We had such a wonderful stay in Asbury Park! The house was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our group of 17, and the location was amazing, the beach was just a short distance away, which was perfect. Parking was not a problem at all, which was a huge plus for our large group. The house had everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay, and the host was incredibly communicative and responsive throughout our visit. We had so much fun during our girls’ weekend and would absolutely stay here again!

Clean and perfectly located beach block location with lots of bedrooms for a large group. Owner/manager was very responsive and helpful. Walking distance to Asbury attractions.

Perfect Location

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at The Chelsea. So close to the beach as well as town which made everything seamless during our stay. We had plenty of space for our group of 17 and it was nice to be able to grill one night. Lark was a great host and look forward to another trip to the house in the future.

We had a great time 2 parents with their four children and their three partners and four grandchildren aged 9 months to 3 years. Stayed for a week including two days rain, which kept us indoors. Great location close to beach. House is a hundred years old with lots of funky rooms, Did not need to use basement rooms or kitchen which were musty.

Wonderful Stay With Group

Lark was a very responsive host and the property was perfect for our needs. As a large group seeking to rent in Ocean Grove, our options were limited, but Lark’s house was an easy stay. The kitchen and location were especially nice - well maintained and steps from the beach. Our only quibble was that the low amount of beach passes necessitated some juggling to get everyone on the sand during peak hours, but this wasn’t a major issue.

The house is large and authentic to the neighborhood, a charming victorian with 3 floors and a basement apartment. We had 11 adults and 7 kids and were very comfortable with enough beds and bathrooms for all of us. the host was very communicative and responsive. We had an issue when we arrived, but the host was able to manage a fix efficiently. The cleaning instructions are a bit onerous, but we paid for the additional cleaning fee which took care of that. Overall, we loved being so close to the beach and having everyone in one place. The house is in good shape, but is not a modern renovation/condo if that's what you're looking for.

Spacious and very convenient location for our family reunion trip. Basic amenities and furniture has some wear and tear but the kitchen was stocked with all necessary appliances, pots and pans and 2nd floor washer and dryer were convenient. Coffee maker is combo drip pot /single serve keurig which was a nice option. Plus it includes 10 seasonal beach passes! Lots of boogie boards available but bring some extra beach chairs. The porch was great as was the second floor veranda. Loved that it had so many bedrooms to accommodate our extended family and the fact that many bedrooms have small sinks helped ease up on the bathroom traffic. Great location close to the beach and to the lovely town. Parking was not a problem for us. Host was responsive to all questions and communicative. Even with our large gathering we didn’t need to use the lower level apartment which felt a bit damp and not as pleasant as the rest of the house. Appreciated the kids toys and board games as well. Overall a great place for a family beach vacation.

Booked for a long weekend with friends. House had plenty of bedrooms for 15 people. Front porch was lovely. Close to the beach. There was a major issue with an appliance, it was an inconvenience, but handled efficiently. Location was key.

Fun week at the Chelsea

House and proximity to beach excellent, plenty of space. Some drawbacks - no yard, some tv’s didn’t work, some beds need upgrade, biggest negative- need to launder sheets and towels before 11 am departure- very annoying responsibility for vacationing people paying this much. Overall we had an amazing week!

Only one complaint - and one minor annoyance.

We had a great time. The house fit our needs. The kitchen was all that we needed. The minor annoyance was the AC which was not adequate for the 2nd and 3rd floors. The complaint is that for the amount of money to rent the facility, having to wash and dry the bedding was totally unnecessary.

In the past we did not have the reliable service we have now so laundry is now included. We no longer allow 22 unless we have a clear comfort of those who will be staying and the purpose. AND we added individual AC units upstairs to ensure cool air. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Fantastic beach house

This house comfortably accommodated 20 of us for a great beach weekend. Close to the beach and boardwalk. Clean with good size kitchen and table for 8 with nice front porch with more seating. Really lovely. Will book again.

Perfect spot for our group

We were in town as part of the nonprofit A Walk On Water and needed a large space to house several of our volunteers. Lark's house was perfect! Lots of separate beds, great kitchen to cook our meals, and amazing communication. Already planning on staying here again next year!

Exactly what we needed

We had a college friend reunion, and this property was exactly what we needed. It had good space, a great location, and easy access to the beach. The neighborhood was nice, and everyone enjoyed the time.

L. was very accommodative and incredibly helpful. She was quick to respond and left the house In perfect shape. Could not recommend this house enough for a fun summer beach weekend - great location and tons of space!

Family gathering at the Chelsea

This was our second family reunion staying at the Chelsea and it has all the components for a comfortable stay. Great kitchen and dining area, lots of rooms to suit all needs, washer and dryer, air conditioning (it was very hot the week we were there) and a wonderful porch to chill on all day. Best of all, it is so close to the beach...… and a reasonable walk to Asbury Park for a different vibe. The owners are very friendly and quickly respond to any issues. Our family had a great time....hopefully the lottery gods will be with us so we can return again soon.
