Our Vacation rental cottage is permitted by the county of Maui for short term rentals. It is located on the ocean side of the Hana Highway close to several beaches, magnificant waterfalls, shopping, fine dining etc. in the North Shore and Upcountry towns of Haiku, Paia and Makawao...just fifteen scenic miles from the Kahului Int. airport on the road to Hana.
It is located in the "Real Hawaii" on three oragnic acres away from the high rises and condos. A peaceful Eco-friendly Retreat where you can see whales jumping in the ocean while visiting Maui in the winter from Alaska. All you hear is chirping birds,swaying palm trees and pounding waves. No use of insectisides, harsh chemicals or artificial scents.
There is a 40 ft. non clorinated swimming pool purified by salt water on the property for your enjoyment. There are several walking, hiking and biking trails all around the property. World famous windsurfng and kite surfing beaches are five minutes away.
The home away from home consists of 750 sq. ft..open on all sides to fabulous ocean and tropical veiws, full kitchen, bath with tub/shower,a king bed in one bedroom and a queen bed in the second bedroom. There is a full size futon couch in the living, free high speed wireless internet access, cable tv, washer/dryer etc.Private parking for one car right next to the cottage.
A world famous artist who stayed with us recently wrote this back to us..... "For six days before Chritmas, we woke up in the puffy clouds and softly colored ocean waves in the comfort of this detached little house. Painted by the owner on the walls of this enchanting cottage are pastel spirals, waves and seafoam with blue and yellow reef fishes rocking just below the surface. You are enveloped in an ocean wave. There are two comfortable bedrooms and a large living-dining kitchen area with fresh cross ventilation and seaward veiws from multiple windows. Some times there was a warm, gentle rain and the gentle clatter of bamboo stems; for all six nights the moon was overhead amist racing clouds. It was quiet and totally private. Bring your books and your Hawaiin music CDs because you will be so comfortable that you will not run out 'go somewhere'. We made breafast there every day and could not bring ourselves to leave the place until 10:30 or 11:00 in the morning. We made dinner there too, instead of eating out every night. Highly recommended for those who want the true Maui mood of peace amid nature."
