Great location with beautiful views

Absolutely loved our stay in the villa. Enjoyed waking up to the beautiful golf course and Mountain Views. We appreciated the well stocked house/garage with bikes, towels and beach chairs. Easy access to trails, beach club, restaurants and market. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Puako area and hope to stay here again in the future!

Lovely Property

The condo was well stocked - both in the kitchen and all of the beach toys and gear. We love the Islands condos and this was perfect for our stay. It is located with a really nice view of the golf course and pond.

The Aloha Spirit!

We absolutely loved our stay at Island Song. The home was perfect for the 4 of us and it was decorated beautifully. The view overlooking the Mauna Lani golf course was fantastic and the 3 lanais were perfect for our group. The kitchen is very well stocked for meals, the owners thought of everything. The primary bedroom was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Additionally, the community amenities such as the pool was a treat. Loved that it was a salt water pool. Working with the property management team was a great experience and they were very prompt when we had a question or need. I would highly recommend Island Song and we can’t wait to return!!

Lovely gated area

Beautiful location, quiet and private. The home was a little dated and needed a little TLC. Our only (small) complaint would be that the living room furniture was rather disappointing given the location and price per night. The couch sagged quite badly and the other chairs were not designed for comfortable sitting. The overall aesthetic of the room was pleasant and If guests don't plan on spending much time indoors then that obviously wouldn't be a problem. Outdoor lanai seating was very nice. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Wish Communication Would Have Been Better-Pool was Closed ENTIRE Stay

My family traveling was returning to the Big Island and after hours of research decided on Island Song Villa. When we realized we had a late flight I inquired about having access to the pool? The owners responded that many of the renters just purchase another night to make for an easier departure day. I thought that was good advice and we extended our stay for a night (at a higher summer rate). The volcano erupted and we were again in communication about our stay. We arrived to the house late on a Thursday night. Beautiful house that meet all my expectations from my research but imagine my surprise the next morning when I went to find the pool would be closed for maintenance from May 1- June 5 -our entire stay. I was disappointed that they did not communicate this to us especially since having access to a pool was a high priority to my family since sometime teenagers want to sleep in or get sick of the sand. I had to contact the owners and inquire if another pool option was available. There was but it was driving distance and not a convenient stroll from the house. Then we were contacted that the main pool would be closed and 2 days we only had access to a lap pool. I realize this is a first-world problem but when you spend a lot of time and money I believe that this should have been communicated upfront. I've stayed at hotels where construction or maintenance was going on and was informed upfront. I wrote the owners after our stay and let them know of my disappointment and after 10 days have yet to receive a response. There was ample opportunity once they found out about the maintenance to let us know. They could have left a pineapple, flowers, fruit basket or bottle of wine with a note "please accept our apologize that Island Song Pool is under maintenance here is an alternative.pool. Sorry for the inconvenience" They could have also extended our one night at the spring rate $20 difference for the fact the pool was closed. Something to compensate the fact that we did not have all the amenities we thought we were getting when I reserved the house. We might have been able to rent another property since they have several. I would have paid more for a pool. At the very least they should have let us know before so we would have known what to expect. Didn't get this waterfall pool!

This was an unfortunate situation with this guest. The pool was closed for emergency repair for safety which was supposed to be done in advance of this guest's stay. The repairs ran 10 days over which we found out just as the guests arrived (pool has since opened). Unfortunately this was out of our control. We had already provided highly discounted rates for their stay but unfortunately the guest sought to use this to her advantage to try to extract money otherwise she would write a bad review. It is a shame when guests take that tactic and it is the downside of internet reviews. We take great pride in creating wonderful experiences for guests and the 400+ five star reviews across our homes demonstrate that.

Great experience. Only bummer was garage door broke on day 2 and we could not park at the house, but parking was a short walk away

Nice place but a bit of a bummer at the end.

