Our great rates reflect our desire for great guests who appreciate this terrific cottage and it's ENCHANTING spaces!
This European-style cottage with its steeply pitched roof, arched windows, and cedar shake siding, makes an idyllic vacation rental.
The Grand Traverse Lighthouse is just north of the village. Walk to beaches, shops, and restaurants!
This fabulous, new, two-bedroom, two-bath cottage was the inspiration of a very creative builder and has just been lovingly furnished by Living Designs Interiors. Enjoy hand-crafted cabinets and cherry countertops and designer kitchen, gas fireplace, hardwood floors, tiled baths, soaring ceilings, and covered porches for entertaining or cocktails.
Live here for a spell and weave dreams of the future! Come to relax, to rejuvenate!
The Heart of the House: comfortable, designer lounges and original paintings enhance the living room with its white oak floors and vaulted ceiling with stained-glass fan high above. The classic, Adams-style, gas fireplace is easy to "light" for a cozy evening if the night is chilly.
The Kitchen: Ahh! I love this kitchen! So white, so custom, so wonderful! Cherry countertops, white oak floors, and all the amenities: microwave, gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, Kohler porcelain double sink, and special fixtures. Designer dinnerware and tons of styles of wine glasses. We even have a custom nook for the wonderful Leelanau wines!
The dining room compliments the living room with white oak and claw-foot dining table and elegant, comfortable Parsons chairs and Frank Lloyd Wright style stained-glass pendant light.
A delightful bedroom down has a splendid bay window and bench window seat. The tiled bathroom includes a large walk-in shower, pedestal sink, and fun paintings.
The upstairs comprises the master bedroom area including a sitting room and large, tiled, master bath. The master bedroom opens to the living room below from a charming balcony, closed off with French doors, and overlooking the fireplace below.
The large, private yard backs onto pines and stunning sunsets. Our own acreage connects to the cottage property and provides enjoyable sunsets and gentle wildlife. A doe has twins every year - watch them cavort. A fabulous red fox is often spotted sleeping on the road into the acreage. And, watch for the eagles!
Heron Cottage offers a quiet porch filled with wicker and flooded with sun in the afternoon. Always a cool breeze here. The sunsets are fabulous!
