If you desire a place of serenity, void of tourists, fast food establishments, noise, lights, pollution, commercialism of the city - Treehouse on the Rio Grande truly is a secluded, peaceful, magical piece of heaven on earth! I'm pretty sure that Susan and Chuck are Angels, maybe fairies, that created this magical retreat. Their most genuine and generous hospitality envelopes you. My daughter and I had to question, more than once - Is this REAL??!! Every detail, from the "organic soaps/shampoos/fresh plush shower robes and towels - to the small flashlights, mindfully placed in every building, the treehouse itself, furnished with unique custom made furniture and art. Our time spent here was the closest thing to heaven I've ever experienced. I was rejuvenated, physically and mentally after spending two days and nights in this magical corner of the world. Don't miss an opportunity to experience and renew yourself at the Treehouse on the Rio Grande. I guarantee - you will NOT be dissappointed!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This place is in a prime location if you are visiting from out of state and if you are in state-the perfect getaway for renewal! The photos do not capture the healing vibrations that you will experience being on the property. The flow of the Rio Grande and breeze through the leaves lull one to sleep so peacefully! A MUST stay for anyone young at heart! Joyful MarlaRecommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I've stayed at the Tree House several times now. My last stay was in the early spring and it was just beautiful. I can say from personal experience that there is something beautiful to experience at all times of the year. This is a very special place. It's truelly like no other and I've stayed in a lot of places! Chuck & Susan's place is so unique, filled with love at every turn and offers the most tranquil setting you'll find. Can't wait to get back there!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The Tree house is set in an ideal location alongside the Rio Grande. The area contains not only the tree house but a separate, very quaint stand-alone stone bathroom with shower, bath and toilet and an all inclusive kitchen. There is great lighting between buildings, so there is no reason to worry about walking at night. This means you can do a full shop at the store approx 20 minutes down the road and then spend your time relaxing in the numerous hammocks and relaxed seating scattered along the river’s edge. The area is incredibly quiet with noise only broken by the occasional chat with the owners who are only more than happy to provide recommendations and are incredibly knowledgeable on all things New Mexico. We took advantage of their expertise to find the best restaurants and hiking trails proving it was worth the chat. If you are using the location to explore Taos the travel time is approx 40 minutes, but there are spectacular views along the way. I would definitely recommend the Tree house for travellers looking for a relaxed experience and I know we certainly came away having felt like we experienced the real New Mexico.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I stayed at the Tree House for the 4th time on Oct the 7th for 3 nights. It's like staying at a luxury Day Spa every day! The owners, Chuck & Susan, are so gracious. They tend to any and every detail and you don't even know they are there! There are elements all around of the art and the love they have infused in this beautiful place, right down to the soft down pillows and comforter you can wrap up in while looking out on the stars and listening to the Rio Grande at night. Every time I leave this beautiful place, I am filled with a sense of yearning until I can return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This was an amazing stay at an awesome location - our only complaint was that our time there went so quickly! The treehouse is very comfortable for two, and the sounds of the river in the evenings provided a relaxing chorus to fall asleep to. The cookhouse and bathhouse below were well cared for, clean, and perfect for everything we needed for our stay. The owner was respectful of our privacy, while still available if we needed anything. Its a beautiful location on the river and a wonderful place to relax - we'll be visiting again for sure!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed at the tree house for 2 nights and could not have been happier. Everything about it exceeded our expectations. It was peaceful, romantic, fun and very unique. The treehouse, bath house and kitchen were spotless and beautifully furnished. Susan and Chuck were great hosts and went out of their way to ensure everything was "just right". Hopefully we'll get to stay longer next time.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.
