beach vacation than you will have at Nah Yaxche. The main house holds the master bedroom and bath and full kitchen. Ten feet away, the private casita contains the second bedroom (with a double bed) and bath. Both structures have traditional palapas (palm-frond thatched roofs).
The house is cared for by our caretaker, Obdulio who lives on the property. 6-day housekeeping is included the price of a rental. Bahia Soliman is a safe and secure private community with 24 hour private security.

Why the Owner Chose Tulum
Bahia Soliman is unique in the world. A perfectly shaped, calm half-moon bay, overflowing with wild-life and surrounded by homes, not hotels. Both the nature and the community are wonderfully relaxing and private. The first time we came, we knew we wanted to own a piece of this paradise forever. It took a few years, but we finally did purchase the place... and we go down to spend time there ourselves, every chance we get for as long as possible.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There simply is not such thing as a more private Caribbean vacation on a more beautiful beach. The ease of snorkling incredible. If you have never had a Caribbean beach in your backyard, we really encourage you to give it a try.

Just spent an absolutely idyllic 5 days at Nah Yaxche with my husband, our 2.5 year old son and my brother. Can't recommend the place highly enough for a group of this size. It's a perfect beach for a little kid: the water is warm and clear, the waves are gentle and the sand is clean and fun to play in. We were obviously not the only ones who thought so; we were surrounded by families with young kids. This is a quiet area, so if that's your speed, it should work for you. Our son was out playing on the beach every morning, while one of us sat in the sand with him the other ones lay in the hammock and read. Obdulio and Flor took great care of the place and us. Flor cooked us a couple of delicious meals (try her mole!). When a watermelon we bought turned out to be overripe, she made agua fresca for us! Drinkable water is supplied, there are towels, kayaks, everything you need. (You will need a car, though, this location is not convenient by van or taxi.) Our son just loved his first kayak ride! It's also very well located for dining out in Tulum and sightseeing. A very special place!

Nah Yaxche is a well maintained and nicely landscaped property on an absolutely gorgeous bay. The beach is at your doorstep and is beautiful fine, white sand. The second bedroom and bath is in a separate building (literally two steps away) and the layout is perfect for two couples or for families with older children. The bay's barrier reef is within easy reach by kayak for excellent snorkeling. The bay is lacking big hotels and condos, so stay in Cancun if you want the party scene. But it's hard to imagine a nicer spot if you prefer a more tranquil, natural setting. Tulum is great for an evening out, and if you want more action Tulum beach offers a wide variety of beach front restaurants, bars and activities. Nah Yaxche is about 15 minutes by car from the town of Tulum, and you will need a vehicle for grocery shopping and to take advantage of all that the area has to offer. The Mayan ruins at Tulum and Coba (45 min) are impressive. Highly recommended!

This was our first stay in Mexico and we got lucky with our rental and location. Nah Yaxche turned out to be perfect for my wife and I. We were looking for a guiet, secluded location to just relax. It was so peaceful there. The pictures are exactly how the area is...beautiful. We had everything we needed to just relax on the Carribean. Soliman Bay is very secluded and calm. We went snorkeling off the coral reef directly out from our beach house by canoe. We had our very own private beach, and the caretaker kept it clean every morning. I loved just sitting under the Palapa with a drink and a book, watching the waves lap up on the beach, stingrays and manta rays calmly floating in the bay, birds diving for fish, and the crabs wandering the beach, hiding from the beach walkers, with their little eyes poking out of the sand. Oh, and the sunrise is incredible. The property was very clean and well kept. Obdulio and Flor took very good care of us and the property. It was nice knowing they were on site behind our lodge if we needed them. Flor cooked us her personal dinner, not once but twice! Plan on an authentic mexican feast. One thing I noticed was very few bugs and only an occasional mosquito. We stayed in the main house which has everything we needed for the two of us. Some friends of ours stopped by for a couple days and stayed in the adjacent casita. It was like a nice hotel room for them, they were impressed compared to their hotel in Cancun. This was our first rental on VRBO, and we were skeptical. But the owner was extremely helpful and we had absolutely no problems with payments or his assistance. Very trustworthy owner. Although our stay was secluded and private, we could easily find our way in to Tulum for any amenities we wanted. The town is nice and quaint. Though it has it's touristy shops, it is nothing like Cancun. Very laid back. We had access to mayan ruins and beautiful ocean beaches, eco waterparks, and plenty of great restaurants within 10 or 15 miles from our lodge. We were so set, that we cancelled our last five days in Belize and stayed in Tulum. We plan to go again to this same property and would highly recommend it to anyone. Sounds sappy, but it's true. We truly loved the place.
