Suite Serenity is a charming near-the-ocean retreat for a couple or single person - your base from which to explore, experience and discover all things "beautiful" West Coast - from walking, biking and hiking trails, to sailboarding, canoeing and kayaking adventures, diverse dining and shopping options, to studio tours of talented local artisans. It's a peaceful year-round retreat for a couple or solo adventurer. You can be as busy or as low key as you want to be. Our Mission: to exceed your expectations! Our Mandate: to make your stay memorable and one you'll want to repeat!
This cozy, 3-room view suite (lounge/TV room/mini-kitchen*; bathroom; bedroom) is nestled in a natural setting where "feeling at home" will come easy - designed for comfort and quite relaxation. Suite Serenity is a 2-minute walk to the sea. The suite is attached to the main residence and is totally private with its own entrance and cedar deck w/Cape Cod loungers. Amenities include a Keurig coffee/tea make w/pods, and Nespresso machine, fridge (stocked w/milk and cream, juice, yogurt) and freezer, microwave, filtered hot/cold water dispenser, fresh muffins/fruit delivered each morning (a "Continental-style breakfast). Luxurious down bedding; hypoallergenic options. Deluxe towels in the bathroom that features a Rain Forest shower. Sumptuous lounging robes/slippers. Electric fireplace in sitting lounge. Wide-screen TV. Wi-Fi. Board games. Umbrellas.

We look forward to hosting you! We will be on hand to introduce you to your private suite, to answer any questions and to provide tips on places to see and things to do, including restaurant recommendations. If you need anything, we are available and easy to reach.

Serenity Indeed

From the moment we pulled into the driveway to see Kea, waving to us from the porch, until the moment we reluctantly drove away we could feel the quiet serenity of this lovely place release us from stresses and strains of life. The little things in the beautiful decor and the cleanliness of the suite, inside and out made us feel cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful fresh berries and muffins for breakfast with a plentiful supply of coffees and teas. Big fluffy towels and a short walk to an expansive typical BC beach with waves, round stones and the ubiquitous 'Beach Combers' logs aplenty. We loved seeing a doe and 2 fawns who came quite close to us. Thank you so much Kea, Ken and of course Bentley!

Fantastic Guest Suite

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Ken and Kea met us when we arrived (Bentley too) and provided recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and other activities. The suite is extremely clean, comfortable and a quick walk to the beach. We look forward to staying there again sometime on a future visit to the Sunshine Coast.

Perfect Get Away!

We recently stayed in this wonderful accommodation in a quiet neighborhood on the Sunshine Coast. It is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The hosts were very welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This was such a lovely memory made! Kea and Ken’s quiet, lush, beautifully manicured, lovingly tended property with soothing and cherished oceans views is tucked away beneath the shade and majesty of BC’s Sunshine Coast. Minutes from the quaint downtown shops and restaurants of Gibson’s landing and moments from the expansive rocky shoreline there is always a gentle breeze, a cozy blanket, plush nautical outdoor cushions and a sumptuous breakfast of decadent pastries and bountiful fruits. Unobtrusive, gracious and kind, Kea and Ken flanked by their ever wagging, playful golden Bentley tend to their guests as you would a dear friend! The granny flat/cottage attached to the main home, but discretely private is tastefully and artistically appointed with reverence and detail. Plush towels, lovely bedding, slip covered furniture and sea foam blue accents let you slip away for a moment’s pause— and memories of summers long ago! I found peace here. It is a special place!

Lovely Sunshine Coast stay!

We had a lovely stay at Suite Serenity. Kea & Ken (and their adorable dog Bentley) were excellent hosts. They provided us amazing hospitality, from supplying breakfast each morning to giving us restaurant & activity recommendations. Suite Serenity is in a beautiful location, super close to the beach and a short drive to Gibsons Landing. There’s lots of beautiful places to visit in the area; we highly recommend Smuggler’s Cove Marine Provincial Park. Thanks again Kea, Ken & Bentley for having us!

A wonderful place

A beautiful, serene suite close to the ocean and in a perfect location to experience the Sunshine Coast. Large bedroom, bathroom and charming living room with your own deck. Great breakfast included which is brought to you. The owners are kind, endearing and always helpful. Simply superb.

Serenity Indeed!

An absolutely wonderful stay at the Serenity Suite. Kea and Ken are outstanding hosts - kind, attentive (but not too!), and responsive. The suite is cozy and well-appointed, with everything you might need. If you are looking for accommodations on the Sunshine Coast, I highly recommend!

Quiet, private and comfortable

The property is well-maintained and very clean. A continental breakfast, consisting of fresh fruit, pastries and juice is provided every day. The suite is extremely charming in its furnishings and decor. There is a small deck with chairs, umbrella and a view of the water. I have stayed in many VRBO rentals. Hosts Kea and Ken may be the kindest, most generous people I've ever encountered. I highly recommend staying with them. One caveat: the kítchenette is probably not what you want if you love to cook (no sink, oven or hot plate). It does have a fridge and a microwave. I was okay with that. Overall, this is a great rental. I stayed for ten days!

