The Namakagon Landing rental home offers lodging on beautiful Lake Namakagon and the Namakagon River in Cable, Wisconsin. The home is 100% wheelchair accessible, but all are welcome. This recently built, air-conditioned vacation home features a 100% barrier free, open layout all on one level with DSL/Wireless Internet access. The rental home has a large, fully stocked kitchen, two bathrooms, one wheelchair accessible and includes a roll-in shower. The property is level all the way to the lake. There is a boardwalk for easy access to the dock and a ramp for access to the Sweetwater pontoon boat (available for rent daily/weekly).

The open great room has wonderful lake views and a carpeted living room area with comfortable sofa and loveseat surrounding a stone, gas fireplace. The Cable TV set and DVD player sit above the fireplace. The large, open kitchen with tile floor has a gas stovetop and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker/grinder, waffle-maker, toaster and refrigerator/freezer. Cozy up to the kitchen counter on a stool or enjoy a meal and conversation at the dining room table or the picnic table in the yard.

Patio doors lead out from the great room into the sunroom which contains a queen adjustable bed and overlooks the lake. Outside the sunroom is a patio with Adirondack chairs. Perennial garden, and gas grill. A mud room entryway with washer/dryer leads to a heated attached garage, where there is ample parking for two vehicles and parking for multiple cars in the driveway.

There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms, sunroom, and living room. All of the bedrooms are off the great room and the beds are wheelchair compatible heights. The master bedroom has an adjustable king sized, bed (20" high), TV, and full accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower. The second bedroom has a full bed (22") and TV and a third bedroom has a trundle bunk bed (20") that sleeps five. The sunroom has an adjustable queen bed and the best views in the house.

In the summer months, enjoy boating, fishing, canoe and kayaking, world class mountain, gravel, and road biking, swimming, hiking, birdwatching, or just relaxing by the lake. The headwaters of the Namakagon River begin right outside your door. You can paddle the serene backwater channel for a few hours or, all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, if you choose. Several kayaks and a canoe are available for your use during your stay at no charge (Including lifejackets and paddles). The pontoon boat is available for rent daily or weekly.

In the winter months enjoy easy access to the snowmobile trails, ice fishing, and the world class, Birkebiener X-C ski and snowshoe trails.

Great Stay!

Perfect little spot for our group. We were there in the winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake, but the house is only 15 minutes away from the Birkie Trailhead for world class skiing! Great kitchen with everything you need and the beds are super soft. Would recommend!

We are always searching for a place we can take our mobility-challenged moms, and we have now found it. Huge open kitchen, level to the fire pit and dock, roll-in shower, toilet with grab-bars... This place has done more than any other we have seen to insure accessibility for mobility-challenged people. On top of that, it's spacious, private, and gorgeous. Beautiful lake, heavily wooded, and the fire pit is close to the house. It even has an adjustable height bed, and a comfy chair in the living room that's easy to get out of.

We come to northern Wisconsin every year to hang out with my husband’s siblings! We need a wheelchair friendly place for the home and for fishing and this is perfect for us!

Would totally recommend this property for anyone in a wheelchair. The property was very clean. The kitchen had all the supplies need to fix meals. The accessibility for the wheelchair was perfect. We rented the pantoon and were able to get the wheelchair on the pantoon boat without any issues. The host was very responsive. The listing says to bring towels, however the host did provide a dish towel, a dish rag and hand towels for the bathrooms. The couch and love seats have seen a lot of love. We had a bit of a hard time getting out of them.

Overall we love this home, with the exception of the couch. It is very well loved and as such, the cushions constantly slide down and need to be readjusted all the time, That is our only complaint! Would highly recommend this home!

Namakagon landing

Great location, huge kitchen, nice dock. Couch was tricky as the cushions keep falling off and you tend to slide down and off with these cushions. The mattresses were not that great in a couple bedrooms but overall a great location and loved the fire pit and grill Garage area was great. Quick response to texts about a few things very nice people!! Would love to go back!!

The property met my wife's accessibility requirements effectively. She became a quadriplegic as a result of an accident 26 years ago, and the open, accessible design of the property was beneficial. In our experience, few properties outside our own have been similarly accommodating. The water features and fishing opportunities were appreciated, and access to the pontoon boat was a positive aspect. However, there were some issues with the boat, including non-functioning fuel gauge, running lights, and depth finder. A powered anchoring system could also enhance the fishing experience.The home was clean and comfortable overall. Cleaning both the windows and their screens is advisable, and you may also want to pressure wash the outside surfaces.We had a great time and look forward to visiting again.

The property management are easy to work with. Thanks to the owners for sharing their "summer home".

Not as advertised. No host to meet us, garbage all over, stifling heat inside, not paved for handicapped despite stating it was handicapped accessible. Handicapped would have to stay indoors with only one path to walk on. Didn’t feel safe there either. Isolated. Mom felt she was scammed out of her money. We left and learned an expensive lesson

This cabin satisfied most of our accessibility requirements. The interior of the cabin and the grounds were very pleasant. The view of the water is nothing special. Even though the lake is huge, this cabin is in a small "lagoon" type area. I don't recommend swimming there; the lake bottom is all mud. Had we been able to use the pontoon to explore the greater lake, I'm sure we would've had a better lake experience.

Awesome Location

We had a fabulous stay here. There were 10 of us and a couple of dogs. The open floorplan of the home was great for a large party. We loved the dock, canoeing, and fishing. My only complaint was that we did not have any towels, so make sure you bring some. Well, the second complaint is the beds! All of the mattresses need to be thrown out. All were very uncomfortable, so even though everything else was fabulous, we all left super tired and ready to sleep in our own beds.
