We enjoyed our stay at the rental. The view was beautiful, the gardens lovely! Lots of outdoor space to enjoy. Comfy beds, hot showers and spacious living space. We liked the convenience of the washer/dryer. The decor was fabulous and fun. Many interesting things and lovely paintings. Virgil and Karen were very good people and super attentive to our needs. We would love to return some day.

My friends and I booked the house for a quick weekend getaway to snowboard and absolutely loved it. The host was communicative, attentive, and so generous. The place itself was spotless with lots of space, cozy fires, and had everything you needed to accommodate a group. We loved all the little touches of the house and overall, I would definitely plan to stay here again! I recommend Virgil's house to anyone needing a quiet place to unwind and gather with friends/family.

First of all, we were a few minutes early but they graciously let us in and started explaining things we’d need to know. Very kind people. Secondly, the photos in the description don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful inside and out! There’s so much to look at and take in from the many paintings, antiques, nostalgic items everywhere. I could have spent a week just talking with them about everything including the history of the home itself and never become bored! It’s rare to find places such as this. Everything was comfortable. Showers worked great. Outdoor shower off of our master bath as well! Seeing the deer and turkey,……the fire pit area was fantastic. So well constructed and unique. Loved it. The hot tub was HEAVEN on our older joints!!!! It was very clean!!! Well stocked kitchen as far as pot/pans, utensils etc. The decks are all great too because no matter what time of day you’re out, morning coffee off the front room, afternoon cocktail on the large upper deck, or stargazing underneath on the smaller patio outside our master suite which is such a lovely, big well designed room! The little garden shed and garden area was so sweet! The small Adirondack chairs for kids,….. the woodwork, just everything! We’d love to go back again! Fall will be spectacular for anyone lucky enough to go as well as a winter wonderland when the snow flies! It’s a beautiful, welcoming home! Thank you for sharing it with us, it was just what the doctor ordered‼We hope to see you again!

Perfect getaway! The owner was very friendly and helpful. The home is secluded but still only 15 minutes from groceries, Wal-Mart etc…, The home was very well stocked and the mountain views were great. It was very peaceful and just what we needed to relax.

We had a wonderful stay! We booked last minute and were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The house is spacious and comfortable, with beautiful decks and stunning views. We especially loved the extra touches—the hot tub, fire pits, and grills made our time even more enjoyable. Such a beautiful property and great hosts—we will definitely stay again! This was our third visit to Blue Moon and just as enjoyable as the last two. It’s a lovely house in a bucolic setting, with nice views to the west. Very spacious. The host is a classic car fan and if you’re lucky you might find one of his collection parked at the house.

Well-furnished vacation home

This was the second time we have stayed there for a nearby family reunion, and we will be back! It's a lovely house on a hill with a great view of the sunset. Nice for a group, with its four double or queen beds. Outdoor grill, firepit and picnic table are a plus.

This home was perfect for us. We got in late and it was warm and welcoming. It was clean and comfortable. The location of the home was perfect.We were able to go many places in Vermont and New Hampshire. All the places we wanted to visit. The property was beautiful with a flock of wild turkeys visiting in the morning. Virgil, our host was very informative about how to get there and some ideas to go. We plan on going back again and have more of the family join us. Couldn't ask for a better vacation place to stay.

Great stay in rural Vermont

Had a wonderful time in a lovely home. Tucked away in Vermont in a secluded setting but not to far from modern conveniences. Would def recommend this place for families wanted to get away from dodge. Thanks for letting us share in you wonderful home.

Our stay at Once in a Blue Moon was incredible! We got a snowy, wintry weekend, and the house was so cozy and so private-our group and our dogs absolutely loved it! It was the recharging time we needed, and we couldn’t have been more impressed!

Wonderful weekend getaway in Ryegate!

A few friends and I stayed at this property to celebrate one of our birthdays, and it was such a wonderful time! The property is so unique and cozy, with tons of space for us to spread out. A Magical Place

If your idea of a nice vacation is serenity and relaxation, this farmhouse is amazing. Watching the sunset from the back porch, with the deer grazing in front of you made for amazing evenings. The owner and caretaker were great to work with. We will be returning.

Incredible Home

This is indeed a very large, extremely well equipped, comfortable home with an attentive host in an isolated area surrounded by meadows and forest. The home, the linen the towels, etc. were all very clean. Everyone in our group loved this charming home and we would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful property with plenty of space

Had a great time with our teenagers at Virgil's property. It was quiet and peaceful, and the house had everything we needed. Extremely clean and comfortable with one-of-a-kind construction.