Loved everything about our stay. Everything was top notch. Kea and Ken were very welcoming, everything was as described in the listing, bed and furnishings were very comfortable and cozy. Super clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Suite Serenity is Awesome

Kea and Ken have a beautiful property, well furnished and very comfortable. The breakfasts were incredible--with fresh fruit and excellent muffins and pastries. Our hosts communicated extremely well and were friendly and helpful and respectful of our privacy. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a wonderful place to stay with great hosts.

Wonderful stay

I had a wonderful, quiet stay at Suite Serenity. The location is great, with just a short walk to a beautiful beach and only a short drive to town. The interior space is set up so nicely and is very warm, cosy and welcoming. The bedroom is also very comfortable. Kea and Ken are super hosts, making me feel very welcome and making sure I had all that I needed. The breakfast fruit, yogurt and muffins are such a treat! My whole experience was terrific from start to finish. When my time was over, I was sorry to leave!

Great Hosts, Great Spot

Kea and Ken were both amazing hosts. They went above and beyond with details I have not seen with vrbo hosts before. They left a bottle of wine in the fridge (The unit was extremely clean and their communication was amazing. Kea would respond to my texts very quickly. I highly recommend this host and Gibsons bc is quaint , beautiful seaside town with lots of great local seafood spots and hikes. 5/5

Cozy, peaceful getaway with great views

We really enjoyed our relaxing, two-night stay at Ken and Kea's Bungalow. The communication was perfect - thoughtful, responsive, warm, and detailed. The place was very clean and calming with a great view of the ocean from our own private patio. Super comfy bed and other furniture, well stocked bathroom and kitchenette, tons of natural light, waterfall shower and extra-long bathtub with a skylight above, and lots of sweet details throughout the space to help us feel welcome and comfortable. Ken and Kea generously provided healthy, tasty breakfasts and snacks and gave us great recommendations for nearby eateries, beaches, and a yoga studio. Even though the suite was technically attached to the main house (with its own separate entrance), we still experienced quiet privacy. The beach access is remarkable, and the location was such an oasis for us. Also, one of us forgot our watch when we checked out, and Kea was so kind to post it to us for free. In short, we could not have asked for better hosts. Highly recommend. What lovely, considerate folks and such a gorgeous space! -Andrea & Pooya

Perfect Getaway for 2 in Gibsons

We spent our anniversary weekend at Kea and Ken’s place. We were delighted to see what a carefully curated and comfortable living space they created. They definitely exceeded our expectations in every way with their thoughtfulness, hospitality, and local information! They are exceptional hosts and we are grateful for the experience of staying at their place and meeting them. We hope to visit them (and their lovely dog Bentley!) again soon! A peaceful getaway

A cute, clean, and thoughtfully appointed space to get away from the daily grind. Despite being attached to the main house, it was a very quiet and private stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, always ready with a recommendation for activities or food. Speaking of food, they're less than a 5 minute walk away from Chasters (an excellent fine dining restaurant that we intended to visit regardless; a happy coincidence!). All in all, an excellent home base for any peaceful island things you plan to do in and around Gibsons. I would stay again.

Peaceful by the Sea

This location is as pretty as it gets. Lovely grounds, and a small cottage that has all the comforts of home - plus. Could not have had a better place to stay.

Ocean-view property

Lovely suite with nice view of the ocean thru the trees. Heavy rains did not dampen the view and experience. Three rooms, - Lounge, bathroom and bedroom. Total privacy though part of the main house.The only concerns would be having more kitchen facilities and a better parking spot. However, would definitely stay here again. Very nice and welcoming hosts.

Cute and comfortable

This was a perfect spot for a couples weekend. The suite is clean, cozy and super cute. Lovely decor, comfortable furniture and many homey touches. The bonus mini breakfast was a wonderful treat. Definitely recommend as it’s also only a short stroll to the beach and easy driving access to Gibson’s.

Wonderful place to escape to and relax

My mom and I spent 3 wonderful nights here. It was so comfortable, cozy, quiet and relaxing. It is a beautiful home just steps to an amazing beach. A short drive to town or to Sechelt. Ken and Kea were great hosts and ensure your stay is a memorable one. I will definitely come back again.

A Wonderful Cozy Setting

We loved staying at this charming, tastefully decorated suite. It provided everything we wanted for our three-night get-away. The unit is cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed curling up on the couch enjoying our books or watching a little TV and slept like a dream in the comfy queen-sized bed. A particular treat was the scrumptious breakfast of fruit and muffins left for us in the fridge each morning. Kea and Ken are attentive hosts and were a joy to meet and chat with. We also enjoyed easy access to the beach (2 minutes away) where we spent a number of afternoons sunning ourselves. Altogether, our trip was wonderful in large part because of the hospitality of Kea and Ken. Thank you so much!
