Este condominio de vacaciones frente a la playa se encuentra en Destin Florida a lo largo de la Costa Esmeralda. Fun-filled (and Pricey) Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Islander. Our condo, 701, was spacious, well-equipped, and had a beautiful oceanfront view. We enjoyed the included beach chairs and umbrella, the two pools and the pickleball court during our 7-night stay. We also took advantage of the easily accessible luggage and grocery carts. This was our first time at both the Islander and Destin Beach. We typically vacation at Clearwater or Hilton Head. In comparison to those, we found the Islander's lack of an onsite restaurant, especially near the pool areas, and other amenities such as a lack of a bicycle rental to be off putting. This was a bit of an inconvenience, and very pricey, as we had to pay for an Uber multiple times throughout the day to dine out and purchase groceries as no restaurants or stores were within walking distance. We will definitely rent a car should we vacation there again. The cost of a rental car would have been less expensive than the $75 (plus tip) shuttle cost from the airport and again for the return, and the daily Uber costs. We were also disappointed that there were no children's activities during our stay last week. A "Children's Program" was in the promotional language, and I also asked about it directly when I called the Property's Front Desk. During that conversation, I was given a description and dates of the children's activities. When I asked about them on arrival, I was told the children's program was no longer being offered. Overall, we had a wonderful stay! We enjoyed the white sandy beach. ideal weather, made new friends, relaxed, and feasted on delicious fresh seafood.

Family Vacation

Everything was just as described except no matter how many times I tried to connect the WiFi to the living room tv it would not work. So the kids had to look at tv in the rooms only. It was quick access to the beach and not far from the stores to pick up all the things we forgot. Overall it was a good stay

Destin Vacation 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my 4th summer vacation at the Islander. I had become a VIP loyalty member as I loved staying there the past few summers. I loved staying in unit 701 which was always very nice, clean and updated and has a wonderful view of the ocean. The beach service was always tops. Staff are friendly and helpful. My only disapointment this time was the huge 25% increase of renting the same property for September 2023. I was told at check out, the equivalent of almost double rate for September 2023. I decided not to reserve and put down my deposit. I can understand a 5% increase but I was told 25% and what my total would be. I was shocked. Sad to say but I will now be looking for a different condo location to spend my vacation next year September 2023.

The view is excellent, but I wouldn't consider it a platinum rental. It has been updated, but not up to the standards of many of the other units we've stayed in. Some of the fixtures were very old and starting to rust, the fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen worked part of the time, I had maintenance come up to service it and it was still on the blink. The stove and refrigerator were just basic low level appliances. There was a lot of dirt dust in the louvered door to the AC unit. We had an issue with cockroaches in this unit.

Condo was clean and decorated nicely a couple of issue in the unit was the dishwasher was missing the bottom rack and actually didn’t work. In the master bathroom the shower door did not work properly she the track was dirty. Behind the dresser was not clean had some sort of nut shells. The common area particularly in the elevator area and elevator itself was not clean. Sane trash in the elevator for days. Laundry room was really dirty really didn’t even like doing clothes there.

Our unit #701, had a few issues, and it would have been nice to know about them ahead of time so we could prepare better. One of the stove burners didn't work (front left). The dishwasher wasn't working (maintenance was waiting on a part), and the left sink in the master bathroom was clogged and couldn't be used. Love the new pickleball courts, and the whole family had a good time playing. Alan was excellent as always, as was the rest of the staff.

Super clean and updated kitchen, bedrooms, baths and the most wonderful view from the veranda. End unit is quiet and being on the top floor there was NO noise from other guest condo renters. I highly recommend staying at the Islander. The staff are friendly and always happy to assist you, the private beach area for guest is very nice with easy gated access. This is my 3rd consecutive vacation here and I’ve not been disappointed.