We liked the Island Song but it needed a little TLC nothing big, rugs were spotty and the hot and cold water was backwards in the kitchen. We really liked the location. What we didn't like was toward the end of our stay we talked to the reps and told them we wanted to book one of their other condos just down the street for next year. We were told we had plenty of time. We got home at the end of our trip and three days later figured out our dates and went on their website to book them. They had raised the price $100. I asked if they would honor the price. No one replied. I texted twice and emailed three times. No reply. I felt like once we were gone pfffft, no big, lots of other folks. We are older people who never made a sound and cleaned up after ourselves before we left. It will be interesting to see what their excuse is. By the way, the dates we wanted are still open a month later. 12/21

Island Song

Very nice stay. The unit has an excellent view of the golf course fairway & lovely pond with the mountains in the distance. It is very private & the outdoor dining area shaded & protected from any wind. The unit is attractively furnished in a simple style that is efficient & meets your needs. Kitchen is quite well equipped although a few things could be added such as wine glasses & a small hand mixer. Barbecue was excellent for a rental unit. Would recommend this unit.

Lots of room, very peaceful

We loved our stay. We’d stayed in waikoloa The last time we came and this area was super close yet much quieter. We loved having the bikes. We’d go get smoothies at the mauna lani or bike down to watch the sunset. The villa was very spacious, beautiful and comfortable. It had all the beach gear you could want and was very nice to have coffee and microwave popcorn available at arrival. The private beach club access was wonderful. Absolutely gorgeous little bay, we rented a SUP and saw turtles and lots of fish. Easy swimming. We would highly recommend this villa.

great location, 3.5* property for our traveling party

Great location in the Mauna Lani resort, fun to have bikes, and the beach chairs, umbrellas, boards, and towels were indispensable. We were familiar with the Kohala Coast and revisited our favorites beaches, hikes, restaurants, and snorkeling venues. The property itself was fine for our family of 5, but there were a few shortcomings: 1 child slept on the "couch" in the upstairs hallway (which was described as a loft/sleeping area, but there were no shades on the adjacent windows so the sun streamed in each morning at 6:00. In the bathroom of the twin bedroom, some of the lights were not working. The towel racks in the master bathroom easily fell down a few times when removing the towels, and the mainfloor bathroom didn't have a towel rack at all (for hanging a hand towel). The kitchen is a little dated but had all the equipment we needed for making some meals and BBQing. Would be nice to have a container for recycling in the house bc there is recycling on the property. W e carried our glass/aluminum/paper separately. We rented snorkle gear from Snorkle Bob's bc the sets in the garage were in medium shape - many of the snorkle straps are broken, and there were mismatched pairs. We were ok with renting bc we are familiar with Bob's operation. And like I said it was a bonus to have the chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards. Thank you for a pleasant stay - we love the Big Island!

Great Covid hideaway

Spent 15 days here in December when the rest of the country was pretty much locked down. This unit is in a great location of Mauna Lani. A gated community near everything. The unit has a good layout and is larger than most 2BR/2 Bath that we looked at. Great views over the Mauna Lani golf course. If you are active, you’ll like all of the beach equip they have in the garage. boogie boards, snorkel equip, beach chairs, beach towels and umbrellas ......all which can be rolled to the beach in a fold up wagon. Also 6 bikes. Loved the big cooler for our Costco runs. The property managers were very responsive prior to checking in and during our stay. Unit is pretty well equipped. Decent assortment of dishes & cookware. Unit is a little dated relative to price/night. Unit was tidy when we arrived, but not as clean as we would have expected. Also , for longer tenants, a few more supplies would have been nice. We are attributing this to Covid times and the property managers said they’d address it. Didn’t detract from our vacation.

Professional, Clean, lovely family rental

We really enjoyed our recent staycation. There were plenty of beach gear and bikes for all ages, so my kids could loop around the cul de sac and ride just a minute to the awesome family pool with waterfall cave (big hit!). We were also given private beach club access which has amazing snorkeling! Great for all age entry. Bathrooms were really nice, everything was clean and tidy. Only compaint if there was one is the dishwasher is super dated and a little rickety. Others, appliances stocked for easy cooking, lots of clean beach towels at your disposal, and super cozy stay!!! Highly recommend.

Beautiful condo with a great view

We loved our staycation at this condo! Stunning views of golf course lake and mountains, very peaceful. Condo is very spacious with two full size bedrooms and bathrooms, which were very comfortable and modern. Three large lanais, all with great views and comfortable furniture. Kitchen was a little older and could use some upgrades (couldn't get the dishwasher shelves to pull out correctly or actually run, refrigerator made a lot of strange noises, cabinet pulls could use a deep cleaning, a couple new skillets would be nice, coffee grinder didn't work). These were little things that would improve an already great place to stay. Highly recommend.

