Suds & Sand, walk to Brewery or Drive to the Beach
Beautiful, completely restored 3 bedroom 2.5 bath in Downtown Milton. Originally built in 1820. Dogfish Head Brewery is a 15 minute walk or 4 minute drive. Lewes Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park are approximately 20 minutes away. This home features, a huge soaking tube in the master bath, 2 screened in porches, a large private backyard with plenty of parking. Enjoy corn hole and ping pong while sipping on your favorite beverage. The living area has a large sectional couch, gas fireplace and 55 inch Smart TV and Apple TV. The kitchen features a gas commercial cooking range and granite countertops with sky lights and exposed beams. The side deck is ideal for grilling on the Webber Baby Q Grill. There are also 3 bikes, a 2 person kayak, and beach chairs available for your use. Great kayaking is less than a mile away. There is also great Bass fishing at Wagamonds Pond, which is a 5 minute walk. By summers end I should have a cozy fire pit area completed.

This was a girls weekend away with my mom and aunt. The house is a historical home in Milton. It’s like stepping back in time with all updated amenities. The kitchen was spacious and true chefs kitchen with all the extras. We didn’t cook but there had all the utensils and dishwater for cooking a full meal! The living room with the spacious sectional couch was our morning hang out with coffee. There was an abundance of throw pillows and blankets to lounge and talk. All bedrooms were decorated nicely with very comfortable beds and bedding. All rooms had extra throw blankets and pillows in the closet. We were supplied with more than enough bath towels for our stay. Walking distance to downtown for dinner at Irish Eyes and the shops downtown. Gava for breakfast was delicious. Easy check in and out. The owner supplies above and beyond on items to get you started. Nice touch with the hand soaps in bathrooms, dish soap, and the paper towels with kitchen towels! Wonderful visit and top notch VRBO!
The house is beautiful and on a quiet street within waking distance of restaurants, bars, and Dogfish Head Brewery. Highly recommend and we will stay there again next time we're in the area.
Great old house in very convenient location. Easy walk to restaurants and nice village with a couple oi shops. Easy drive to beaches in the Lewes area and to Rehobeth. We have already reserved same time next year. Property owner was responsive to the few problems we had.
John was very easy to communicate with and ensured our stay was great. We had a great Christmas, spending the week here. It was pretty cool seeing the historical home and updates.
The house was perfect for our family of five. There was plenty of space, comfortable spots to hang out, as well as a kitchen full of all that we needed. The house was close enough to all of the major DE beaches but far enough away from all of the traffic and hub-bub. We also walked to the ice cream shop and Irish pub that was a short distance away. It's a quiet and cute town! We would definitely come back again!
House has great location and is very comfortable. 20 minutes from Lewes beach. Great for family. Walkable distance to ice cream shop, cafe shop . Easy to reach the owner. Planning to go back.
Great stay in a historic, charming home. Beautiful home within walking distance to great restaurants. This home has plenty of size and was very comfortable for me and my family- including the pups! Would definitely return.
The house was very clean and in the perfect location for us. Parking and check in was a breeze and on top of that, the host was incredibly quick to answer any questions or help in any way possible. When we come back we will absolutely be renting this location out again. Would highly recommend staying here!
What a wonderful, relaxing week with the family. We loved the historic vibe and location. John was a great host. If you're looking for a respite off the beaten path, this is the place for you.
We all loved the Suds and Sand home. It was very clean and tidy. Spacious so we werent getting in each other's way. The beds upstairs weren't very comfortable and not the sizes listed in the description. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful getaway with just a few glitches that the owner helped us to solve. The house is a one-of-a-kind place that offers loads of extras and plenty of comfort.
Historic home Was very nice and comfortable. Close to walk into town. Needs upkeep on out side deck screen doors and dog pen area. Overall very nice and had a good stay.
We stayed here with our 2 kids (age 9 and 6). The house is beautiful and had everything we needed. There is a grocery store close by for any necessities, an ice cream store right up the street, and some nice restaurants within a walkable distance or short drive. Milton itself is a quiet town but it’s within 20-30 minutes of Rehoboth, Dewey, and Lewes so we were able to fit a lot in during the day and come back to a quiet space in the evening. Would definitely recommend!

Great place, cute town!
Nice property in a very walkable cute town, enjoyed our stay. 30 mins to Rehoboth. Great for families. Be forewarned, air conditioning is only on the second level. Temps were low at night during our stay or we would have been in a bad way (our kiddo doesn't sleep well if she's hot).
An absolutely charming home in an adorable neighborhood. A few minutes walk to the little downtown with quaint shops, pubs, and The Milton Theatre. We loved our stay!!! What a fabulous rental. The family room is ideal for game-playing and being all together- the large TV was fabulous for watching March Madness :-). The kitchen is fully equipped, the bedrooms are comfy and pretty, and the bathrooms are modern and extremely clean. Check-in couldn't be easier! Thank you, John, for the perfect rental!! We definitely will be spreading the word about this gem in Milton, DE!!

I live in Annapolis most of the time, but my kids primarily live and go to school in Milton. I needed a house close to them so I figured I would rent it while not in town.
Why they chose this property
I just loved the location and the original hardwood floors from 1820.
