Swap the busier towns of Sorrento and Positano for the pretty seaside town of Praiano, halfway between Positano and Amalfi. Carved out of the hillside, with spectacular sea views, Villa Jacaranda offers maximum charm, contemporary comfort and easy access to the beaches along this popular coastline.



Access to the villa is around 500m from the main road along a pedestrian lane. The nearest parking, on payment, is at about 1 km from the villa.



Outdoor space on the Amalfi Coast is generally limited, so with what are effectively two separate garden spaces, Villa Jacaranda is quite unusual. A flight of 21 steps leads from the villa entrance on the lane up to the ground floor garden. Here, you can enjoy relaxing meals while you drink in the fabulous views across the ocean. To the side of the garden, a basic outdoor kitchen area, with a barbecue grill and sink, is a useful addition for dining al fresco. A second flight of 25 steps leads from the ground floor garden to an upper level, where you’ll find another lovely outdoor space comprising a terrace and grassy garden area with the pool.



Verdant lawns run alongside the pool, providing plenty of space for kids to play, while the large terrace is furnished with a pergola-shaded table and chairs, and sunbeds to relax on and enjoy more incredible sea views.

Extending over 110m², the villa’s layout makes it an excellent choice for families or a group of friends. The main part of the villa, including the lounge, kitchen and 2 of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor level, with a third bedroom and a bathroom accessed from the terrace on the upper floor. A wonderful private terrace, exclusive to the third bedroom, provides the ultimate in sea views.



The main entrance to the villa leads directly from the ground floor terrace into the lounge. Bright and spacious, this is pleasantly decorated with dazzling blue tiled flooring and simple whitewashed walls, with large picture windows that ensure the room is filled with light and the sound and sight of the sea. There’s plenty of space to relax, on the two-seated sofa (converts to a sofa bed) or armchair, and the room also features a dining table and chairs for six. The well equipped kitchen is separate from the lounge and has a door leading out to the garden.

• Choose the quieter town of Praiano as an alternative to the busier towns of Sorrento and Positano.

• Think about visiting in April, May and September when temperatures are milder and the main attractions along the coast a little quieter.

• Leave the driving to someone else! Getting around the Amalfi Coast is much easier and more relaxing on public transport and the nearest bus stop is just 700m away. Alternatively, ask us to organise taxi transfers.

• Do be aware that steps lead to the main villa entrance and again up to the pool.
