  • Exceeded our Expectations

"We had a fabulous vacation at Captain's Quarters. Captain Alex and Janet make guests feel welcome and are available if you need anything. The condo was located on a quiet street and had all the comforts of home. We've rented many times through VRBO but have never stayed somewhere that offers this much value. Having access to a boat was worth the cost all on its own. Unless you own a boat, how often do you get a chance to cruise to a beautiful island, watch dolphins playing, the sun setting over the Gulf and enjoying the cool breezes on the water? It was like a dream. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There is so much to see and do in this wonderful area that we only scratched the surface. We enjoyed exploring the shops and restaurants of Dunedin, learning about the sea sponge industry in Tarpon Springs, and visiting the Salvador Dali museum in St. Petersburg. We'd love to return someday and do it all again!"

  • Two years in a row and already thinking of coming back

"This was our third visit to Florida (from Holland) in three years time and without any doubt this is our favorite spot! The boat Condo combination is perfect for anyone who loves boating, visiting unspoiled islands etc. This combination is truly unique and knowing that renting a boat for a day cost $300 or more there is no question when we return were we will stay. Besides the boat there is a long list of nice touches: - Janet and Alex are so nice even my boys are talking about them ;-) - BBQ onsite - Balcony with nice seating - Boat deck with seating and views with passing dolphins - Swiming of the docks and so much more When we return we will be there for two weeks! Thanks again"

  • Convenient Location

"We just finished a two-week stay in this unit. The owner's description is accurate as are the pictures. Although the kitchen might appear to have limited storage space, the closet is huge, and there are many shelves to use for additional storage. There are also plenty of sheets and towels, including beach towels. The pools and waterfront areas are well designed and attractive. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Dunedin, which is a very active community with easy access to a bike/walking trail. Mike was also very helpful and accommodating with a later checkout. We would definitely stay there again."

  • A lovely home away from home

"The nicest vrbo home we have ever stayed in, a lot for the money - comfortably accommodates 7, homey bungalow yet ceramic tile gives a feeling of clean with every amenity one could imagine (read other reviews) and within a block of the Pinellas Trail. We rode miles every day once we figured out to go north instead of south. No need to seek out a bird sanctuary; the birds come daily to the yard and can be observed through the screened sunroom. We want to thank the neighbor (who also clued us in on driving through Walgreen's parking lot to go north on 19 Alternate, Bayshore Blvd) for alerting us or we might have been surprised by the blue heron and his feathery friends. Within walking distance of Walgreen's, Publix, a Dollar General and a thrift shop. Quiet neighborhood within easy driving distance of the Causeway, Honeymoon Island Park, and about 7 miles from Clearwater Beach. However, we preferred Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs - no charge, fewer people, cabanas, grills, a small beach and also about 7 miles from the house though in the opposite direction. Our kids from Montana loved the area so much that they are seriously considering moving to the Dunedin area. The Trade Winds property definitely exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended."
