Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8) All Waterfront
Enjoy our unique property with two cottages(one two bedroom cottage - Holly Ship, and a one bedroom cottage - Bunko). It is perfect for family getaways, couples retreats or any other type of vacation to enjoy the three bedrooms (total between the two cottages) and the spectacular location!
Enjoy both the outstanding view of the spectacular ships of the St. Lawrence River (don't worry, they are quiet!) as well as the plentitude of activities in the Thousand Island Region.
This property is situated on the 'St. Lawrence Narrows' so you can share the water with the great freighters! Off to the left of the cottages is a great swimming area protected by small islands and with a beautiful babbling brook.
In just 5 minutes (by boat or car) you can enjoy Alexandria Bay and one of the many events (1000 Islands Poker Run, Kidrific Weekend, Pirate Weekend, Concerts in the Park...) or take in the scenery of Wellesley Island known for its magnificent nature trails and historic Thousand Island Park.
Bring your boat, dockage on site! It does not get easier than this!
There are 3 immaculate Golf Courses very near this property, one of which is the Thousand Islands Golf Club.
Wake up to a beautiful view of the sun rising over the St. Lawrence and make sure you bring your camera because you will not believe the proximity of the shipping channel. You are sure to be impressed! A perfect vacation destination for you, your family & your friends.
Recent Renovation- new double bed and pine flooring in Bunko, bedroom renovation and new flooring in Holly Ship Cottage.
Ample outdoor space with new 20'x20' Deck giving the compound three different deck spaces to enjoy the view of the incredible waterway.

We hope you enjoy our cottage as much as we do! We love getting way from it all and using only our boat for the time that we spend at Holy Ship. It never gets old to cross over that bridge in anticipation of spending more memorable moments with our kids, and family friends. We love that the water is always refreshing and clear, and that there are no black flies and very few bugs in general on the river due to the flowing water. A true hidden gem, we feel incredibly fortunate to spend time with great family, friends, and neighbors when we are at the cottages!

Why Owner chose Wellesley Island
We love the peacefulness of the water and the privacy of our location with the benefit of great destinations (Clayton or Alex Bay) by boat! The two cottages are also great to spread out a bit on your vacation. The location is perfect, and the view of the shipping channel is priceless.
What makes this Cottage unique
Enjoy fishing off the dock, watching the Herons fly by, kayak in the peaceful creek or just sit on the dock and enjoy the sun (and when the sun goes down, fire up the wood burning hot tub!)

The cottages have a lot of potential. Could really be a cute kitschy place with a little effort. Front cottage has a fantastic view from the front Windows. Kitchen is very serviceable and clean. While the first cottage is sided the second one is peeling paint. Would have taken a day to scrap and paint. Really could use some new Windows you can open. Bathroom shower is redone with a massive walk in shower but tile doesn't meet the floor. No caulk either. No lighting in shower so it's very dark and we saw black mold on walls outside of shower. Did not use that shower. No hooks or shelving in bathrooms to put your stuff. I think they watch too much HGTV and really don't know what they are doing as far as renovation. Deck could have used a good power washing but the deck was nice for watching the big freighters go by.A little work and the place could be great.
Thank you for the Review Carol! Thank you for staying, just to answer a couple concerns the shower is caulked, and fully tiled. Lighting in the shower is dim as we do not have a light in the actual shower but the bathroom is bright with a window and light. Spoke with cleaner about the visibility of mold, he has whipped down walls and cleaned bathroom and cannot detect any.
Great vacation spot with amazing views!!
We have stayed here for many summers and it just gets better each year. The two cottages make it great for families to stay as the kids can have their own space. The new deck has added more seating to enjoy the amazing views of the River!! The owners are great to deal with and it is part of reason why we come back each year. Although, the hot tub is really the number one reason. It is great to sit in and watch the ships. We will be back next year!!
Charming, but basic. Incredible views.
We stayed in waterfront cabin for a week at the end of the summer and had a fantastic time. The Thousand Islands are an incredible place and if you have a boat this cabin is perfect. The waterfront cabin is cozy and practically hangs over the water providing fantastic views all day and night of the river, ships, and bridge. I kept my boat at the dock all week (included in the rent) and was out on the water by 8am most days. The bedrooms and bathroom are tight and you have to bring in drinking water, but the location is ideal and the views are worth the rent alone. The house was clean and well maintained, the owners are very friendly and helpful. We plan to rent here again.
During our visit to Welle...
During our visit to Wellesley Island in June 2009 we stayed in the sunny days cottage and we had a great time!! The view from the cottage was breathtaking. Our kids had fun fishing off the dock and watching the ships pass bye. My husband really enjoyed relaxing in the wood fired hot tub. We will definitely make this an annual family vacation. The owners were so nice to deal with. We would highly recommend this vacation property.
Boat Everywhere. Two dock spaces provide easy docking at Holy Ship. Once on site, your car will no longer be necessary.... Boat to the Price Chopper, ABay, Clayton, potters Beach, Gannanoque, Kingston, Brockville, Rockport.... You can even take your boat to the Thousand Island Country club! Whether just boating out to Devils oven for some cliff jumping, or to Brockville Canada for fish and chips, the point is you can do it all by boat while taking in the incredible beauty of the famous Thousand Island water ways. Docking is free everywhere, and restaurants and souvenirs are very reasonably priced. Come and enjoy the laid back attitude and easy living of the St. Lawrence River.
