This stretch of beach is one of the most beautiful on the Emerald Coast! Swim in one of two pools located on the property. Located minutes away from wonderful restaurants and shopping. Don't forget the GULFARIUM where the Dolphins perform.
This two bedroom, two bath Condo has all the comforts of home with a view of the gulf. Redecorated in a West Indies theme. Comfortable king-size bed in the master will let you sleep like a baby til you're ready for your day on the Beach. Newly renovated master bath has a large shower and beautiful vanity area. Bedroom #2 has two twins. The second bathroom is a full sized bathroom with tub/shower combo. Start with a morning cup of coffee on the lanai, watching the waves. End your day taking in the SUNSET as you sink your toes in the sand.
El Matador has a Community Center that will hold parties, weddings, card games and more! If walking and swimming aren't enough for you, try the work out room or the tennis court. POOL or BEACH - your choice. That's about the toughest decision you'll have to make when you relax at Okaloosa's most well known Condo Complex. My husband, 2 children and my mother recently visited Fort Walton Beach and stayed at the El Matador. Nancy was wonderful in working with us to schedule our trip and promptly replied to my many questions. We enjoyed our stay more than words can express. From the time we arrived, we immediately felt like we were home. The accommodations were great and provided all of our necessities and then some. The pools were very relaxing and well maintained and the beach was absolutely beautiful. The other guests of the El Matador were friendly and respectful. The location is awesome because it is close to everything. We were near groceries stories for food and snacks and close to many different types of restaurants. We had a great time and plan to visit again next year.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We just came home from our Fort Walton Beach vacation on Aug. 1, 2010 and the beaches of Fort Walton and Destin are still as gorgeous as ever. When you hear about the oil in the Gulf, it is NOT in the Fort Walton and Destin area! Because people are assuming that the area has been affected, tourism is down so there isn't as much traffic congestion, there's no wait in the restaurants, and plenty of room on the beach! This is actually an ideal time to visit the area. When you head to Fort Walton, consider booking this condo. The owner was very helpful and quick with responding to questions. Upon arrival, I was happy to find that the condo was very clean and already had some everyday items there (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc) so that we were able to start relaxing right away! When it was time to get some grocery items, there's a store just about a quarter mile down the road. Beautiful, convenient, priced right - and an owner who is excellent with communication. Why not book it?

We had a wonderful vacation. The beaches and the water were beautiful! The oil has had no effect on this area thankfully! The condo was very nice and had everything we needed! The walk to the beach was a little longer than we expected though, having 3 small kids and lots of beach toys it would have been nice to be a little bit closer, but I can't really complain because the price was so great. We definitely felt like it was a great value!

This is just a lovely condo, very comfortable and homey. We enjoyed our stay very much. Nancy is just wonderful to deal with. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a very nice and very reasonable vacation place.

Just loved the condo. Roomy and comfortable. We liked the gated community and the beach there is great for long walks and dolphin sightings. Thanks so much. We'll be back.
