The Artists House is a home away from home with the comfortable furnishings and great amenities. The fabulous Lana'i sunsets can be enjoyed outside on the deck. There are two bedrooms, one comfortable king bed in the master bedroom and a comfortable queen bed in other bedroom. The living room has a sofa bed with a queen temper-pedic mattress. There two bathrooms, one with a jet tub and the other with a double head shower. There is an outdoor shower after the beach or just to be in the Lana'i Hawaiian air. No need to bring too many clothes as there is a washer and dryer that is top notch! The Artist's home is a fully renovated double insulated plantation home from the 1930's that will give you the feel of being back in time and yet, with all the amenities of comfort such as granite countertops, dishwasher, wood floor, fans, etc . This home is owned and was fully renovated in 2009 by a well known artist who now lives on Maui's - Jordanne. Her artwork is on the walls and creates a lovely feeling of plantation life ambiance. You can swim at Manele Bay, play tennis, golf, attend free water aerobics at the local heated pool, hike the Munroe Trail, drive to different parts of the island such as Polihua Beach, Shipwreck Beach, Garden of The Gods, and then come home and enjoy the rest of the evening in the quiet area of town at the Artists home. About Jordanne Perkins
I purchased this property in 2004 and fully renovated it in 2009/2010. My original intent was that it was to be my dream home. A small, intimate property with everything you need and desire to enjoy island life. I kept everything from the original property that I was able to keep to continue the original plantation energy of the home such as the beadboard ceiling and walls. The home is fully double wall insulated with new windows to keep the sound of the roosters at bay for a lovely night sleep. Due to falling in love, I now live in Maui but, since we fell in love in Lana'i we have chosen to keep this special property to share with other like minded individuals who desire to fall in love with the island as much as we did. I am a successful artist who is married, owns the Jordanne Gallery in Makawao, Maui and has two young children. I have been a successful artist since 2003 where I spent years from 2002-2012 showcasing my artwork at The Four Season Hotels on Lana'i and residing in this special home for many of those years.

We enjoyed the Artist's house for a few fun days in Lanai, exploring beaches, the town center, shops and restaurants. The steam shower was a nice touch, the quiet in the evening not to mention the night sky were gems for sure! Without daily breezes I would be concerned as it was starting to get a little warm at sunset but always chilly in the morning. We loved it!
Thank you so very much for staying at the home and I am glad you had a wonderful stay.
Please come and stay again.
Just what we were looking for
In Lanai for work, we needed a house with enough space to charge our equipment and get a good night's rest. This house was perfect for those purposes, and if we're ever lucky enough to "have" to come back to Lanai for work we'll try to book this one again.
Very relaxing and quiet
As soon as we walked onto the property, all our stress melted away. The home was very clean. Property manager answered my many questions quickly and was very friendly.
Wonderful home! Clean, great lay-out, great location!
I enjoyed my stay here very much. Jordanne was available and encouraged me to get in touch if I had any issues.
The house is well-stocked and has everything you could need.
Before I arrived, I was concerned that there is no a/c, but Jordanne let me know that there are ceilings no fans. I was still worried, but I needn’t have! The cross-breezes along with the ceiling fans, plus the fact that Lana’i city is generally not as hot as Maui for example, made it a totally comfortable temperature.
Lana’i doesn’t have the best Wi-Fi, so it’s necessary to unplug the routers and replug them throughout the day.
I didn’t use the two outbuildings so I can’t speak to them. But the main house was great.
There is on-demand water heaters, so just make sure they are on when you need the hot water- the especially the one in the spare powder room. Great water pressure too. Plus I love the hand-held shower attachment in the en-suite bathroom.
I would definitely recommend this home and would return here myself.
Older plantation home with new twist very nice close to everything and had everything you need would highly recommend would stay again
It was a pleasure to have you stay at the Artists House! The house was originally built in the 1930’s and we tried to keep as much as we could to keep the history within the walls yet still have modern amenities such as double head steam shower, jacuzzi tub, stainless steal appliances, new wood floor and double insulated windows and more!:) So glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to have you again.
Our employees loved the experience of Old Hawaii at The Artist House. Jordanne was extremely informative, pleasant, and the hospitality was amazing. You could not ask for a better host and experience. We recommend this rental.
There are wonderful day trips to beautiful sites such as shipwreck beach, polihua beach (7 mile white sand beach pretty much in the middle of nowhere!), Garden of the Gods, Munroe Trail. Try to find the petroglyphs at shipwreck beach and see the turtles popping their heads up in the waters. Take a day or two to spend at Manele Bay, Hulopoe Beach - the most comfortable day beach with restrooms, picnic tables, bbq areas with a wonderful snorkeling reef, walk to Sweetheart Rock and even tide pools to check out some Hawaiian reef fish personally! The Four Seasons Hotel is a wonderful spot to eat some dinner or have a wonderful lunch. There is a free community pool, tennis courts and even golf that is only about a 10 minute walk away. Car rental and fishing expeditions easily available through property manager who is here to answer any questions and be of help and service to you during your stay. Trilogy is a wonderful boat company as well to take a day snorkel adventure where you are sure to see the spinner dolphins! Lana'i is a special island and The Artists Home is a wonderful place to come home to after fun adventures around the island or if adventures aren't your thing, the home is great to spend the day at relaxing and breathing in the wonderful Hawaiian air and spending a day in a serene environment.
