Fantastic and Bright Apartment in the Heart of Gothic area 10 min from the beach

Great 70 m² apartment with lots of natural light that consists of 4 exterior balconies, living-dining room with 1 comfortable double sofa bed, two double bedrooms (one of them en suite), kitchen and 2 complete bathrooms with shower. Apartment is in an old building typical of the Gothic quarter. Both have been recently renovated. The modern and beautiful decoration of the apartment combines perfectly with the old style of the building. The building is accessed from Ripoll Street but the apartment and the main façade face the Plaza dels Peixos (Fish Square). The apartment is completely exterior with four balconies that face the street, it is a 2nd floor with lots of natural light. In its rehabilitation, all the original architectural elements were respected. Public parking very close to the apartment (Avinguda de la Catedral). The building where the apartment is located is right next to the Gothic cathedral of Barcelona, just 500 meters from the port and its adjacent beaches. Due to its unique location, it is not necessary to use any type of transport, being a 5-minute walk from Las Ramblas and Plaça Catalunya. Most of the museums and most important attractions are accessible on foot, however the main Bus and Metro lines are located right next to the apartment. It does not have an elevator like most of the old buildings in the Gothic quarter.




The city of Barcelona has a tourist tax of 5€ per person/ day to be paid in cash on arrival at the apartment.


* If the arrival is later than 20:00h, there will be a surcharge of 30 € to be paid in cash on arrival.
**If the arrival is later than 00:00h, there will be a surcharge of 50€ to be paid in cash at the time of arrival.

The location of the apartment was very central and most things were easily walkable. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. There were 3 small balconies off the apartment. We loved it as it suited our needs. The apartment was clean and spacious. Coffee shops and restaurants just around the corner. If there were any negatives they would be the stairs coming up to the apartment. Yes, we were aware of the stairs but they were rather steep and narrow and since we were on a 3 week trip we had luggage. We felt like we were in a very safe area and could spend a lot of time wandering through the streets, just looking at the old buildings. The “kiss” mural is only a few steps awayI would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay here again if given the opportunity to come back to Barcelona. I wish our stay could have been longer

What a great place in a fantastic location. The unit was clean, good layout, had AC, Wifi and Fans in bedrooms. Bathroom were large, modern and super clean. The digital locks were great as you didnt have to worry about a key at anytime.

Bright and clean apartment close to everything

We had a great stay and enjoyed the apartment. It can get noisy at night, especially during holidays, but was well worth it to be able to access so many great destinations, shops, and attractions easily. Would definitely recommend it!

Amazing Stay in Gothic Quarter

Our family of four had an amazing stay in Barcelona! The location of this property was perfect! A short walk to Las Ramblas, and around the corner from the Cathedral of Barcelona!We couldn’t have been happier with the property and the terrific communication from the team! We would definitely stay here again!

Gothic quarter location

Incredible location walking distance from Ramblas, metro stations, beautiful cathedrals, tons of restaurants, Mercado Boqueria, Parc Ciutadella and more! Lovely apartment with lots of windows and light. Thoroughly enjoyable for a short stay and to see the sights in wonderfully pedestrian-friendly Barcelona.

Great location in heart of Gothic Quarter

The apartment was well located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The apartment was up a steep flight of stairs, but was well appointed and clean.On the weekend there was quite a bit of street noise from people bar hopping, but nothing unexpected when you stay in a central location like this.

Beautiful space, unbeatable location.

We had a great time here. It was warm, cozy, and the perfect hideaway after big busy days exploring Barcelona. Only on one night was the noise from people partying outside disruptive, otherwise it was quite quiet. The location cant be beat!

Cozy Apartment close to Everything!

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was perfect for a family of four adults. We were on the second floor. Just be aware there is no elevator and the stairs are steep. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The check in was smooth and getting in and out of the apartment was very easy with the app!

Time in Barcelona

The property was nice & clean, but it did not have a dishwater, which by today’s standards is really not acceptable. It was in a fantastic location very noise, but that is Barcelona, and we were good with that. The checkin process was terrible, information provided very late, I was getting stressed we were on our way with no details. Security was activated by mobile phone, which I found a little stressful so we had to plan our day around ensuring the phone did not run out of charge, in a new city that is difficult. The host advised they needed to get into the apartment to fix the internet on 2 consecutive days, but there was nothing wrong with it that I could see. On one evening an alarm went off at around 1am, we were not asleep but we were already in the apartment for over an hour. It kept going off for ages, I thought it must have been a fire alarm. We called the host who then turned it off. We also then noticed there were sensors in the place including the bedroom with cameras in them. Great stay in Barcelona, could have done without the alarm in the house.

Excellent Gothic Quarter Location

The apartment is in the heart of the Gothic quarter with and easy walk to the Cathedral and La Rambla. I enjoyed the street views from the balconies and being in the heart of Barcelona. My only recommendation is that the apartment is not suited for individuals with knee, leg or hip issues, since there is no elevator, and several flights of stairs need to be climbed to reach the apartment.

Few nights in Barcelona

The apartment is really nice. Fantastic location. Host is great. There are stairs to the apartment. No elevator. Bedrooms are comfortable. Very close to restaurants, Tapas and good shopping. Great location. Nice place.

Adorable place that is centrally located.

We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment, although tiny, had everything we needed. It was clean and centrally located to many places of interest. The hosts were wonderful and even allowed us to check in early. The only thing you need to be aware of is that the second floor is actually a third floor for Americans. The stairway was thin, but doable. Also there is an awesome tapas restaurant right across from the entrance.

Great central location

We enjoyed the location and the information in the listing was an accurate and most review comments should be believed. We were there during Merce 24 festival, and street noise from the events could be loud as crowds dispersed, but proximity to venues was great. Would stay again

Great location but noisy

Apartment is located in great area of the city with easy access to everything. It was very clean and office staff were very helpful and accommodating. The apartment itself is in an old building, and is far from soundproof. If you need something quiet this is not the place for you. Also, as it is an old building, they do not recommend drinking the tap water, so you will have to buy some at the market which is a quick couple of minutes away. If stairs and an issue, our apartment (which was on the 2nd floor) had 42 steps to climb in a narrow staircase. If those things don’t bother you however, it is a good, economical place to stay.

Great location

Apartment and location were as advertised. Comfortable bed, nice apartment kitchen and very good and needed air conditioning. The area is good for young couples. The owners are new. We did not receive check in instructions but the prior owner’s phone was still on the listing and luckily he answered and shared the new owners contact info. They promptly answered and gave us good instructions. We also had a problem leaving the building at 5am due to a locked exit door but the new owners said they are correcting the problem.
