  • Still Reminiscing

"We stayed at Monte Poni for two wonderful weeks in July 2012. We were a party of 3 families with children and were each able to enjoy the comfort of our own villa but still have a wonderful holiday together. The pool was great and the villas really homey and comfortable. The scenery from every angle was picture perfect and the location fantastic. We could drive to Greve in a few minutes or walk up to Panzano in 30mins. We would often take the bus into Florence or use the car to tour around Chianti. Deirdre was on hand both prior to and during our holiday to help us with our queries. We are still reminiscing about our holiday and hope to be back one day."

  • An excellent stay

"Just returned from our wonderful trip to Italy, where our stay at this Tuscan Farmhouse truly made us feel comfortable and at home. The location was perfect for short trips into Florence, day trips to Siena, and many explorations of the surrounding hill towns. The hosts helpfully provided clear driving directions and information on nearby restaurants and activities. As our computer did not have a modem for the dial-up internet connection, we enjoyed planning our adventures from the many guidebooks and maps provided in the house. We discovered a hiking trail through woods nearby that took us around fortified castles that we'd recommend for visitors with sturdy legs. Beautiful views from the church next door, as well. We had many enjoyable dinners in the kitchen in front of the fireplace, which was a pleasure to use in cool weather. What a delight this lovely house was for our week-- we missed it when we traveled on to our next location. Thank you to the owners for all your assistance, from the booking stage to our arrival, and for making us feel so welcome."

  • Lovely Property, Lovely Hosts

"La Ventolina is everything as described. My husband and I stayed for a week while traveling through Italy. It is a wonderful base from which to explore the region. Francesca and Uli are amazing hosts, very warm and welcoming. Francesca gave us a tour upon arrival wine from their estate. She even shared some delicious fig preserves she had made. The cottage is well appointed with every amenity you should need. They have graciously stocked the kitchen with dinner for your first evening and then with many other treats. The garden was my favorite, so beautiful, full of vegetables. They made us feel welcome to pick what we needed. Made some yummy salads with added zucchini which Uli provided. The pool area is great, the view amazing. Francesca has a list of recommendations for activities, restaurants and shopping which was well utilized. If you are thinking to staying in the Tuscany region this is the place to stay."
