The 4-Texas Mimis!

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our stay at this amazing property! The balcony area was perfect for the four of us to catch-up and sip some cool drinks while listening to the sounds and music of the Big Easy. It was decorated perfectly, and the kitchen was well stocked, as well. Pure NO décor, and the original hardwood floors are gorgeous!

The owner stopped by to see if we needed anything, and he is quite the Cajun gentleman, as is his son, Greg, who patiently answered our endless pre-visit questions and made it clear that they would be available for whatever might be needed. We didn't need one thing in this beautiful apartment, except possibly to be in better shape the next time we return for the trek up the stairs to our home away from home! (No elevator for the out-of-shape.) It was more than worth it, though, and you could not hope for a better NO location!

The apartment is within easy walking to all NO has to offer, but don't forget to get a Jazzy Pass & enjoy the streetcars and shopping on Royal and Magazine street. We truly were "Four Mimis Gone Wild" in one of my favorite cities in the world!

We only had one "tense" moment, and that was when I used my "Go to The Front of the Line" card at ACME Oyster house, and I thought for a brief moment we might be stoned by those in the winding line waiting in the heat! YIKES! Again; well worth the disapproval to savor the best oysters in town!

I have been visiting New Orleans on a frequent basis for 30+ years. We have stayed in many beautiful hotels and properties, and this was truly my favorite! Many thanks to the owners who open their property to those who want to experience this great city in true style!

Great home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time to New Orleans and I figured we might as well stay in the French Quarter. This condo is the perfect location! Cathy was concerned because the Bayou Classic would be going on during the Thanksgiving weekend but I felt what a great way to see the Quarter come alive! We could see crowds walking down Bourbon from the balcony which is on the top floor. We were pretty much the only ones in the building. We felt safe the whole time. Felt right at home after the first day. Lots of space to move around! You can hear the quarter at night, but it's part of the charm and it sure lulled me to sleep. Great restaurants in walking distance! The streetcar lines are only a few blocks away on Canal. This is really a great condo to stay in and explore New Orleans. Greg was a call or text away with any questions. If you are looking for a central location that makes you feel like a local, this is the place!!! Thank you again Greg and Cathy!

Repeat offender....

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in this unit multiple times now and each time I leave, I can't wait for the following years trip. One of the biggest reasons for my excitement for each trip...the added experience that staying in the wonderful accommodations provided by Cathy and Greg in this unit. The owner's have been nothing short of sensational in always responding quickly to my questions. I can't say enough about the unit itself. The location...perfect. It has always been clean each time I have stayed here and this is one of the larger units you will find in the Quarter. You have 2 great options for food and drinks almost directly below the unit in Oceana and the Copper Monkey. You are within an incredibly short walk of anything you want to do in the FQ. I have said it before in a different review but want to reiterate this thought as the sentiment has not changed...I will not stay anywhere else when I come to New Orleans unless someone has already beat me to this unit for the time I am in town.

Great location - GREAT Condo

  • 5 of 5

If you want to experience New Orleans and the Bourbon Street area, this is the place. 1/2 block off Bourbon, you get to be one of those people who have a key to just a plain old (but cool) door. The condo sits above a couple of restaurants and next to a hotel and it is "very" old but well maintained and beautiful. It's on at least the Third floor (many many steps) and has a large beautiful balcony overlooking all the action. There are 2 floors (so more steps) with one bedroom suite "up". So be prepared to lug your suitcases. Believe it or not, the noise level in the bedrooms was minimal. Everything was immaculate. Beds were comfortable and the decor was beautiful. There were 2 couples, consisting of me and my husband, and then my father and his wife. The porch is authentic with gas lights. The pictures on the website are accurate and capture the condo well. My dad (who is 86) became ill, so I can also give Tulane Medical Center 5 stars), but the condo was roomy, two couples can easily stay and have privacy.....and enjoy staying like a local! I would stay here again, and the owners were great to work with!

A fabulous find for Mardi Gras!

  • 5 of 5

After researching many properties on VRBO I found this gem! We were a group of six women and found this place to have everything that we were looking for to celebrate Mardi Gras and NOLA! This top 2-floors condo was right off Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter. From here we were walking distance from the parade routes, the river, shopping and many fabulous restaurants. You couldn't beat the location and accommodations! We were very comfortable in this charming roomy condo. Loved getting up in the morning and enjoying a leisurely breakfast to start the day. Everything we needed was provided, right down to chairs for parade viewing. You can't beat the wonderful balcony! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Cathy and Greg!

No better location in the Quarter

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from staying in this fantastic condo. I have now stayed in the unit multiple times and as long as our trip has enough people to warrant renting a unit of this size, I will not stay anywhere else. The location of this unit could not be any better if you want to experience all that the French Quarter has to offer. In addition to having the perfect location, the unit is very well kept and it is much larger than many of the other units you will find in the Quarter. The steam sauna is an amazing way to start your day after a night out on Bourbon Street and the bedrooms and couches allow plenty of room for everyone's comfort. Greg and Cathy are so easy to work with and have always been extremely accomodating and helpful through the booking process and throughout the stay.