Wonderful amenities, perfect condo.

The condo was in wonderful condition, and all the accessories (snorkel gear, beach towels, etc) and amenities (beach club, pool, bbq, patio, lawn) contributed to the ease of recreation and family time. We could enjoy hawaii instantly on arrival, not a moment wasted.

We shared this lovely condo with our friends.

This is a lovely large condo, with everything we could possibly need provided to make our stay comfortable and stress free. We particularly appreciated being allowed to leave a little later than check out time as our rental car broke down and we had to wait for a replacement. Thank you so much for your flexibility. We are definitely going to recommend this condo to all our friends.

Home Away From Home

This home is lovely. The rooms are huge and it is nicely and comfortably furnished. A big plus for us was the dual air conditioning. It made it so easy to keep the home at the perfect temperature without overusing their electricity. The TV even had DVR service. We had goats as neighbors and the golf course as a back yard. I would stay here again without a second thought. This is a very expensive condo that rents for a great price. Jeff and Suzanne are the very best.

Clean, spacious and comfortable villa

We had a wonderful time at island song villa. Villa was more than we expectated it was larger than the picture posted online. Room layout was well thought out and very comfortable. Kitchen was organized and clean. We have stayed at other properties of Mauna Lani but we enjoyed this villa a lot. Pool was also nice it’s a good size pool with lovely a waterfall. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends.

Beautiful condo on the golf course.

The condo was beautifully decorated and incredibly well equipped with quality kitchen and sporting equipment (snorkel gear, bicycles.) The beds and furniture were quite comfortable. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the golfers, birds and occasional goat! The beach was close and had good snorkeling. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Highly recommend...Super spacious, comfortable, serene...just spectacular!!! Wonderful management...

Aloha!! I can not say enough wonderful things about this property and the management staff. We arrived in the afternoon with previously emailed instructions and codes for a seamless entry. The property is quite spacious and extremely comfortable. We were a party of four adults however, this unit would be great for families with children as well. Island Song Villa is even more beautiful than the pictures and the lanais look out on the 15th fairway. Superbly peaceful and serene. Points of Interest: Sleeping was comfortable...the Bathrooms (newly updated) were palatial... Air conditioning was fantastic!..The kitchen is well appointed and has EVERYTHING you would need to cook/prepare meals/drinks and BBQ. I sincerely appreciated the generous offering of spices as well as an abundance of glasses and dishes. The unit was stocked with EVERYTHING you would need to do laundry PLUS an amazing drying rack which we utilized regularly. Additionally, there was an ample stock of large quality beach towels. We rode bikes everyday to the Mauna Lani shops where there are several great restaurants and a grocery store. We generally drove to Waikaloa Village for grocery shopping but the Foodland is quite adequate and convenient (sign up for a rewards card for discounts!) I recommend Under the Bodhi tree...vegetarian and WONDERFUL!! and Tommy Bahamas. Also, the ice cream shop was one of our almost daily favorites !! We made good use of all the extensive beach gear in the huge garage...boogie boards and snorkel gear galore!! Plus a wagon/cart and coolers if you choose to walk to the private Mauna Lani beach. We did travel to other beaches nearby...Hapuna/Black sand beach and Mauna Kea...but the Private Beach with cabanas and a restaurant and great snorkeling was just the best!! The gorgeous pool is about a 2 minute walk with a waterfall feature and a hot tub...VERY private, quite and relaxing. We did rent a car upon our arrival which is a must as Kona (airport) is about a 25 minute drive from the property. Also, as this was our first trip to Hawaii, we wanted to do some exploring. My son and his girlfriend decided on a zipline adventure booked through Snorkel Bobs (in the Mauna Lani shops) so we traveled to the other side of the island (Hilo) and saw Akaka Falls/definitely worth the 1.5 hr drive. There is TONS of golfing all around too!! I would HIGHLY recommend Island Song Villa for its location/comfort/amenities and superb management. Absolutely Stunning!!! Mahalo!!
