Julya and Fred have a beautiful home, abundant with fruit trees, foliage and natural beauty!Having the opportunity to wake up to the songs of island birds was a dream! Heading outside to watching the gold dust day geckos was just peaceful! Then drinking coffee on the lanai, and soaking up some sun, this property offers it all! Thank you, Julya & Fred!

Beautiful space

A well-equipped and comfortable little flat, but the standout feature is the huge lanai. 4 separate sitting areas, with views of the sunset over the ocean, and plenty of shelter from Kona's afternoon rains. Would stay again!

Wonderful location and view!

We slept quite well and enjoyed the lanai tremendously. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and run around as we had two children, 6 and 20 months, needed some room. Morning cards and breakfast outside. Kitchen well equipped with great appliances, coffee makers, etc. Julya and Fred were available if needed and ready to answer questions. Mahalo to them both!

Wonderful house with beautiful ocean/sunset views!

We had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home and would highly recommend this place to everyone! We were a party of five and the place was very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The rooms were equipped with comfortable beds and closets and the kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, cutlery, appliances and essential food items. The view from the Lanai was breathtaking and it was tastefully decorated with sofas and dining tables/chairs to have a relaxing meal enjoying the ocean views and sunsets. The location was perfect with walking trails nearby and restaurants, stores and beaches just a few minutes by drive. The place also had all the beach amenities such as boogie boards, chairs, snorkelling gear and beach toys that came in very handy. The owners Julya and Fred had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and were always there in case we needed anything. Overall it is a beautiful place as advertised and we would definitely stay there again.

Family vacation

Overall an absolutely amazing experience. The space itself was clean and as advertised. The views were perfect and the lanai is where we found ourselves basically every evening. The inside is a bit small but with two adult couples it was more than enough for our needs. And even with no AC there was plenty of natural breeze through the entire house. Our hosts were amazing and available of/when needed. They were able to answer any questions we had. They live at the property but were hardly noticeable. The beach items, cooler, and grill they provided were a huge help. We made dinner for about 6 to 8 others and had ample room to all spread out and enjoy the breezy lanai. I would 100000% recommend anyone to stay here. From our whole party we can not wait to come back to Kona and stay here again. Thank you Fred and Julya!

Small, yet nicely appointed inside, huge lanai

The inside of the apartment reminded me of a studio hotel room. The 1200 sq ft on the listing must include the lanai which is bigger than the inside of the apartment. That being said, the apartment was well appointed and looked to have been recently updated based on the appliances. I think the kitchen had everything we needed. The lanai is huge with several seating areas/tables and we spent quite a bit of time out there. The kids enjoyed counting the geckos that came out at night. We used the chairs and umbrella as well as the soft-sided cooler from the beach supplies. Nice washer and dryer are outside on the lanai. The driveway is a bit treacherous so we parked on the street which worked out just fine.

Home away from home!

We loved our stay! Beautiful views, spacious lanai, perfectly stocked kitchen and super comfortable living space. We also loved having access to all the beach supplies we needed. A definite plus and just yet another reason to thank Julya and Fred. They are awesome hosts! We highly recommend booking a stay with them when visiting The Big Island.

We enjoyed our stay! The lani was beautiful and when at the house, we spent the majority of our time on it . The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed.

Family get away

The outdoor area is great. You can just hang out and enjoy the view. Unique and adds a lot of space. Close to drive to the tourist hot spots, but away from them so you are not inundated.

So relaxing and beautiful nature and sunsets

We loved this place. It was a perfect place to take it easy, be in nature And watch every sunset over the ocean. We have no complaints. We got the relaxation we needed. there was beautiful snorkeling nearby. the owners were warm, kind and helpful in every way possible.We hope to return as often as possible. I loved the mosaic on the shower floor, the seahorses on the plates, and the earth friendly detergent, shampoo, condition owners and the lemon tree, the papaya and breadfruit trees in the front yard.

Home Away From Home

This place is a true gem! It’s loaded with everything you need- from boogie boards, snorkeling stuff, beach towels, ice chest, to the awesome kitchen thats stocked with everything. It’s a home away from home! Super clean, and tons of extra blankets, sheets and towels. The view is incredible. You can enjoy a beautiful sunset every single night, without having to pack up and head down to the beach. The patio area is incredibly large, and where we hung out most of the time. The host are incredible nice and accommodating with anything you may need- we will definitely be booking again soon! Thank you again for having us. Aloha!

