ABOUT THE MEETING HOUSE & THE LAND

The dwelling is a beautifully purpose-built and sustainably architecture octagon-shaped limestone sanctuary, inspired by the Mediterranean.

It is solar passive and on rainwater, north-facing with polished concrete floors that keep it nice and cool in summer and store the warmth in winter, also featuring a central fireplace.
Its hardwood features are derived from local marri timbers and bush poles harvested and milled directly from the land itself.

The meeting house features an established library with hundreds of books, plenty of cozy nooks and overlooks the 35m lavender labyrinth which offers itself up for meditative journeys and mindful wanders along its path.
The outside area features a outdoor dining table setting as well as a woodfired pizza oven.

As a self-catering house, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay:
The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a stove top kettle, a freezer, a large hot water urn (10 ltr) and hot/cold filtered rain water tap.

The mezzanine features four twin sleeping alcoves (two alcoves with two single beds, two with one single and one double in each) and two single alcoves (one single bed per alcove), all divided by sliding timber walls.
Organic cotton bed linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

There are 2 bathrooms.
The first bathroom (downstairs, assessible from deck) has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.
The upstairs bathroom contains the same.

For retreats and speciality groups please enquire within.

This land is the home of so much wondeful wildlife, birds and insects - you may spy local red cockatoos, blue wrens and many more little people call this place home as much as we may.
You have direct access to the neighbouring state forest through a gate.

This land has been chemical-free for over 30 years and we are upping that game by only supplying natural and truly sustainable products adding to your comfort while harmonizing with the Boodja (country) upon which we gather.

The site also features a beautiful yoga shala, with an optional practitioner space. These, as well as private and group classes with our head facilitator and holistic healing practitioner Anna-Lena Kaliyah, Ayurvedic Medicine Consultations, Healing Bodywork Sessions, group or private integrative yoga classes, Sound healing or art therapy sessions and more, are available upon request, at additional fees.

At Shambala Margaret River we hold dedicated space for retreats and speciality groups of varying sizes within the mindful and holistic healing/educational/spiritual fields - inquiry within :)

(please note: any packages for speciality groups or retreats we do not offer via AirBnB due to fees but directly via our website, please come and get in touch via there - you can find Shambala Margaret River via your search engine)
