About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Enjoy a beautiful spacious 5 bedroom 3.5 bath home in a quiet wooded setting overlooking the Magothy River. The home includes two master suites: one on the main floor and one on the second floor. The second floor master suite has a jacuzzi tub and opens onto a second floor deck. Three other large bedrooms are on the second floor with one also opening to the second floor deck. Classic hardwood floors lead to carpeted bedrooms. A stone fireplace graces the living room and dining room which span the whole waterfront side of the house. French doors off the living room and dining room open out to a large screened in porch that is another room onto itself with indoor/outdoor carpeting, ceiling fans, a picnic table and outdoor furniture. With the porch doors open, the breeze off the river can be felt throughout the house. However, there is air conditioning for really hot days. Tastefully decorated with warm bright colors, overstuffed furniture, a dining room table that seats 10, an eat-in kitchen, comfortable rooms and an exceptional layout make this home particularly inviting. There are water views from virtually every room.

We enjoy many returning guests. The house has become a home away from home for those who visit the area frequently.

Enjoy swimming, boating, sailing, kayaking, crabbing, fishing or just enjoying the views. With Annapolis, Baltimore and Washington D.C. all close by, there is so much to see and do.

We were in Annapolis for a funeral and the home was a perfect place for family from Norfolk, Pittsburgh and Orlando to enjoy one another's company in a relaxed atmosphere

We appreciate the owner's accommodation of our last minute reservations. We recommend this for family and friends to enjoy the water views and each other.

Perfect weekend getaway for a group or family

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of seven (all friends from college) stay at this residence for three nights and we could not have been happier with the accommodations. The property is somewhat secluded at the end of long driveway that has two other houses on it. The house has five very spacious bedrooms and total of three and half baths. The kitchen is connected to the family room so that people who are cooking do not feel secluded from others in the next room. There is a huge screened in porch on the back looking out towards the water. Not only does it have some furniture to sit on, but there is a large picnic table which can be used for eating meals as well. The dock is quite long and relatively new. Having access to a fire pit was key to our enjoyment of the property. We sat by the fire pit all three nights. There was ample parking. The house was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Our family of six stayed in this waterfront home as a combination vacation and send off for our daughter who was getting ready to start Plebe Summer at the Naval Academy. It was the perfect home and location for our needs. The home with its five spacious bedrooms and three and a half baths allowed us room to spread out while the central dining / living / family room and porch provided great spaces for family time. The dock and kayaks were a hit with the whole family. The location was private and provided a respite from the crowds of down town Annapolis, but we were only a 12-15 minute easy drive to the Naval Academy and down town. The owners were hospitable, accommodating, and very responsive to our questions and needs. They made us feel welcome. We would love to return here as a home away from home during our daughter's Naval Academy years.

Incredibly accommodating owner and beautiful house!

We had my sister's bachelorette weekend in Annapolis this Memorial Day weekend and had the perfect time, despite a slight hiccup at the outset of the trip. As we were driving to Annapolis, we got a call from Shelly (the owner) saying that a pump in the house had broken and we would not be able to stay in the house that night (it was getting fixed the next morning). I was momentarily in shock--we had been planning this weekend for months and then found out day of that we couldn't stay in the house and would need to find a hotel rooms to fit 7 girls on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. But Shelly was incredibly helpful in making sure we were not stranded for the night. She refunded the cost of the entire stay so we would be able to (more than) pay for hotel rooms, recommended hotels, met us to take our coolers of food so we wouldn't have to lug them around, and she left us a bottle of champagne for when we got to the house on Sunday. She more than made up for the bad luck of the broken pump and we rolled with the change in the plan and had a great time. Many, many thanks to her.

We got to stay in the house for one night, but as soon as we arrived, we were sad that we couldn't spend more time there. It is such a peaceful spot. The house is clean, well maintained, and spacious. We loved hanging out at the dock, on the porch, and at the fire pit.

I highly recommend this house and its owner! Even if something goes wrong, Shelly will make sure you still have a wonderful weekend!
