  • A perfect family holiday!

"We had a wonderful time with our family at this perfect rental home! There was lots of space for three couples and a little one. We saw deer, bald eagles, osprey, geese, ducks, loons, and tons of hummingbirds and butterflies! We ate raspberries and cherries from the yard a few times a da and wished the grapes and apricots were ready too! The perfect location...close to Vernon to grab groceries or anything else you need but still far enough to feel 'away from it all'. The cabin had all the comforts of home and the owners were so easy to deal with and I really felt care about their home and the guests who stay :) We will be back next year!"

  • Slice of heaven

"This lovely cottage a few minutes from the heart of Vernon is a treasure. The lush meadows are peaceful and soothing but the pool and tennis courts are a welcome addition if you have kids. There's so much to do here in summer that it's hard to choose. But make sure you build in time just to sit on the deck with a glass of wine and breathe deeply. We will most certainly return."

  • Wonderful home for family with small children

"We had a wonderful time vacationing here with friends. The view from the house was spectacular and everything was exactly as expected. The house was clean, comfortable and even had toys and books for young children (ages 2 - 12). Anita was very responsive and helpful and I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Vernon. It's a lovely city with friendly people, we will definitely go back!"

  • Beautiful, Clean and Well Appointed

"We spent a wonderful, relaxing week in this beautiful home. This vacation rental is the bottom level of a house perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Okanagan. Jack lives on the upper level of the house. There are amazing views, enjoyable from the large private, covered deck, the living room and bedroom. We loved the new Adirondack chairs on the deck. Jack is a friendly, gracious host who is obviously concerned about comfort of his guests as evidenced by the quality furnishings and nice decor. There is an electric fireplace (not shown in his photos) which was nice for taking the chill out of the cool late September evenings. It was evident that a lot of thought went into providing everything you could possibly need, from a good selection of spices to frosted mugs in the freezer, an I Pod docking station and wine cooler fridge. There was even a set of walkie-talkies, great for communicating from the beach to the house. The location was quiet & peaceful, especially so at this time of year. We made good use of the kayaks and life jackets that Jack provides free for your use. The private beach and dock were perfect for fishing and relaxing. there are lots of chairs and loungers at the beach. He has a boat house on the beach that is equipped with all sorts of supplies and even a small fridge. The walk down to the beach is quite steep so make sure you have everything you want with you. There were plenty of different places to sit and enjoy the view, even a small landing with two chairs halfway up to the house. One thing to be noted is the washing machine and dryer are not in apartment, so you need to make arrangements with Jack to use them. Not a big issue for us. Don't hesitate to book this property, you won't be disappointed! Thank-you Jack for everything! We certainly hope to return."

Vernon Travel Tips

The Art of Vacation Is Perfected in Vernon Rentals

On the northern end of the Okanagan Valley, you will find Vernon, Canada. Vernon rentals are perfect for vacationing during the winter, spring, summer, and fall as they are surrounded by golf courses, mountains, orchards, and lakes. For almost a century, Vernon resorts have been highly coveted by vacationers from all over the world. Many people love the old city charm of Vernon as it features historical murals and a laid-back ambience.

Splash away in Vernon Resorts

Okanagan Valley travel is perfect for summer fun in the lakes of the area. Vernon resorts overlook three different lakes which are all perfect for swimming, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and even scuba diving (or snorkeling). In fact, if you truly love the lakes, many Vernon rentals are actually houseboats situated on Okanagan, Kalamalka, and Mabel Lakes. If you do not want to splash around every day, think about hiking, golfing, rock climbing, and winery tours that will keep you dry all day.

Winter Is Great for Okanagan Valley Travel

In the winter, there is plenty to do near Vernon resorts. In fact, if you have never experienced Okanagan Valley travel in the winter, it is about time that you do. In addition to the usual winter mountain activities such as skiing and snowboarding, you can try your hand at dog-sledding. Additionally, you can rent snowshoes and snowmobiles as well. Of course, if the kids love ice skating, you will be able to do that near most Vernon resorts during the winter.

Attractions Worth Seeing near Vernon Rentals

When you plan Okanagan Valley travel, you will want to consider the attractions in the Vernon area. Davison Orchards is a great place for the family to visit. You can pick seasonal fruit and flowers, have lunch, or even attend one of the many festivals they host. If you love honey, do not miss Planet Bee, the largest honeybee observatory in the region. For the geologists at heart, schedule a trip to dig for wildfire opal or visit the Allen Brooks Nature Center.
