  So, we rented this place as we were making our move down to Norfolk Virginia as a family. We were really disappointed to find that it was not in Annapolis at all but in a very uncomfortable neighborhood. We arrived and the kitchen was a mess. There was actually food particles and what looked like ketchup of syrup on the kitchen counter. The bedding was really poor. There were no sheets on the bed and the sheets were in a closet with no fitted options. There was hair all over the duvet cover. I mean this place is a mess. Fine if just the family who owns it wants to use it but to charge us $400+ on the 1st of December in a working class neighborhood, under the impression that we would be in Annapolis. Really shocking. Hands down my worst experience to date using VRBO. The guy who owns it was a nice guy and I do hope he cleans it up a bit.

  This was a very relaxing place to stay. It had all the amenities we could have asked for in a casual, comfortable home. It was quite dog friendly and had a large yard where we could bring them to play. The deck was secluded with a beautiful water view. The owner was very nice and easy to deal with. We had limited time, but would have liked to use the boats provided.

  The property may have a beach at certain times of the year, but it was mostly covered in water while we were there and not attractive for swimming or sunning. A neighbor's loud machine running 24/7 marred outside time. When we attempted to prepare food for ourselves we found crucial basics missing (no toaster?) Ultimately, we decided to take a vacation away from our vacation, and went home early.

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  Owner response: There was a huge storm that week that did cover the beach. The house is wonderful, and we've made sure everything in the kitchen is there for your vacation. It's simply a wonderful house and location. Cheers, Bill

  Sweet, cozy cottage. Great View of the river and watching the ducks and geese meander through the back yard. Great home base when sight seeing the area. Canoe and rowboat were fun on the river. Small comforts of home left by owners. Deck has a fantastic view, great for morning coffee or evening star gazing. Fireworks everywhere presented a fun night.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Our family of 5 and 2 pets stayed in this charming cottage while we were between homes in a move. There was plenty of space for everyone, the kitchen was well equipped and we all really enjoyed the beach and canoes. The owners are very friendly and responsive to your needs. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to my friends.

  I spent the last 3 days in this quiet, spectacular home, breathtaking view, very roomy, had all essentials in the home, easy to get to dc. my family and I really enjoy the location and the house host was very accommodating and pleasant, I would recommend this location to anyone that is looking for tranquil place from all the noise.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Had the most wonderful stay. Spectacular location and really on the water's edge. Pictures are a true indication of what is offered. The cottage is very well appointed and very comfortable. Great to have had use of boats and got offered first class hospitality by owners and neighbours.

  We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Worked well for my family of four and my in-laws. Worked out much better than two hotel rooms. We were in the area a few days prior to taking our son to the Naval Academy for Induction Day.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

  What a great place to stay! You are an easy drive away from DC, Baltimore, Annapolis and the eastern shore, yet you could have a great time without ever leaving the cottage. The cottage was clean, charming and contained everything we needed. The owners were great and the ride on the schooner was a real highlight of a the trip. We would definitely stay here again.
