"What a lovely place to stay. The location is perfect. You can easily jump on a bus to get downtown, and can walk or bus up to a few different towns as well where there is a lot of swimming, boat rentals etc. It's also perfect if you just want to stay put - there is a great restaurant and bar with live music, incredible happy hour deals, and delicious food.
The apartment itself includes a small kitchen so you can buy some of your own food from the store downstairs and keep it cold. It's nicely furnished. The balcony is where it's really at though! Beautiful ocean views and whale watching right from your porch! A great place to eat breakfast or have a nightcap.
The staff here is great too - VERY friendly and always someone staffed at the front desk. Great ocean swimming, sweet pool, this place was all I could ask for and all at a great price!"

"I consider myself a well seasoned Puerto Vallarta "Private Luxury Villa Rental" aficionado having rented 8 different villas over the course of 6 years now. I've made it an annual tradition to experience a new private villa every August in PV, some years visiting more than once. Each villa has offered a different location, view, service, chef and overall vibe. I've experienced sleek and modern 12,000 sq. foot villas boasting 8 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms to smaller, luxuriously appointed 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom villas with incredible art collections. Each villa experience has had its pro's and con's - from wild animals foraging for food in the kitchen late at night to amazing settings but miserably disappointing chefs. I'm happy to say that Villa Los Arcos was one of the BEST experiences I've ever had in all of my PV luxury villa experiences - and I'm a HARD critic!!!
First and foremost, hands down, the staff was/is AMAZING - Alfonso, Chuey and Becka! Alfonso, the house manager, kicked my friends' butts with early morning hikes through the mountains, waterfalls and natural pools - and they LOVED it! Every evening before departing he would ask "Do you want tomorrow morning's hike easy, medium or hard?" For those of us who wanted nothing to do with a morning hike whatsoever, we awoke to coffee by the pool followed by an incredible "Chuey-made" breakfast - absolutely delicious! EVERY meal that Chuey created was incredible - and that's saying A LOT!!! She is simply amazing!
We wanted to rent jet-skis for an afternoon and Alfonso arranged to have 4 jet-skis DELIVERED and WAITING FOR US on the water at the dock below the house!!! We simply hopped on and took off... Incredible!
The list of positives about Villa Los Arcos goes on and on... All I can say is that our experience was absolutely wonderful and I would whole-heartedly recommend it to any of my closest family and friends. It was a blissful, beautiful, relaxing, carefree, delicious, pampered, satisfying experience! Treat yourself and experience it for yourself!"

Private Condo on the 5th floor overlooking the beach..And we got engaged on the beach at sunset!!
"While none of the beaches in Puerto Vallarta are private, this one sure seemed like it was because we had it mostly to ourselves! The condo is a cute little studio decorated brightly in a very appropriate theme...sun, fish, and a GIANT mirror making the small studio seem huge! The balcony overlooked Banderas Bay and was breathtaking, but we could also see the view from the huge king-sized bed! When we arrived, we had some trouble getting the A/C working so the first night was pretty miserable as the condo was humid and warm making it hard to sleep, but the next morning, we went into town and bought batteries ourselves and replaced them in the remote. That didn't do the trick so Matt and Deidre told us to borrow the remote from the other condo they own to make our A/C work. Well, those batteries were dead too, so we replaced them and FINALLY got the room cool! After that little mishap, it was smooth sailing. We were advised to book tours through the condo for the best deal, and as soon as we paid $216 for 1 excursion, we went to town and found a place that was offering 3 excursions for the price of 2....and 15% off on top of that. In total, we each did 2 SCUBA trips and Rhythm of the night for $400. It might help that I speak Spanish and can bargain, but I highly recommend going elsewhere to book tours! The Gym was wonderful and we were in there a few times before we headed out to the beach. We found a great little restaurant across from the bus stop in town that had shrimp burritos for 80 pesos ($5) and massages just down the street for $14/hour. The restaurant on site was great for breakfast and the staff was always friendly. There is a gate code to get into the gym and back on the property from the beach which the front desk forgot to give us, but we eventually got that too and went back and forth freely. We brought our own snorkels and masks and were able to check out the fish on the shoreline every morning which was a treat. This was our first time using VRBO and we will definitely use again! Hopefully coming back to PV in the very near future!"

"Stayed here for 11 days in October. Could not have found a more perfect place or location. Janet was so easy to deal with and rent from. The first 5 days we had a couple of girls in their early 20's with us and it was the perfect location for walking to restaurants, bars or just to the beach. The beach right in front had some erosion from some storms over the summer but 100 or so yards down the beach was fine. Great views of the bay and pier and of course the typical evening lightning shows. Would definitely come back."
