About the property

There is just something about this house that is so cozy & welcoming. The yard is large, with some very tall, old trees that make it feel like you are in your own world, yet this location is anything but detached from the things you need & want in Nashville!!
This is a great location especially if you have an early flight out, or plan to go to the Opry & downtown. Taking an Uber or Lyft is inexpensive (around $12-$15 to downtown) and quite available due to the proximity to the airport.
There is a fenced in section of the back yard, great for dogs, however it has not been escape-tested, so please keep an eye on them! There is even a doggie door for smaller dogs into the fenced area.
You may use the entire downstairs (what is pictured). The upstairs is what is listed as "shared space" because I have personal belongings up there. But that is usually locked, and I will not be staying there while you are. However, if you will have a need to use the air mattresses, then you will need to use this space.
Parking is available anywhere in the driveway, though I may need to access the trailer housed in the carport from time to time (mainly around mowing times). I will give you advanced notice of this so you won't be caught off guard.
The front door has a keypad lock, but once you have entered, you are welcome to use the side door to bring in luggage, etc. if you prefer. The code will be changed with each guest for your security.
There is a security system, which you may use if you wish. The code to access it will be the same as your door entry code. However, the fire alarm will always be active.
This home is registered with Metro Codes, & has met all of the requirements for the permit including the fire marshal inspection. There are interconnected smoke & CO2 alarms throughout.
I hope you find this home as charming as I do!

About Emily Peck
I'm a musician in Nashville, but have always wanted to have my own business, and here it is! I love hosting, and this is a dream come true!
Emily Peck purchased this House in 2017
Why Emily Peck chose Donelson
The charm oozes out of this little house. It's hard to explain, but I think it likes hosting as much as I do! When I first looked at this house, I fell in love. I put an offer in on it, but didn't get it. But that contract fell through, so I tried again! And I still just love it. I refinished the hardwood floors myself, and painted the extensive wood paneling throughout the home, and love it even more! I've bonded with this house now for sure! I can't spend enough time here.
What makes this House unique
My goal with decorating was to create a space that would make my guests feel like they were at home in a 1950's vintage feel home, with the updates that makes modern life wonderful. I am still working on details, so the listing pictures may change, and the home may get even better between now and your stay! And based on the feedback I've gotten from my early guests, the charm of this little house will win you over, too! Easy access to interstates make it easy to get around town, and proximity to the airport means Lyft and Uber are readily available and quick to arrive. There is also a Music City Star train station nearby.

Very nice little house conveniently located.
We stayed in this property from Feb 15 to Feb 20. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. It is conveniently located for the Grand Old Opry, Opry Mills shopping mall, and the Hermitage (past home of Andrew Jackson). It is close to the airport which would be good for those patrons who fly into Nashville. It is also close to the Donelson MTA stop. We left our vehicle at the station and used the MTA system to get to downtown Nashville. There is even a pair of free bus loops to take you around the downtown area. We used Lyft to attend the Grand Old Opry because the National Wild Turkey Federation convention was being held in the Gaylord Opry Convention Center and the area was packed with traffic. The wait for Lyft at the property was 4 minutes or less.
The only improvements that we suggested that (according to what we read in the information book at the house) is "coming soon" would be a comfortable chair or two. The living room furniture is a day bed and, although it did suffice, it wasn't very comfortable for extended periods of time. This is fine if you are on the go most of the time but we are an older couple that did most of our running during the day and would have preferred a better sitting arrangement for the evenings. This is NOT a deal breaker, though, because the property was well stocked with what you need for an enjoyable extended stay. Further, if anything is needed, Emily (the owner) was always just a text away.
We definitely recommend this property for your Nashville stay.
Cozy home with everything we needed.
I loved this home. We stayed for 3 nights and the location was perfect. Our little fur baby Cooper loved it here as well. I would suggest this home to anyone traveling to Nashville. Thank you so much Emily.

Very nice, very clean and beautifully decorated.
The landlord was very helpful and information was nicely presented. It made our visit in Nashville a very pleasant experience.
Very gracious hostess. Check-in and check-out were simple and easy. I really enjoyed the decor and notes left around the house.
Christmas in Nashville
This house was perfect for my family of five. The location was great. We had two Christmas festivities at Opryland to go to and it was less than 10 minutes away. We also drove into downtown Nashville twice. If you like to shop, the Opry Mills mall is great! The kitchen was very well stocked. One thing we could not find was a cookie sheet, but we purchased one and left for other visitors. I highly recommend this place if you want a quiet get away in the Nashville area.
Perfect cottage in an awesome location
Very pleased with the house and host! Great home for anyone traveling to Nashville for the first time...location was key! Thanks for everything, Emily!
This location is great for getting in and out of the airport, heading downtown, or to Opryland. The easy access to Briley Parkway and Route 40 make it easy to head anywhere! This is a part of Nashville where people live their whole lives. Experience living in Nashville like a true Nashvillian!!
