  • Great choice for our Barcelona Vacation

"We have rented apartments in many European cities (Paris, London, etc.) and after 10 days in this wonderful Barcelona apartment, we think this one ranks among the top. First of all, Albert (the owner) was extremely responsive to every inquiry we had before the trip, and was kind enough to spend a great deal of time once we arrived explaining every aspect of both the apartment itself and the building in general. We felt comfortable and well-informed the minute we arrived. The apartment – which felt bigger than it looked in the photos – has incredible views of the city from the harbor to the mountains, and offered some incredible views of the sunset. We were three people in the apartment (a couple plus a close friend) and the two bedroom/two bath set-up let us all have plenty of space and privacy. The location is perfect: walking distance not only to the beach and marina (amazing seafood restaurants!), but to the historic El Born and Barri Gothic neighborhoods. To visit other areas, the metro stop “Barcelonetta” is quite literally in front of the apartment building door and couldn’t be more convenient. There are also many bus lines nearby, and frequent taxis on the street in front. The contemporary apartment lets you have the best of both worlds: its views of the old city and its charm make you feel as though you’re in the heart of ‘classic’ Europe, but the modern apartment maintains the 21st century conveniences we don’t want to abandon on vacation: a fast internet connection, cable TV (with news channels in English), plenty of outlets for all those gadgets we travel with, plus a state-of-the art kitchen, washer-dryer, dishwasher and good heat / air conditioning. It was extremely clean and well-maintained. There was also excellent security, including a doorman at the main entrance. We won’t hesitate to stay in Albert’s apartment again, which we hope will be soon!"
