  • Great Base Camp!

"This was our first stay at the Alpen Den, and we loved it! We were in the area to ski Sunlight and the Alpen Den provided a great base camp. The apartment was comfortable and had everything a traveler would need. Plush towels for the hot springs, comfy beds with flannel sheets, a great kitchen, and room to relax. Great location, the Alpen Den is close enough to town for a quick trip, but far enough away that you felt like you were staying out in the mountains. Loved it!"

  • Wedding to Remember

"It was awesome! The pool is saltwater and relaxing. The room was great and the price was better than the Wedding party rate at the Hyatt Beaver Creek. Room was very clean. Loved the fireplace. The only negative is the parking. I do not ever valet my car for any reason, I am weird about people having the keys to my car. Be made aware that it is cheaper to valet your car then self park in October. Charlie was crystal clear about the parking from the beginning so it was no surprise. I would return."

  • Comfortable and great location

"We stayed 3 nights with our two small children. Margie was extremely accommodating and responsive to our questions. We had a relaxing stay and definitely plan to stay again. Very clean, comfortable, great for kids, and stocked with many things. The location was perfect, we walked to the Village. This would be a great property for skiing, so close to the lifts. The only issue we had was our car with a roof box did not fit in the low ceiling garage. There is plenty of outdoor parking however. Thanks for a great stay!"

  • Great stay

"Great apartment in a convenient location. Perfect since we skied at different resorts, from Beaver Creek to Arapahoe Basin. Close to shopping, restaurants and cinema. Well equipped and cosy. We had a great time."

Northwest Travel Tips

Northwest Colorado Lodging for Expansive Western Adventures

Come enjoy the expansive western landscape of Northwest Colorado and experience the local history, cultures and wildlife. Northwest Colorado lodging is ideal for the avid hunter, explorer or even the family looking to experience the historical influences of past outlaws and homesteads.

Choose Northwest Colorado Lodging and Schedule a Big Game Hunt

Even if you’ve never been hunting before, you’ll love a weekend of capturing elk and deer near your mountain cabins in Colorado. Experience them in their natural habitat, and learn new skills in the process. Special hunts are also organized for kids only and first-timers to teach basic safety procedures that are so important. Send them off for a few days while the adults enjoy activities at the many resorts in Colorado, too.

Take a Wild Horse Tour near Mountain Cabins in Colorado

Experience the wild horses that live in the plains surrounding your Northwest Colorado lodging by scheduling a special tour the entire family will enjoy. Spend one day or several camping in the open lands near the mountain cabins in Colorado, and take plenty of photos to remember your adventure. Day tours, in 4x4s, designed to see the horses are also quite popular for a simple change of pace from the everyday resorts in Colorado.

Unique Resorts in Colorado Offer Access to Working Ranches

If you love to always be busy while on vacation, stay in Northwest Colorado lodging options that place you in the middle of a working dude ranch. Feed the horses and clean stalls, then round up the cattle with the other guests who are staying in mountain cabins in Colorado.

Family-style dinners can be included with some packages, so you’ll enjoy meeting with other guests. After a few days of hard work and fun learning experiences, you can return to your choice in resorts in Colorado for plenty of pampering and relaxation during the remainder of your vacation.
