Ask a questionAbout Gail McLain
Originally from Lancaster County, PA. However, Estes Park has been our home for the last 45 years. I grew up in a wonderful family of artists and musicians, who imprinted my love for creativity. I've been involved in high school youth and young career groups, young career groups, ministry in Argentina and South Africa. I treasure people of all ages, especially seniors and youth... thus my involvement with senior home care: Dementia/ Alzheimer, Hospice, and those with special needs at our local school. The description of the Danish term; "hygge' describes my desire to create a place of respite and peace! I have a passion to see people set free from the stressors of life, reconnect to the desires of their hearts and deepen relationships with their family & friends. Come share my home! p.s. "hygge" ...creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people. The warm glow of candlelight is "hygge"!
Why Gail McLain chose Grand Estates
The property offers both a quiet respite, but also fun activities within walking distance. The eastern morning sun filters into the music room for a delightful time of tea as you view the lake, often with kayaks catching the calm waters. From the beautiful view of Lake Estes to spring feed lily ponds, to a lovely golden aspen grove in the fall, to playing a game of volleyball under a full moon, watching the stars by the fire pit, to sitting by a warm cozy fire during a quiet snow fall with a mug of hot mulled cider in hand all offers a delightful respite. On the other hand, we are in walking distance to various eateries, whiskey distillery, sports venues and Estes Park's infamous downtown festivals and activities. The Rocky Mountain National Park is within 10 minutes for hiking, picnics, photography and rock climbing. My home is a place for small corporate retreats, staff retreats, friends retreat, college roommate reunions and even wife get a ways!!!
What makes this House unique
I love the warmth my home offers...each bedroom is named after a translation of 'Beloved'... from Hebrew to Yiddish. I appreciate the various living areas to play games, laugh together, quietly read or have heart to heart talks. Besides the elk and deer feel at home here, as they constantly meander thru the property!
