This is the largest luxury vacation rental home in the historical district in Santa Fe. Casa Bonita is over 3200 square feet and is located on Palace Ave. a 10 minute walk to the famous Plaza and Canyon Road. We just completed a $700,000 remodel on Casa Bonita and it is beautiful! Bonita grew up in this house and knows Santa Fe. Flexible rates enable small or large groups to stay in this perfect location. Comfortably accommodating up to 15 people, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a private hot tub in the green house, this vacation rental house makes Santa Fe the perfect vacation spot!
With tons of things to do like: you can stroll to museums, galleries, restaurants, go shopping, or the grocery store. Ski 1/2 hour drive up the mountain, or go sledding in the park. Come home and relax in the big bubbling hot tub with foot massage jets before you gather for drinks on the front portal. You can enjoy a fabulous dinner at one of Santa Fe's amazing restaurants or use our gas grill or BBQ for your own homestyle meals.
Built in the 1950's and totally remodeled in 2008, Casa Bonita is beautifully furnished in Southwest Style, plush sofas and firm beds. Original art by New Mexico artists, richly colored rugs brighten the oak floors throughout. Hand plastered tinted walls and a nice big fireplace add ambiance. The great room has 12 foot ceilings with large beams and Corbals that open to a large granite kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove,cooking utensils,new appliances and spices. We have a crock pot, large pots and pans and an assortment of baking dishes. Fine robes will give you a luxurious experience. There are flower gardens in the front and back yards too.
The house is ready to entertain you with all that you need, including stereo system, 3 large flat screen cable TV's, music CDs, and a video collection. Free high speed cable modem with wireless router. Laundry room with detergent, iron and ironing board.
The Portal, the big covered front porch has an outside dining and sitting area. Games and puzzles are supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful multi color granite countertops, cooking utensils, new appliances, china and flatware for 12. Tablecloths, napkins, place mats, and kitchen towels are all provided.
Off-street parking for 4 cars on-site, more on EL Alamo Ave. next to Casa Bonita.

ADDITIONAL RENTAL INFORMATION:
* Small or large groups welcome. Rates cover up to 8 people. $30/person/night above 8
* Children are welcome.
* 3 night minimum late fall and winter, except Holidays.
* 5 night minimum spring, summer and early fall.
* 7 night minimum over Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.
* 7th night is FREE for weekly bookings, except holiday weeks.
* Shorter bookings accepted for infill year-round, and also within 1 month of arrival.
* Last minute DISCOUNTS for bookings within two weeks of arrival.
* $200 Exit Clean for 6 or fewer, $300 for large groups of 7 or more. Weekly Cleaning at $200-$300 required for multi-week stays. More frequent Maid Service is available by prior arrangement.
* $1000 Deposit, refundable if no damage or excessive cleaning fees.
*Tax according to current law. This a licensed short term rental home. Taxes are currently included in the price.
* Reservation deposit of 1/2 rent is due within one week of verbal reservation, paid by check/Mastercard/Visa. Balance due 60 days prior to arrival.
* Cancellation policy: Confirmed reservations are considered binding. We will issue a refund if we are able to rebook the dates, less a $50 administration fee.
* Sorry, Pets NOT allowed. Guests with allergies rely on this.
* No Smoking inside; smokers may use the covered front porch.

- There are over two hundred galleries, over 30 restaurants, and many museums a short walk from Casa Bonita. In the summer you can go mountain biking and hiking in the nearby Aspen and Ponderosa covered mountains. In the winter you can drive 20 minutes to Santa Fe Ski Basin for Downhill, Snow Boarding or Cross Country Skiing. After skiing you can stop at the famous 10,000 Waves Spa for a private Jacuzzi and massage. Taos Ski Basin is an hour north of Santa Fe. We love to take the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad from Chama up into the Rockies and have lunch at Osier. This is an old classic steam train from the mining and logging days and it runs all summer long. We also recommend the Balloon Fiesta in the Fall. Another great summer day trip is to Bandelier National Monument Cliff Dwelling site. It is approximately 45 minutes from Santa Fe. We love walking to the local restaurants and galleries. You are a 8 minute walk to The Compound Restaurant and another 5 minutes to El Farol Restaurant on Canyon Road. If you walk down Palace Ave. you go right into the famous Plaza where the Native Americans are selling their jewelry and hand crafted items. There are numerous restaurants in the famous Plaza area including The Compound, The Shed, Plaza Cafe, Sena Cafe and others.
The Compound restaurant has great food and is high end dining. It is a 10 minute walk from Casa Bonita.

Comments: We stayed at the Sea Star in November of 2007 and had our wedding there during our stay. The villa was everything we thought it would be and much much more! The services and accommodations made our whole family's vacation and our special day more memorable than we could have ever imagined. We will definitely be back!
