This ground floor location truly creates the ambiance of being in a beach house. The view of the pool, Gulf of Mexico, award winning beach, and the Russell-Fields fishing pier create the feeling of staying at a five star resort.

The Calypso is located on the snow-white, sugar sands of beautiful Panama City Beach. A convenient walk to Pier Park, City Pier, Gulf World, Calypso Cafe, and more. Minutes to Frank Brown Recreation Center (ballpark and aquatic center).

Relax and enjoy the ground floor convenience with an expansive ocean view. Our balcony is located at the gorgeous, tropical landscaped 175-foot heated, lagoon-style pool (one of two pools). You have complete balcony access and ocean and pool views from the living area, kitchen and master suite.

Our very spacious (1372 square feet) platinum unit was professionally decorated with beautiful furniture and wonderful art and accessories, and we recently (2016) replaced the bulky armoires and TV's with new dressers, flat screen TV's, and new DVD players.

For our returning guests, you have a few surprises in store! You will LOVE huge mirror above the sofa which perfectly reflects the sparkling turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We could think of no better picture than the ocean LIVE!

Luxury accommodations are provided by a king in the master, queen in the guest bedroom, and a bunk bed that sleeps 3 in the third bedroom. There is also a new (2016) queen sleeper in the living room, which we upgraded with a comfortable gel-foam mattress. Sleeping on the sleep sofa will be a pleasure!

Our unit can sleep 9 guests, but the fire code allows 8.

There are many extras including nine-foot ceilings with crown molding, ceramic tile throughout (fewer allergens), granite counters in the bathrooms and kitchen, and full size washer and dryer located in a separate laundry room. A mirrored wet bar with recessed lighting to create your tropical drinks awaits you.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless appliances and everything to make your vacation enjoyable. Cooking is a dream come true, with THAT VIEW from the kitchen sink, but there are so many restaurants in walking distance - it's a toss-up! Fun decisions!

Our unit is 100% NON-SMOKING.

Smoking is not allowed on our balcony. Smoking includes e-cigarettes and vapor products.

In consideration of those who may have allergies, WE DO NOT ALLOW PETS.

Guests under age 25 must be accompanied by parents during the entire stay.

A $300 reservation/security deposit by major credit card or check will hold your reservation. Cancellations must be made 120 days in advance to receive refund. We only rent weekly during the summer months with a Saturday check in and checkout. There is a three day minimum stay during other periods. Payment in full is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.

About 30 years ago my family started to vacation at Panama City Beach. I have so many great childhood memories that include this beach! We started out renting until as an married adult my parents bought their dream condo on the beach. Sadly, my Father soon unexpectedly passed away and my Mom panicked and sold the condo. About a year later my sister found a beautiful place being built and talked my Mom into building and owning with her, right here at Calypso. Since then, My husband and I have been bringing our own children here and making our own beach memories. At the end of 2013 we were finally blessed enough to purchase our own dream condo right here at Calypso. I know my children will be able to create memories here for years to come. I hope that you too will make lasting family memories in BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON.

HISTORY OF BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON:

Many years ago a young co-ed named Marilyn fell out of a tree (true story!) at the feet of a handsome guy, who fell hard for HER! To make a long love story short, they married, raised a family, then set their sights on their dream - to own a beach condo. They found exactly what they were looking for in a first floor condo at Calypso...You guessed it, that condo was East 102! Being a dedicated Parrothead, Marilyn happily named their condo 'BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON' which is described in a Jimmy Buffet song!

Being on the ground level, you really do have the feeling that you are staying in your own private beach house, and you are a very short walk from Margaritaville!!! (And the fabulous Pier Park, of course!) When Marilyn decided to sell her 'Beach House on the Moon', my mom (who owns Calypso West 104 with my sister Kerry) was excited to let me know. My husband said YES, and now my goal is to carry on the tradition of excellence that Marilyn began with her original 'Beach House on the Moon'. I will also keep the name that Marilyn had so appropriately called it when she put her heart and soul (and lots of money) into making it one of the most beautiful and unique condos at Calypso. She also had the foresight to purchase a RESERVED PARKING SPOT IN THE GULFSIDE GARAGE LOCATED RIGHT UNDER THE CONDO ITSELF! You will never spend time going across the street to park your car, or look for a prime parking spot. Yours will be waiting for you every time you need it...No searching, no worry! Isn't that what a vacation is supposed to be? COME TO YOUR OWN LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN @ 'BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON'.

