"Grandma's cabin totally met our expectations of a winter getaway: a warm, cozy, beautifully decorated cabin nestled in the mountains surrounded by the peacefulness of nature. We loved the fact it was so private and quiet. There is a fire pit which we enjoyed sitting around an open fire roasting marsh-mellows and relaxing. Chimney Rock is around the corner so we spent the day hiking and climbing the rock and afterwards enjoying lunch at the village below. Asheville is only 25 miles and we took a couple of trips there. Also, we enjoyed hiking and exploring the 5 acres and relaxing in the hot tub. We all loved the comfort and solitude it offered. It was one of the best stays in the mountains and we look forward to returning."

Perfect spot - in between and close to so many things!
"This was a very spur of the moment trip for us, and the owner and neighbor were SO accommodating for us on such short notice. I loved the location, so close to Brevard, Hendersonville, Flat Rock, and Asheville, it was perfect. I admit, we spent most our time in the Du Pont State forest (GREAT mountain biking!!), but we hiked a couple places in Pisgah and some trips into nearby towns. This place was a perfect location to do all that, and the cabin itself was very well equipped with everything we needed, and very comfortable. The deck was great and the lake was fun to walk around and my sons even fished and enjoyed that."

"We enjoyed our stay in Hendersonville, the property manager was extremely accomodating and the property was lovely, though we did end up staying at another property closer to the downtown area. The Gem Mines were fun for the kid. This was an extremely positive experience and we recommend to others."

"Crab Creek House is a wonderful place to stay and the owners are the nicest people. The home is very comfortable and private, but close to downtown Hendersonville, Brevard, the Davidson River, DuPont Forest, etc. Owners Donna and Larry brought a basket of goodies for us to enjoy. That was very special! I would recommend this property and would rent it again."
