"Wheeler Block Penthouse" Located downtown in the world's most famous ski town, just two blocks from the gondola, and in the heart of Aspen, the 1891 turn-of-the century building adds old world French country charm to one of the most unique plush vacations of your life.
Richly decorated in Ralph Lauren style, European antique elegance, the Penthouse offers two suites, each with a king bed and private bath. It is so spacious is measures nearly 2,000 sq.ft. and is perfect for entertaining as many as 30 people. The Penthouse features a roof top terrace complete with gas grill, Jacuzzi and 360° panoramic view of the mountains and town.
Amenities include: HD TV, hi-speed internet, Wi-Fi, (2) phone lines, fax machine, washer, dryer, full kitchen equipped with Vulcan gas range, grill and Williams Sonoma copper cookware. Weekly rentals, Saturday to Saturday preferred.

Hello and thank you for visiting my property profile. My name is Barry Cox and I invite you to be my guest. I have provided all the comforts and then some, for you to make yourself at home during your stay.
I am originally from Springfield, Missouri. I have lived in Manhattan Beach, CA., Telluride, CO. and now am a permanent resident of Aspen, CO. My need to be outdoors and thirst for adventure has me traveling most of the time now. I fly a Piper Malibu as my main mode of transportation logging over 7,500 hours. I also enjoy skiing, road/dirt biking, hiking, sailing and scuba diving.
Why the Owner Chose Aspen
I was drawn to Aspen back in 1968 while vacationing in college then returned on my honeymoon in 1969. I especially liked the people. Of course, everyone expects the winters to be fantastic and they are for skiing and snowmobiling, but the summers are equally as good. I make the most of them road/dirt biking, mountain biking, paragliding, hiking, rollerblading, tennis and fly-fishing. Aspen is a perfect all year around destination.
The Unique Benefits of this Penthouse
There is great dining and entertainment just step outside the front door. I particularly enjoy Jimmy’s an American Restaurant & Bar, Cache Cache, Campo de Fiori for Italian, Pinons for fine dining, Krabloonik for game, and the Pine Creek Cookhouse is perfect for a sleigh ride or cross country skiing through the snow covered forest. The Penthouse is located in downtown Aspen within walking distance to 10-15 restaurants. The gondola to Aspen Mountain is 2 blocks away. Shuttle stop access to Snowmass and Aspen Highlands is around the corner by McDonald’s.
