Why the Owner Chose Nice
Until recently her mother lived in Nice, and Marie-France and Gary often travelled to Nice for visits. They found their own place in Nice more than 10 years ago. When they are not in Nice, they are thinking and dreaming about being there.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
The smells, the sounds, the tastes, the light and colour, all the sensations of Vieux-Nice are just outside the door. A short colourful walk down the pedestrian streets to the Marché Saleya and the beach. On the way back, stop at the wine shop, the baker, and the butcher and then prepare your lunch or dinner fresh in the full kitchen. Walk to the art galleries or take the tram to visit the while city, or the buses to the hillside villages or sand beaches of Villefranche, Monaco, Cannes, St. Tropez.

An extremely conveniently located apartment in Viex Nice

We stayed in this studio for 8 days in late December. It is located near the fish market in Place St. Francois. The studio is extremely well equipped and comfortable, and the location is incredibly convenient. EVERTHING you need is right outside, including cafes, restaurants, butchers, charcuterie, fromagerie, boulangeries and patisseries, creperie, poissonerie, etc. A supermarket (Monoprix) is 5 minutes' walk away. We especially appreciated the very well equipped kitchen. Cooking was such a breeze that we ate in almost every night. Be sure to try Barale (7 rue Ste Reparate) for their freshly made gnocchi and ravioli to be cooked at home. We used the Segurane bus stop frequently for bus #100, 7, 81, which was only a few minutes walk away. The tram stop is only 2 minutes away, but not really necessary, since Nice is very walkable. The listing photos are accurate, the apartment was clean and well-maintained, and the owners were very helpful in answering my questions before and after we got to Nice. We genuinely enjoyed staying in this apartment.

This Place Has It All

We stayed in the apartment for three weeks this summer (July/August). It was as fabulous as indicated in the previous reviews. The owners are some of the nicest people you'll find, they'll make your stay completely enjoyable. If you're looking cozy and quaint, look no further, when the sun is in the sky the apartment is lit by a wonderful golden light, this place has character. The intoxicating sounds and aromas of Nice, can be enjoyed by simply lounging out of either of the two windows that overlook the rue Pairoliere, this should be done while sipping a cup of coffee of course. The location is absolutely ideal, just steps out the front door you'll find a coffee shop, restaurants, a pharmacy, bakeries, a fish market, a cheese shop, a convenience store, and I could go on, and on. A few block away you'll find the Promenade Des Anglais, Place Garibaldi, and Place Massena. And, if you want to go further a field, transit is just a couple blocks away, and very inexpensive. Nice is heaven for those who enjoy eating, walking, eating, wine, eating, beaches, and oh ya, did I mention food?! Once you're in Nice, the rest of your trip does not need to be expensive, there are many restaurants, bakeries, and pastry shops that offer inexpensive, delicious fare. But, if you want to break the bank, well, there are plenty of opportunities to indulge in. Enjoy!

This apartment was great for my wife and I. It is in a perfect location for exploring old town Nice, close to the sea, and not too far to walk the shopping and pedestrian area around Avenue Jean Medecin. The alley just outside the door constantly changes its look as the various shops open and close throughout the day. Grocery store (Monoprix) is just up the alley. We ate in several times thanks to the fully equipped kitchen. Bed was very comfortable. Bus station and tram are just a block away. Would not recommend for someone who might have trouble climbing narrow, steep stairs. Highly recommend for anyone else.
Owner response:Everything in this review is true, even the comment about the stairs. When we open the door from the street, passing tourists gawk and snap photos of the stairway. But there are only 12 steps up to the apartment door. Good exercise.

Amazing location in the old town brings sightseeing, beach and cafe's/bars within 5 minutes walk. Clean, tidy and comfortable. The studio has all you might need during the vacation and more. We stayed here 2 years ago and had a lovely time. The apartment is quaint, clean and very central. Not only were the owners helpful and hospitable, but the neighbours truly were a Godsend when we could not work the lights! I highly recommend this rental property to anyone wishing to visit Nice.

A great studio in old Nice, convenient to the markets, the waterfront and much of downtown Nice. The immediate area of narrow, winding streets is full of restaurants, bakeries, food shops and other retail stores. A short and convenient walk takes you to the waterfront and the beaches of Nice. But most important is the positive and helpful style of the owners, who promptly responded to our questions and made us feel welcome in their place. We had a great three days and will certainly book the studio again on our next visit to Nice. Ray & Julie

This is a marvellous studio from which to enjoy all the sights, sounds and experiences of Vieux Nice - the Old Town. It is ideally located, atmospheric, comfortable and has all the comforts and requirements you need of a home from home. We were looked after so well by the owners, who are so very caring and eager that you enjoy your stay in their second home... We can now only day-dream until we are able to return to Nice once again. Thank you for your kindness and care - you have a beautiful and bijou home in Vieux Nice - Thank you for letting us share it for a time!
