Welcome to The Lux @ Ryedale House - A stylishly presented 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property that's just perfect for a trip to York.

The Lux sits on the 4th floor and has been finished to a very high standard internally. The new owners have also provided new luxurious premium beds in December 2024!

Ryedale House is an exclusive, private development in the heart of York's historic core beside the River Foss. The building benefits from secure allocated parking on-site.

With touches of interior design throughout, every aspect has been carefully thought through. Whether you are in York for a theatre break, a race weekend or just as a special treat for you and your family or friends, The Lux has been designed to ensure that you have a comfortable, stylish base from which to head out into York. There's plenty of seating in the lounge area on the stunning "peacock green" sofa, this is coupled with a wall mounted Smart TV, so you can enjoy your down time, whether it is an evening in or pre dinner drinks, there is room for everyone.

The kitchen area has been designed to the highest standards and features premium Neff appliances throughout, complimented by the breakfast bar and a dining area which seats 4 for dinner.

The high quality wooden floors throughout the apartment also have the added benefit of underfloor heating.

The bedrooms feature a super-king bed and a king-sized bed which can split into twin beds, one comes with an en suite with underfloor heating and walk in shower. Providing everyone with the space and comfort to get themselves ready for their days, and nights in York.

The apartment also has the added benefit of an allocated, secure car park space on-site.

The Lux Best apartment

The Lux apartment lives up to its name. We have stayed in many apartments but this is by far the best, we didnt want to leave & all wanted to live there. We will be booking again soon for next year, cant wait.

Had a wonderful stay apartment was great very comfortable seating. Great to have an en-suite, only downside was that it could do with a shelf in the shower as there was nowhere to put shower gel, shampoo etc..Otherwise couldn’t fault it.

Fab location

Neat apartment in an ideal location. Perfect for a stay in the city. Basic kitchen implements sufficient if you want to eat in but so easy to book a local restaurant. Fantastic as parking is on site - major bonus. Some minor noise outside as it can get busy with people passing early evening and if windows are open but not a problem later on when sleeping. Beds were a bit too firm for us personally but each to their own.

Lovely flat. Great location. The main bathroom smelt badly of damp which was why I guess there were strong diffusers in the hall. Couldn’t see where the smell was coming from and I guess because it will be a major job to remove the tiled floor/shower tray and when do you do the work when the flat is fully booked?

Handy Location for Visiting York

Modern apartment on 4th floor of Ryedale House, all shops and most attractions were within a 30 minute walk. Apartment was well equipped although we couldn't find any scissors! Helpful concierge on check-in.

Beautiful apartment in great location

We stayed as a family of 4 adults. The apartment was really beautiful, very bright a super layout. Everything in the living/kitchen area was just perfect. The not so positive would be the bedrooms. The mattress on both beds was truly awful, a very cheap foam like mattress and none of us slept well either nights due to this. Because if this we would choose one of the other Stays York apartments in the same building as we have stayed in 2 others that weren’t available for our dates and they had extremely comfortable beds and we all had a blissful sleep in those. The hairdryer in the main bedroom isn't working properly, it's blowing cold air on all settings, thankfully both bedrooms had its own hairdryer so I was able to use the one from our sons bedroom and it worked fine. That’s just a note for the management company so they can replace this. To sum things up - would we stay in 407 again? Yes we would in a heartbeat if we knew that the mattresses had been replaced, they truly let the otherwise luxurious feel of the apartment down. If they weren’t replaced then no we wouldn’t choose to stay in apartment 407 again unfortunately.
