Recent Firenze (Florence) Province reviews

  • Exceptional apartment in the heart of Florence.

"This is a beautiful place, just as it appears in the photos. On the ground floor, it has the advantage as having no stairways to climb. That's right. No stairs. So it's a very short trip from the street to your room. This is a rarity in Florence. It is an outstanding apartment, gorgeously appointed with antiques, vaulted ceilings with natural light, and a very well equipped kitchen . Close to the street, there are occasional loud noises early in the morning when garage style steel doors are being opened, but it must be pointed out that the street is otherwise virtually silent, as it is a residential pedestrian walkway. Considering how close this place is to all the action in Florence (it is just steps away from the Medici Chapel, and the central marketplace), it is very private and quiet. There was a problem with the hot water when I arrived, but the owner resolved that for me. As seen in the photos, there is a spiral staircase to the upstairs bed. It is a bit precarious to take those stairs in the middle of the night, so I recommend leaving the bathroom light on at night, so you are not groping around in the dark. All in all, this was truly exceptional place which I would strongly recommend. When I return to Florence, I would definitely want to stay there again."

  • Florence Home away from Home

"We recently stayed in Pinti 2 for 7 nights while visiting our son in Florence. From initial inquiries with Claudia, to our final checkout with Ketty (Claudia's assistant), EVERYTHING in the apartment was wonderful. Upon arrival, Claudia left us with a basket of fruit on the table, along with soft drinks and a carton of milk in the refrigerator- a nice touch after a long trip from Boston. We slept well (comfy beds), we ate well (a nice kitchen, and tons of restaurants close by), we explored everything by foot (easy walking to all points)- a great experience in all ways. The two bedrooms were great for us, and the separated upstairs loft was perfect for our college aged daughter. There is a local restaurant across the street which was wonderful, and a cappuccino/expresso shop just down on street level- a morning routine for us. We have rented apartments in Europe before- some are not as they seem to appear when booking online. Pinti 2 was as described, and pictures were true to form. A great rental, a great home away from home- we hope to return next year. Thank you Claudia- we enjoyed meeting you, and all the apartment had to offer."

  • Le Valle Villa guest house was fantastic!

"Our month long stay in September at Le Valle Villa guest house was fantastic. The house had all amenities anyone needs while exploring Tuscany. This was the perfect location, it allowed us to visit all four corners of the Chianti region. The guest house is next to Le Valle Castle in a gated estate property with beautiful views, pool, and a natural barbecue area. BBQ setting was great for evening dinner alfresco under the Tuscany sun. The house is ideally decorated with French antique furnishings and equipped with all the little things that make the place so comforting. The property overlooks the hillside of olives and vineyards and neighbouring castles. During our stay we explored the area around Le Valle. There are several hiking trails crossing vineyards, waterfalls, and authentic ancient roman roads. There are many wineries close by offering tours and evening dinners (strongly recommend a dinner tour). The owners were fantastic, warm, welcoming, very knowledgeable and always helpful. They provided advise on things to do, recommended restaurants and suggested tours in the area for us to take. We would return to Le Valle Villa without question and have been recommending the place to family and friends. The listing description is exactly as written, it's the place to stay under the Tuscany sun!"
