We cooked as well as ordered take- out from restaurants like Lei Leis. Lots of food trucks near by as well as Paradise helicopters. Close to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Very relaxing. Beautiful fireworks on the Fourth of July. We had 4 villas for our family of 16. Everyone had a great time!

Beautiful but a little misleading

While the property was clean and the views were beautiful, we were not able to use all the amenities of the hotel as stated in the description. It seemed as though it was going to be a seamless experience to use everything from the pool, but we were turned away from the gym. The kitchen was also not stocked well as we even had to buy surface spray. Other rentals in the past have had much more waiting for us.

Loved it!

The property is at a prime spot on the north shore of Oahu at Turtle Bay. It looks out at the ocean (wonderful to view sunrises and sunsets). The villa is filled with amenities - very large TVs, WiFi, very well stocked kitchen with all utensils needed. Great dishwasher and washer and dryer. Beach towels provided as well as other beach items such as chairs, umbrellas and snorkel gear available in the storage locker. I could highly recommend this property.

Best family paradisiac Hawaii Vacation spot

It was our first time ever in Hawaii and staying at the villas was our best decision. We have heard that Honolulu and Waikiki could get too crowded and we were looking to enjoy some relaxed time with our kids so we went directly from the airport to north shore and we got directly into the island slow, happy joyfully and respectful vibe, directly into paradise never meeting any crowds :) The north shore is Paradise. It feels REAL, there are lots of rustic, small secluded beaches you can easily walk by from the hotel and interesting vegetation hikes you can walk, bike or horse ride just minutes away. The villas were just PERFECT with all the comfort from a hotel, but wit a more private feeling. It is totally equipped with everything and more than you can need. Having a laundry, kitchen, microwave and fridge with a mini freezer is much more comfortable when traveling with kids than staying in a hotel room for longer days. The VIEWS from the balcony are incredible. We just wanted to have breakfast and lunch and read a book in the balcony watching the ocean, the beach and listening to the birds. The beach is even closer to the apartment than if you would be staying at the hotel and is so much peaceful and quiet at the villas. Yet you can still enjoy their restaurants that are just 1 min walk away. roys restaurant was amazing at the beach Gina and Kimberly were super nice all the way making you feel almost like family taking care of you all the way. They are super nice and give you great tips in the island. We have tried nanny Hawaii and was amazing to have someone of trust while we could engage in some activities like surf at Hans Hedemann at the hotel totally recommended (we tried 2 other companies also. It this was absolutley the best) Gina and Kimberly are so generous that they even provided you with a locker full of kids toys, balls, umbrella and chairs. It was more than we expected, we definitely will be back. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I fell in love with Hawaii on a family trip when I was seven years old. I got married at Kualoa Ranch just a short drive from the Turtle Bay Resort and bought my 3-bedroom villa in the Ocean Villas a few years later. My parents loved it there so much that they bought a 4-bedroom for our whole family to enjoy together for family vacations! We started managing the Ocean Villas for other owners in 2005 and we now manage 18 of the very small community of villas. Almost my whole family is involved now. My sister Kimberly Perales is our reservations manager, marketing and advertising lead and accounts receivable. My sister Jennifer Liotta manages routine maintenance. We also have a few non-family members: Hagen, our on-island maintenance coordinator; Lea, reservations and social media marketing, and Joanna, our on-site cleaning supervisor. The villas are a special place for us all. My parents have traveled to lots of other resorts and islands but haven't found one that compares to the magical island feel of Turtle Bay. My sister Kim and her husband have two daughters who both love the heated villa pool and the sandy beach in front of the villas. I have a 16-year-old son who has grown up surfing, paddle boarding, and playing in the waters of Turtle Bay, and I have a 7-year-old daughter who just loves the pool and sandy beach too! We take family trips out there every couple of months. Our whole family travels there together at least once a year and we have countless special memories from each trip. Our villas are home to us, and I hope they feel like home to your family and friends too!

Why they chose this property

I picked the Ocean Villas at the Turtle Bay Resort because they have the best of everything that Hawaii has to offer. The location is remote, tropical and beautiful. There are tons of fun things to do there, I leave every trip wishing I had more time. There are great restaurants and shopping on site and close-by. It has a surfing and body boarding beach on the other side of the hotel, and a calm sandy swimming and snorkeling beach right in front of the villas that is great for babies all the way to seniors. We frequently get sea lions that rest of the shore and just a short hike past the horse stables you come to a bay where I almost always see sea turtles! There are two golf courses on site, horseback riding for adults, kids and even my baby went on a fun pony ride along the beach! There is 15 miles of hiking and biking trails, 5 miles of beach, Segway rentals kayak, paddle board and surfboard rentals and lessons, multiple tennis courts, a fitness center, we are close to Haleiwa with jet skiing, fishing tours, whale, turtle and dolphin tours, close to Kualoa Ranch, location for about 50 different movies, a historical WWII site with bunkers you can walk through, and an ancient historical burial site for the kings. You can go on challenging or easy mountain bike rides, ATV rides, horseback rides and jeep tours there. There is a cute macadamia nut farm close by and Dole pineapple plantation not too far away with the largest maze that you can walk/run through! Waterfall hikes and more! Outside of the location and amenities, I loved the villas themselves. They are five-star accommodations, meticulously designed with attention to detail.

What makes this property unique

Our villas are a second home to us, and we added all the comforts of home to them. We have a large storage room on site with extras of just about everything in the villa, from silverware, dishes, and coffee makers to a spare washer and dryer, so that if anything happens during your stay, we can get it fixed or replaced right away for you. Everything we use is high quality from the soft sheets to the silverware. Your comfort is important to us! You can have cleanings, towel service, or pre-stock of the villa before arrival for a fee. Our villas are located on the Turtle Bay Resort, so you have the added benefit of being in walking distance to restaurants, a couple shops, and tons of activities, but you don’t have to pay a resort fee!
