  • Gorgeous and Clean!!

"My friends/family and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday and I couldn't have picked a better place. We were 8 adults and 1 baby. This house is BEAUTIFULLY decorated, it has a very rustic feel but also updated with modern amenities such as a natural gas fireplace, wifi, TV/Cable and even an alarm system. The owners were wonderful to work with (LOVE Judie) and they provide basically anything you could ever need including a fully stocked kitchen with beautiful granite countertops, plastic utensils/cups/plates, appliances such as blender, keurig and even a crockpot. They also provide towels, linens, etc... In other words..just pack your clothes, swimsuit and don't forget the sunblock! I also have to note that this house is very CLEAN, we were very impressed. The decor really sets the perfect atmosphere, they have done a terrific job with the interior of this home. They also had 2 kayaks and a pedal boat available along with life jackets. It was so much fun and the lake is clean and has a beautiful mountain backdrop. Overall, we were very happy with our choice and pleasantly surprised to discover that it was better than we had hoped. Can't wait to return next year!!!"

  • Beautiful home

"This home was very well stocked. There was nothing this family of 10 needed. The beds were comfortable and the back patio was a favorite spot for the adults and children. (Just be aware of scorpions in this part of country due to all of the rock) Unfortunately, there was a power issue with electric company on Saturday that shorted out the hot tub so we didn't get to enjoy. The neighborhood pool was visited and enjoyed by the grandkids. This home is very convenient to Branson Landing and the strip. We would definitely consider this home on our next vacation to Branson."

  • Lovely tranquil spot

"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here. We loved the location! In one day I saw an eagle and a fox at the pond. Wonderful! This home is ideal for families. The furnishings are simple and there isn't too much to worry about the children damaging or breaking. We really enjoyed ourselves and would stay here again. We thought it was good value for the nightly charge."

  • Simply Amazing...

"It is hard to decide whether I am more impressed with the property or the wonderful service from the owner. Everthing was fantastic! The pictures don't do the property justice! From the privacy to the scenery and even the homey touches in the cabin... we were all just swept off our feet by the River Mist Retreat. My group of 5 slept comfortably in the cabin where we had plenty of towels and kitchen items readily available, not to mention an excellent set up for cooking indoors our out with the propane grill (we used it many times with tasty results) There was wood already chopped for fires and a lauch ramp for the rafts we took out in the river every day of our vacation. A nap in the hammock will make you rethink going home at the end of it all. The town was fun to explore and the state park is close by. We even played horseshoes and hiked the creek that runs through the property. I could go on and on about River Mist and the family's incredible hospitality, but I will simply advise that you make this your vacation selection. I could not have been more satisfied with the booking or our decision to stay in the wonderful town of Fries! Thank you Shannon and family for sharing your retreat!"
