Cozy Second Floor Unit in Oceanfront Condominiums

Just steps to the beach, Colony by the Sea Condominiums are conveniently nestled oceanfront in Duck. Away from the main road, they offer privacy, yet are in walking distance to the Sound side of the Island and the little town of Duck. Colony by the Sea is a favorite for guests of all ages.

Wee Duck Inn is a cozy second floor unit, clean and nicely furnished, offering great views of the ocean and courtyard. It is perfect for a couple or small family. Our kitchen has been renovated, offering new cabinets, counter tops, flooring and fixtures. The bedroom is freshly painted with newly installed carpet, offering a queen-size bed, 26' flat screen TV, and a full master bath. The bunk beds in the hall alcove are perfect for children & located next to a second smaller full bath. Both baths have been partially remodelled. The living area has new flooring and has been freshly painted. The large living room allows for very comfortable accommodations, offering new furniture, a queen sleep sofa and two swivel chairs, 42' flat screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, and DVD player. There is a book and DVD library and some games. Free WIFI. A fully equipped kitchen includes all major appliances and every small appliance you will need for dining in. The private balcony is perfect for relaxing or dining outside. Charcoal Grills are located in the courtyard.

Our condo is tastefully decorated with beach decor.

The view of the ocean is breathtaking from the second floor balcony, which is furnished with a patio table and chairs for the outside casual dining experience, and rockers for relaxing while looking out over the courtyard and ocean.

The complex features: oceanfront pool; charcoal grills w/picnic area; coin operated laundry facility ground level under each building; playground area, and tennis; ocean front pool; beachside showers & restroom.

Our unit is a non smoking unit. We do not allow pets in our unit.

The condo was located in Duck, NC. The ocean can be seen from the balckny. Shops and restaurants are walkable, or just a very, very short car ride away.

We had a wonderful time at this condo! It was adorable and had everything stocked in the kitchen that we needed! The location was perfect ( we were there during the tropical storm and had no issues!)Gwen was a fantastic host! We look forward to visiting Wee Duck Inn again!

The condo was the perfect size for our family of 4. The unit was clean and updated and the welcome bag was the perfect surprise to kick off our stay. Drinking our morning coffee on the deck watching the water was amazing. It was an easy walk to the beach (less than a 5 minute walk from door to sand) and we will happily stay again while the kiddos are little. The Vincent’s know how to create the best stay for their guest!

Cya next year

We loved our stay at Wee Duck Inn! The condo was in a perfect location for an easy walk to the beach and a longer walk to the boardwalk if you’re interested. We are both runners and enjoyed running along the path with other runners/cyclists (there’s even a açaí bowl stop close by). Gwen is a gracious and communicative host and we can’t wait to be back :)

Amazing place

Location is great, check in was seamless and easy. Communication with host was quick and easy. View from the balcony was beautiful. Place was very clean had everything we would ever need provided especially in the kitchen. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Overall Great

Overall it's a great condo and property. It is in the middle floor, which is hard if you have young kids, and trying to be respectful of the people below and above. Overall I didn't hear much above or below, but you can hear if one side or the other is being super loud. The only real thing I did not like about this condo, was the internet, would constantly kick you off, and you'd have to resign in. When trying to do some work in the morning from a computer that was hard. Other than that a great place and would stay again.

Stay in 210

Having stayed in 5 different units at Colony by the Sea over the past 4 years, Gwen’s 210 “Wee Duck Inn” was by far the cleanest, nicest and most comfortably furnished, and best ocean/beach decor of all. We would choose to stay there again, no question.

Everything about this condo was perfect! Very clean, location was close to beach, beautiful view, and really enjoyed the reserved parking spot. The kitchen was stocked with everything we might have needed to cook with. My kids loved the selection of movies and games as well!

Relaxing vacation

Cute condo in Duck. Nicely furnished with a beach theme. All appliances and dishes are available for use. Comfortable bed! Close to the beach. The pool looked clean but too chilly to try it. We went to Corolla, Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills as well as Roanoke Island. Appreciated the quiet area. Would definitely go back!

Very accommodating host; very pleasant condo

My husband and I had a relaxed and pleasant stay here. The kitchen, though small, had just about everything we needed. The rooms were all spotless and the balcony, with nice seating, was wonderful. An ocean view too! Thanks for everything, Gwen.

Comfortable getaway.

I think Duck is the best area of the OBX. My wife and daughter stayed here and it was the perfect getaway with the pool and ocean just a minute walk away. Very pleased with the room. Maybe add some extra home items like toilet paper and towels, etc. But overall, very nice and we would stay here again.

Fantastic time away from home

This was the perfect size for just the two of us to enjoy a week at the beach, without having to worry about the coordination of a bunch of friends or family on a large property. Everything was very clean in both the condo and property in general and it was at most a 2-3 minute walk to the beach from the front door. Having 2 full bathrooms was a huge plus and a grill on the property was perfect for dinners. I've never stayed in Duck before now and I'll definitely be staying there again! This street is a 15 minute walk from a ton of restaurants and shops in the town and the town itself, especially the condo, has incredibly friendly people! We had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back!

Perfect spot for a small family

This condo was absolutely the perfect spot for our first trip to Duck. It fit my husband, our 4-year old and I perfectly and had wonderful amenities. The walkway to the beach made getting out on the dunes a cake walk, and the pool with the ocean view was perfect. The condo is also a short, easy walk from the shops and Duck boardwalk. The owner was always quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. If you have a small family or young children, this is the perfect vacation location.

Cannot beat the Wee Duck Inn

Had an amazing time with my family at the Wee Duck Inn. Absolutely perfect size for a small family (2 adults & 2 children). The condo was clean and cozy. The owner was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. The beach and pool was a very easy, short walk from the condo. My family enjoyed everyday we spent here. Will definitely be returning!

Since I was a child, I visited the OBX every summer with my family, and when I married, I introduced my husband to it. He fell in love with the area as much as I always had. Together we purchased Wee Duck Inn as an investment property during the time when our children were off to college. It turned out to be our little get away from lifes everyday routine and struggles. Our children, now married, and our grandchildren, love Wee Duck Inn as much as we do, and go as often as they can. We are so happy we made this choice years ago.

We love Colony by the Sea, and chose this property because of the location to the ocean and the very quaint town of Duck. In the past 15 years, Duck has grown in such a positive way. We enjoy being in Duck at our condo as much as we possibly can, and take pride in maintaining our condo for our family use as well as the use of many guests. We are happy to share our condo with so many who have come back year after year, making memories with their families and even honeymooners. It's just the right size for couples or small families. We have families that have raised their little ones to think of Wee Duck Inn as their summer home away from home, and reading the memories shared each year as the children grow is very heart warming. It's wonderful knowing that we can offer Wee Duck Inn to others to enjoy as much as we do.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Quiet, peaceful and comfortable, yet convenient to everything. Duck offers a mile-long boardwalk with boat launches on the banks of a sound linking restaurants, marsh and forest. Capture the sunset in the evenings while enjoying ice cream and many shops on the boardwalk. A scenic walk for those who enjoy walking. Well maintained and lit at night.
