Room 520 was spectacular. It had both an ocean and mountain view, which made the stay feel extra special. The two-bedroom layout worked perfectly for our family of four—the kids loved sharing the room with the twin beds, and we enjoyed having the king bedroom. The room was thoughtfully equipped with chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys, which made our beach days easy and fun. Those little extras really added to the experience. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Highly recommend for families with kids

Great experience staying at Honua Kai with 2 little ones. We enjoyed the multiple pool options, beach access, barbecue and good location. The facility is clean, and the management is extremely responsive. We got our questions answered in minutes. The room was clean and well equipped, including beach toys and chairs, and unlimited access to beach and pool towels.

This room was absolutely perfect. The balcony was huge and offered a view of the mountains and ocean. It was clean and comfortable. There are water toys and chairs in the closet and the beds were comfortable. The resort is beautiful and has 4 pools. We had the best time!

KBM Manager is very good.

This was our first time using KBM to book a hotel and it was a very easy and hassle free experience. The room we rented was a corner unit and had amazing views of the ocean and mountains. It came fully equipped with beach gear, sand toys, pack and play, wagon, etc. Definitely made the trip more fun and memorable.

Pretty happy with this facility

Very clean and well stocked as far as kitchen equipment. The ice maker did not work and were only supplied with one set of bath towels and dryer not adequate for drying towels. Resolved this problem by using the hotel Beach towels. There were absolutely no cooking supplies like cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc., which is fine but would be good to know before arriving. Beds were very comfortable, but could have used several extra blankets as raining and cool the first five days of our trip. Concierge with KBM very helpful. Swimming pools really geared more for families with small children.

Excellent Rental Unit

This was a great rental experience! The unit was just as described and the property management was great to deal with and made the process easy to check in and out. The only minor note is that the pull out couch bed in this particular condo has definitely seen better days and could use replacing, but it functioned satisfactorily for the kids to sleep on during our stay. Otherwise, great location and great layout of space which we thoroughly enjoyed during our time on Maui.

Good time!

This is my 4th time in Maui this time I went with my husband, my brother and my sister in law. We had a great time the place was spacious in a pretty quiet location the only thing I suggest is the cleaning needs more improvement the dryer it’s not drying and the beds and pillows are not too comfortable but overall we enjoyed. Property management did a great job on following up!

HKH 520 was a beautiful condo

HK 520 was a beautiful condo and the Honua Kai resort was ideal for a family of 5 with kids 6 and under. Great beach, fun pools, tons of kids for instant friends. Parking was more convenient than any other resort we've visited, and plenty of stores, restaurants, etc nearby. KBM was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. It was really helpful that baby amenities and beach toys were supplied in the unit. The L'occitane bath products were a nice perk :).

H520 is nicely decorated, very clean and in great condition

H520 is a wonderful 2br, 2 ba, corner unit that is nicely decorated , very clean,in great condition, and a unit I would highly recommend. This is the third time we have stayed at the Honua Kai (last year was similar unit directly above H520) and really enjoyed the extra large balcony facing south with a partial view of the ocean on the west side. The units facing east( mountain view ) get enormous amounts of wind and it's hard to enjoy any meal, at anytime because of it. The air condioner and ceiling fans were fantastic.

Amazing rental

This was the best experience I have had!!! Communication was wonderful and the staff is so nice! The facility was clean and right on the beach couldn’t have asked for a better location. The room was amazing loved the rap around balcony sitting there and enjoying my coffin the morning perfect way to start the day!

Honua Kai has been our go-to location on Maui for 3 years running and this trip did not disappoint. Fantastic condo, outstanding service, wonderful view, excellent food and drink (Dukes Kuaui Tais we’re amazing) and of course the time of our life at the pool and the beach. Our place was nicely located and very clean. Totally recommend this property. The only thing that really killed our stay were the excursiones. It would have been helpful to know that we needed to organize our own transportation. Especially for the zip lining tour that was an hour and a half away. The taxi cost more than the excursion. Very disappointing. The zip lining place said never to book through the resort. They aren’t very informative. They are right.

Honua Kai is a great place for kids.

The unit is located close to the elevator with good views of the ocean and expansive views of the mountains. The lanai is huge and you get tons of afternoon sunlight. The condo was well stalked with everything you need. I would say my only complaints were that the carpet was pretty soiled and needs to be cleaned better or replaced. And the beeping of delivery trucks backing infor delivery below the unit is a bit obnoxious at early and late hours. I would still recommend the unit and kbm.