Calypso towers was everything we had hoped it would be!

Wonderful Owner, Really nice Condo

Pam is an amazing owner. From the moment I booked, she was really easy and pleasant to work with. My family and I (4 children, 2 adults) planned a last minute trip to the beach for Thanksgiving and Pam gave us a really great rate. After sending her an email through the site, she called me and we talked for almost 20 minutes. She answered all my questions, gave me suggestions on places to eat and visit, and was so nice and helpful. She even called me 2 days before my trip and offered an early check in at no extra charge! Now for my honest review of the unit and property:

Pros-

On the ground floor

Very close to the pool

Great view of the ocean

Wonderfully convenient parking place

Great size unit

Really nice layout

Awesome DVD library

TVs/DVD players in each room and living room

Very comfy beds

Super hot water for showers

Huge collection of beach toys

Very comfy couch

Full supply of beach towels for guest use

Table for 6 plus 3 at bar

Nice kitchen

Really efficient stove

Kitchen really well stocked with dishes/cleaning supplies/pots and pans/utensils

Calypso was clean, well maintained, and right across from Pier Park!

Areas for improvement-

The unit was in need of some maintenance/repairs

The unit was in need of a deep cleaning (some areas were dirty upon our arrival)

Lack of kitchen towels (for both washing and drying dishes)

Things to consider-

During peak season the proximity to the pool may be too close for some people (it is literally right outside your deck; this was not a problem for us)

Parking is great, but could feel a bit too tight for larger vehicles, when others are parked next to you.(We drove a Honda Odyssey and parked just fine, but no other cars were near us)

The ocean view is great, however somewhat blocked by the pool (again, this was not a problem for our family)

I emailed Pam the day after our arrival and expressed my concerns about the maintenance and cleanliness of the unit. Not only did she respond quickly, she fully listened to all that I had to say, was very thankful that I brought things to her attention, and assured me that they would be addressed. So yes, even though I had some areas of improvement, Pam and her unit are still worth 5 stars and we would definitely return!

P.S. As I am writing this review, it has only been 3 days since we checked out and Pam has already refunded our deposit. See...5 stars for sure :)

Amazing Condo!

We stayed in this wonderful condo for our family vacation in September of 2015. The condo was beautiful and fully stocked with everything that we could possibly need. My grandchildren loved all of the beach toys that were provided ! It was great being able to sit on the balcony and watch the kids play in the pool right in front of you. It was also great having the parking spot under the unit and not having to park across the street. Great location! Easy walk to Pier Park. I would definitely recommend this condo for anyone traveling to Panama City Beach.

Super Nice

We had a big group with us during our stay in July 2015. This was our first time staying in a condo. It was fabulous. Pam was so nice to talk to even before we got there. Always responded quickly to any questions we had. The condo was sooo nice. It was a lot nicer that the photos. One of the toilets broke while we were there and within no time Pam had her handyman on it. There was a huge assortment of movies and we did watch a few on the night it rained us out of the pool. One of our couples did a lot of cooking, the place has everything you will need. The place was very clean, as was the pool area. It was a little slice of heaven for a week. I highly recommend this condo. Pam is a dream to work with. I am hoping to get back there soon

We are absolutely the best location on PANAMA CITY BEACH. You are in walking distance to everything you may need for the perfect beach vacation. Take a shuttle from the new airport (15 minutes away) or park your car in our SPOT RESERVED FOR BEACH HOUSE ON THE MOON right under the condo, and leave it there all week!

This can be a true relaxation vacation experience.
