Beautiful, idyllic country setting, great for visiting wine country and nearby Portland
"This was our first trip to the Northwest, and we couldn't have picked a better location from which to stage our day trips. The guest house is well appointed, located on a beautiful, serene setting along the Willamette River. The Farrell's are gracious hosts, offering us use of their kayak, as well as access to their chicken coup for fresh eggs! Their friendly Golden Retriever was always there to greet us when we returned from our sightseeing excursions. The heart of wine country is just up the road, and downtown Portland is only 30 minutes away. Within 2-hour's drive are Mt. St. Helens, the Oregon coast, Mt. Hood, and the Columbia Gorge. There are excellent restaurants nearby, and Portland is renown for these as well. We highly recommend this property to any couple looking to explore this beautiful part of the country."

"We had the middle apartment and it was just perfect for the two of us. It was clean, comfortable, had WiFi, Kitchen, and shower. It was conveniently located so that there was easy access to public transportation for going into Portland and easy access to highway to explore the country side. We really liked have the option to cook our own food etc. Alway good to start the day with a good breakfast or wind down after exploring all day. We had use of a wonderful oasis in her back yard. Intimate and friendly place were Peggy has used very creative plantings to create a one of a kind rain forest type garden.Peggy was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area and explained where to: pick up the public transportation (she had maps), get groceries, find local restaurants and local attractions. All of her suggestions were spot on! Next time we are in Portland will try to stay in one of Peggy's apartments!"

"The perfect place for us to use as a base camp while visiting children and grandchildren in Portland. This secluded studio in SW Portland is a close walk (or drive) to lovely little Multnomah Village and a short and easy drive to downtown Portland, yet the area feels nearly rural. Karen is the best hostess ever--ready with any needed information about the studio and the area and yet very unobtrusive. She kindly accommodated our early arrival and welcomed us into a sparkling clean room. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom perfect (we love the colorful tile accents), and while the studio is in the lower level of her home, with its separate entry and deck, we felt in a very private space."

"The final price ended up being a little steeper than we hoped but the location was perfect and the property had all the amenities of a condo that aren't available at a hotel. Off-street parking is slim but was available for us. If all the units are rented during your stay, it is unlikely that off-street parking would be accessible. We would stay here again."
