Perfect Spot for Family Getaway

Summit Lodge was a fantastic place for my first multi-generational family getaway to Hocking Hills. Plenty of space for family group activities and alone time, when required. The pool and hot tub were a big hit with my water loving family. S'mores over the fire pit with the light show filling the sky around us provided the perfect end to a day hiking at Old Man's Cave. My little sisters rarely left the porch swings during downtime from family activities. Thank you Evelyn and Leslie for your attention to detail and prompt responses to our needs.

Was clean and lots of room in cabin. Not a lot of room for the boys to play catch outside though. Loved the swimming pool as they all love to swim. Hot tub was used a lot too. Great get away. Hiking trails were close by and most of them went on one after it poured down rain again. Good thing it rained because the waterfall was awesome. Loved the porch. Was used a lot with the propane gas fire pit. Watched lightning shows at night with storms coming in. Glad we went to the Cut Above Cabin.

The house was perfect for a spring break getaway! The pool was everyone’s favorite part and even the parents loved the water slide. The water was warm and it was nice to have the showers with the shampoo/conditioner/body wash right in the pool area. The hot tub on the deck was also very relaxing. We would definitely come back :)

The lodge was beautiful and so comfortable for our whole family. We had so much fun in the pool, playing games, watching movies on the giant couch and making great memories around the table in the kitchen. Thanks for being wonderful hosts.

Everything was exactly as described. Communication was excellent. We had 6 kids from 4-16 and 6 adults and there was something for everyone. From the pool to awesome kitchen table for 12 if fit us for fun and games. The firefly lasers at night was a nice touch as well!

wonderful weekend

The property is beautiful we had a warm February weekend for our visit. The pool and slide were a hit with everyone. The bunk beds in the bottom room are very smashed together and not great if you have claustrophobia. The beds were slightly hard but at least didn't sink in the middle like previous cabins we have stayed in. The kitchen was perfect we were able to make everything we needed. The hot tub was a great place to relax. It really was a wonderful stay.

Wonderful time spent with our family!

The Summit Lodge is a large beautiful home that sits on top of a hill. The views are stunning! The yard has a firepit, playground and many levels of comfortable chairs for relaxing.The kitchen is good size with a large table for eating meals together. We had 15, 7 are children and we did not feel crowded. Multiple beds to choose from. The indoor pool was amazing! Beautifully cared for. We had hours of fun. Also a hot tub, we all enjoyed. We all had an amazing time with many memories made.

Property was great. The deck was amazing with multiple areas that you could hang out in based on if you wanted sun or if you wanted to chat with others or read a book. Pool was a lot of fun and was easier for things like night swims. The showers in the pool room were perfect and cut down on the line of people waiting to use the bathroom showers. The large tv and mega couch on the lower level was the perfect place for family movie night. Great location for going out for the hikes that the area offers and there are options for picking up supplies and going out to eat within 20 minutes. Overall it was a fantastic stay. Only thing to watch out for would be if you have someone that is limited mobility wise. The stairs were a challenge for my 80 year old mother in law, but we knew that was going to be an issue and she was willing to take slow and tough it out for the week. We didn’t realize that you entered the house on the lower level. None of this was the fault of the host!

The pool area was a perfect winter retreat for the grandkids but the temperatures were too low to get outside. Living space was a good size for our party. No cabinet space for food in the kitchen and no drawers or closets in the bedrooms. Wish we could have explored the area and used the fire pit and play area outside. Overall a great getaway for our family.

Family Stay

The house and location were perfect for our few days in Hocking Hills. It’s only a few minutes from all the main park attractions, yet the property feels completely private. This was our first visit, and Evelyn provided everything we needed—plus great recommendations that made our trip even better. The pool, fire pit, and playground area were spotless and perfect for our family. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The home and the many amenities were in incredible shape! We will definitely be looking to stay here again. There are so many nice rooms and the bathrooms are so spacious. There were so many towels and plenty of kitchen necessities for a large crowd! It was 20 minutes from old man’s cave and ash cave hiking which leads to other trails as well. LOVED the property, fire pit, and my kids loved the swing set.