SPLENDID LIFETIME MEMORY

Unmatched comfort and totally relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the Lanai spending most time there. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, nothing lacking in amenities including oil and spices. Comfortable beds and wonderful shower. Though we did not meet the owners (on their own vacation) their son was there to great us and help out once when needed. We hope to be back

It was a clean, beautiful place, with a fantastic spot for viewing stunning sunsets. The hosts were helpful and fun, and we were centrally located to explore great places throughout the island.

Most enjoyable stay

We so enjoyed our stay in Fred and Julya,s lovely place. It was just as beautiful as pics showed. The lanai was amazing with the most gorgeous sunsets. Enjoyed early morning coffee on the lanai couch. This was the most stocked place we have ever stayed in. Other than our main food we didn’t have to buy any staples like coffee filters, dish/laundry soap, spices, etc. So appreciated. Fred and Julya are a lovely couple and very helpful in suggesting things to do on this beautiful island. This is a very private and comfortable place to stay. We highly recommend staying here!!

Julya & Fred were very friendly and accommodating. Their place was well stocked with everything we needed, including use of all the beach gear! We had fresh bananas and picked lemons for cooking and lemon aid! Julya was very helpful when my allergies acted up, even bringing us an air filter to use! We stayed here as our home base for exploring the island and many beaches during our a 2-week vacation. Really enjoyed relaxing mornings and evenings on the spacious outdoor-living covered lanai. We would definitely stay here again!!

Great place for kids

From the moment I pulled into the driveway, I was not disappointed. The place is spotless and aside from groceries, the kitchen has everything you need. Both beds were so comfortable and we slept great. The neighborhood is so quiet! The shower was wonderful too. The lanai is absolutely fantastic, we ate breakfast out there every morning and at night my 8 year old daughter and 10 year old daughter would run around inside the lanai playing with the lights and using their imaginations. The front yard is great to run around in and a chicken laid eggs under one of the chairs! My girls were so excited for their "discovery". A couple of neighbor kids even came over to play! Julya is wonderful and completely not intrusive. One of our nights, we drank wine and chatted. Thank you Julya for your amazing hospitality!

Quiet neighborhood, fantastic lanai!

This was the perfect place for our 12-night stay in Kona. Up the hill and cooler than on the water, very comfortable with nice breezes and fabulous ocean views. Remodeled with new everything plus nightlights, power cords, plenty of towels. And the lanai, wow, it felt like we were staying at a luxury resort! Situated in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes' drive to Keauhou shopping center (KTA grocery store, Saturday farmers market, Long's Drugstore, Kenichi sushi, and much more) and to Magic Sands beach. Very friendly and accommodating owner. Plus neighborhood chickens, cat, toads, mongoose, and birds of course. Thank you Julya!

Relaxing with an excellent location/views

A very relaxing place to spend for last 3 days in Kona for this trip. The rental is below the owner, but you have plenty of privacy with your own driveway and entrance. You have two separate living areas, an indoor kitchen, bath and bedroom section and a very nice, and very large, outdoor living room. We spent most of our time outside and enjoyed it very much. Julya is very friendly and easygoing, if you need her she's there, but she does not impose at all. Despite renting a $500k condo in Waikoloa immediately before this, this was our favorite place on this trip. The sunset views are incredible, the temperature was perfect and everything is peaceful. It's very close to downtown Kailua-Kona (5-10 minutes depending on traffic). There's a decent shopping mall down the hill (Keauhou). It's also close to the Sheraton Kona Resort, which has a Wednesday morning farmer's market. From this rental you can quickly get to Alii drive and find nice beaches which you can usually park next to.

We Loved the home! Perfect elevation!

This freshly remodeled home was nice and clean when we arrived. Julya is a wonderful host that made sure we were supplied with everything we needed for our week stay. Even fresh ground kona coffee awaited us everyday. As for the home the bedrooms and nice and the beds are super comfortable. Kitchen and bath are remodeled very cute and both were stocked with all necessities. The lanai is amazing!! I can’t stress this part enough. Every morning and night after exploring the island we found ourselves loving the lanai. It’s proabably around 600-800 with wonderul seating and four ceiling fans if needed. It’s doubtful you would because at 800 foot elevation it takes the hot nights down to where it’s just right. Overall I would absolutely stay here again. A true value in kona! Mahalo Brett and Kely

A great place to stay! Super clean, well equiped, very nice owners.

We had an amazing 4 days stay at this very nice and quiet place. The house is very well equiped. The outdoor lana'i is also very well installed; we enjoyed relaxing on the cozy sofa and having our breakfast outdoor. Thank you Julya & Fred for your hospitality.
