Great stay

Its like we were in our own little world. We had a great stay. Lots of fishing. Little bit of swimming. Its on a dead end road away from the world and was just what we needed. The owners were great!

Little slice of Heaven

We were very, very pleased with our stay. Mike has created a fantastic, user-friendly, well maintained site that is the perfect blend of woods, water, maintained trails, and such a wonderful cabin. We are already considering booking another stay. Thank you for such a great getaway.

Fantastic cabin getaway

This is our third visit to the McCormicks Cabin! We love this little off-the-grid cabin in the woods. Just the right place for our family to get away and unplug and enjoy life together. Mike was attentive and great to work with - we will be going back!

Simply beautiful

This spot was truly worth the drive to get there. The cabin itself was very well maintained. A great place to unplug, decompress and have a fun family vacation. Owners were quick to respond to my questions, and I highly recommend.

Off the grid

Beautiful setting. Would’ve been nice to have towels and linens provided. No phone or internet can be seen as a plus or minus. Use of canoes, kayak, row boat was awesome. Very private. Great games

So peaceful

Very nice, as fishermen, my brother and I loved the decor theme of the house. But everyone settled into a great state of relaxation. The lack of internet service turned out to be a key ingredient here - all reported much better sleep. Yes, we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

A wonderful place to stay

We had a great and too-short visit to the McCormick's cabin. It was in a beautiful and calm location and we really enjoyed all of the amenities (wood stove, porch, fire pit, lake, yard and boats), and had almost everything we needed for a shared Thanksgiving dinner. The kids loved the bunk room and the game closet. Mike's communication was excellent. Thank you very much Mike!

amazing fishing, peaceful getaway

this property is so unique and beautiful, it’s private and big. if you’re looking for a retreat where you’re not on top of your neighbors, this is also the place! my husband and boys caught so many fish that they lost count! this has never happened to us before! Mike was so accommodating and kind to greet us. This place truly has it all. I was so worried at fist about not having wifi or cell service but that ended up being just what the doctored ordered. Had a surprise show from some fighter jets training during the week, that was so cool to see. highly recommend!!

The perfect oasis.

My husband and two sons met his brother’s family for a relaxing few days in the woods. The cabin a beautifully situated with a gorgeous view of the lake. We got a lot of use out of the plethora of watercraft, floating dock, amazing fire pit. Mike provided the firewood too! We enjoyed watching a beaver family hard at work every evening. The cabin itself had all the comforts of home
 minus tv and internet..: which was actually perfect since it gave us the opportunity to unplug and unwind. Thank you for a wonderful visit. The owners were helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Great time

I just had a fishing getaway with three friends here and it was just about perfect. The owners were friendly and made the whole process smooth. They clearly take pride in taking care of this place. The cabin was the perfect blend of nice and comfortable. There’s good parking and easy access to boats and docks. There are a number of pretty places to just sit and be, rejoicing in the fact your phone is now just a camera. Some people might not like the no-WiFi bit, but I loved it. That’s why you’re going away to a lake. Oh. And the fishing was fantastic. Bring lots of 1/4 oz jig heads and two inch Mister Twisters. Nice cabin. I’d go back for sure.

Unplugged retreat

We really enjoyed our vacation at this cabin. We had no reception which was exactly what we hoped for, unplugged and peaceful. Beautiful Lake views every morning followed by full days of water fun. My kids really loved the paddle Boat and jumping off the floating dock. With the darkness and gravel road, we opted to cook dinner at the cabin each night, and then enjoy s’mores at the fire pit.

Fun and Relaxation

Remote, but still plenty to do. The kids had a blast with the docks and swimming and boating. Everyone had a good time and fun fishing. Board games were nice for evening entertainment. Leave the electronics at home and enjoy nature and each other. Had to leave early so didn't get to use everything, but there were horseshoes and a basketball net as well. We'll be looking to stay here again for sure.
