Glendale Cottage

Absolutely stunning scenery from the rear windows across the Solway Firth and is a truly peaceful retreat. Cottage is well kept, comfortable and has all the comforts of a home away from home with a few added extras. Nearest town is Silloth which is a 40 minute walk or a 10 minute drive away. Sainsburys and Tesco carry out home deliveries to this area as does Marios (a lovely takeaway) in Silloth. The neighbours are very friendly. Although I was advised about the scaffolding being erected during our stay it did detract from the view somewhat.

Both families really enjoyed the stay at the barn owl.

Amazing place and location, warm, clean...

I wasn't able to use the booking because of the Covid19 outbreak here in California but a relative in the UK was able to use it (with Sykes permission - thank you). She said it was "an amazing place, amazing views, warm, and clean, made for a fantastic little break". I'm looking forward to rescheduling my trip and staying there in the future!
