We invite you to stay in our beautiful slice of Hawaii! Located in THE VILLAGES, a private, gated community, The Villages offers guests maximum comfort and convenience. Our home is walking distance to all of Mauna Lani's amenities and cardkey access is provided to the newly updated Private Beach Club during your stay.

Our 2,170 sq. ft. home (plus over 600 ft of private balconies and lanai's) was built in the first stage of The Villages.

The unique features of this home compared to other homes in The Villages are:

*Only unit with lava rock wall from driveway to front door.

*Next to and behind one story units versus two story units means complete privacy with the added perk of afternoon/evening sun on the lanai!

*Beautiful mountain views from the front on a quiet side street with only 5 homes.

*All upgrades possible during construction of the unit

Enjoy the best of both worlds as you are shielded from the two main roads leading into The Villages by an expansive, raised, tropically landscaped island- Peace of mind with smaller children as only a handful of homes sit on our quiet little street. It's a short 124 yard stroll to The Shops (Farmland Foods gourmet grocery store, Tommy Bahama Cafe, Ruth Chris, Oasis and more)

The 'Lehua' layout has a great room concept that extends through a large window-wall pocket door, to a spacious lanai and yard creating a fun, entertaining space.

All kitchen items are top of the line and you will find nothing missing for any size meal you choose to prepare including, stainless steel appliances, GE dishwasher, island with double sink, large Sub-Zero refrigerator, coffee maker, coffee grinder, toaster.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a walk-in closet with built-ins, private balcony and large bathroom with spacious soaking tub. The second bedroom, upstairs, has two twin beds (can be converted to a king bed upon request) plus a twin size daybed and a private bath. The third bedroom, downstairs, is its own private suite with a queen bed and adjoining bathroom with a walk-in shower. A pocket door off the 1/2 bath reveals a large laundry room with Fisher Paykel w/d and is stocked with complementary laundry soap and beach towels during your stay. Flat screen t.v.'s in all rooms along with wireless Internet capability are provided.

The lanai has a beautiful refinished teak wood table and lounge chairs seating 6-8 people. The outside kitchen includes a built-in barbecue, refrigerator, and sink. In addition, a separate private patio off the kitchen awaits for sunbathing, morning coffee or a quiet reading spot.

Private Beach club access, fitness center access, and private (The Villages has THE WARM POOL in Mauna Lani!) pool/spa access, kid friendly.

Why Kathryn chose Puako

Mauna Lani is situated in the heart of the sunny Kohala coast. As past renters in Mauna Lani we found the The Villages to be the perfect combination of resort living (with easy access to it's amenities) yet peaceful and relaxing. The expansive lanais at The Villages invite you to live outside!

We like the privacy of the homes, quality of construction and close proximity to the shops. The Villages' pool has a very nice temperature that is great for kids of all ages!

We enjoy hanging out at the beach club and taking walks through the lava caves and fishponds. We love to play golf and tennis in Mauna Lani!

What makes this house unique

Returning guests to The Villages are pleasantly surprised by how private our unit is. There are no homes looking into our backyard. During the initial phase of construction, a lava wall was built between our unit and the next. We have been told that the cost of this wall became too expensive to replicate throughout the development so it is unique to our place! In addition, we think you'll love our home because of the open layout to the large private lanai and yard. Our home is professionally decorated with Tommy Bahama furniture and soothing paint colors- Resort furniture can be aesthetic but uncomfortable, we have the perfect mix of aloha with the added benefit of the most comfortable sectional couch you will ever lounge on! We want you to feel at home while on your vacation in paradise!

You'll enjoy the quick walk to the shops for the newspaper in the morning and the short stroll to the pool. We provide 4 Tommy Bahama beach chairs, 2 cruiser bikes and beach/pool toys for our guests to use.

Beautiful, spacious, wonderfully supplied townhouse in Kohala

Oh! We had such a marvelous time staying at The Big Island Pad! It was the perfect location on the Kona coast, enabling easy access to fabulous beaches, sights, and activities. The complex pool was just a few steps always and was lovely and warm. The beach at private beach club, a short 5-minute drive away, was FANTASTIC, with great snorkeling and swimming. A big grocery store and several great restaurants were just steps away. The unit itself was spacious and beautifully appointed, and the kitchen was better equipped than my own. The pantry staples like spices and olive oil were very much appreciated! We mentioned a few small maintenance issues (closet light not working, slow-draining sink) and that very day the handyman took care of them. I would recommend The Big Island Pad to anyone wanting the perfect home base for Kona!

Great Family Vacation!

There were many things to love about this lovely condo. Perfect home for a family vacation. I flew over from Bellingham to visit my brother and his family of 7, plenty of room for all of us. The location is great, there is an upscale grocery store within a two minute walk. The Shops at Mauna Lani are next to the grocery store. Great coffee shop, Tommy Bahamas and The Blue Room have fabulous cocktails and appetizers. The private beach club is wonderful and a short drive from the condo. Be sure to see the black sand beach one day its just before the beach club. My niece and I found a great walking path and morning yoga on the beach in front of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel. (free parking) Major hotels are close if you wish to enjoy a cocktail at sunset. The pool/hot tub are just around the corner. The property is beautiful and very well-maintained and there isn't a single amenity missing. All equipment is provided for snorkeling, picnicing and sitting on the beach. We were extremely pleased with this condo and impressed with the customer service from the owner. The website gives a pretty good representation of the unit. This was a lovely place to be with family can't wait until their next Spring Break!

We stayed at this lovely property while attending a conference at the Orchid. It was perfect for our needs, beautiful, spacious and had everything we could need. Loved the fact that the cute little grocery store was just right around as well. Thanks Kathryn for sharing your property. It's good to be home but I miss cocktail hour on your Lani🍷🌴

Heaven at the Mauna Lani

This was the perfect place to celebrate a milestone birthday. It exceeded our expectations! The town home was beautiful and fully equipped with everything we could want and need to make our vacation so wonderful. All of Kathy's recommendations were spot on. I'd have to say our favorite was The Pesto Cafe. Excellent food and service! We loved having the grocery store, coffee shop, dining establishments and shopping so close. We covered a lot of ground while on the island and felt the location of the Mauna Lani was perfect.

I'd recommend the Big Island Pad to anyone traveling to the big island. It was a trip full of great times and lasting memories.

Our place is walking distance to all Mauna Lani's amenities. The Spa including fitness/tennis center with lap pool and exercise classes, tennis courts, pedestrian walkways. Private beach club access and discounted golf for guests at Mauna Lani. We are the closest accommodation

without being right next to or hearing The Shops at Mauna Lani! The gourmet grocery store is quick walk with free hula shows offered on Monday and Thurs. evenings! Ruth Chris' Steak House, Monstera and Tommy Bahama cafe and Just Tacos means variety when choosing your dining experience at The Shops.
